Absolutely the best pastrami sandwich I've have in a very long time! I took it home instead of eating there and my pastrami was even wrapped in tin foil as well so it actually stayed very hot to enjoy it at home. Not much takeout not a days stays piping hot by the time you get it home but my sandwich from Desert Deli sure did! The wife had a fighting falcon and was very happy with her sandwich as well! The sandwiches are good. Top notch. I've just had too many issues with customer service. Last year I stopped going because I couldn't order my food. I was ordering my lunch there on average of once a week. Then the service just disappeared. I called in my order as I had been doing. And it came time for me to leave. I drove to the deli and was still on the phone. I told them my experience. This year I was in a hurry and decided to try again. After all I really like the food. I walked in and it was like I was invisible. No one acknowledged my presence. No one asked if I had been helped. They called out an order and the gentleman apologized to the customer for the long wait. So I walked out. I loved the old location. I was excited about it moving closer to a location I could enjoy it. But I'm afraid I just can't enjoy it if I can't order from them... read more

First time there and went on the advice of a friend. For the price for a sandwich pretty good deal, I would pay a buck or two more for a few ounces of more meat was a little bit on the lien side. Had the French roll, love those things but mine was a little hard and felt like it was two days old, not fresh. Will go back and reevaluate my review but right now need some improvement. read more

Wow!!! This is a hidden gem in the middle of Pearblossom and so worth the drive! The owner is pretty awesomely and super friendly and has weekly specials! The food was great. The dinning area dirty; the floor was unswept and multiple tables needed to be wipe down. When we asked the dark headed girl behind the counter she gave a begrudgingly attitude and than proceeded to wipe down the table haphazardly by just pushing the food from her cloth onto the floor. I have ordered from here a couple of times but coworkers take turns picking up. Today I went to pick up and the wait was way longer than stated online (about 30 mins more) when we ordered. I get it though, rush hour gets crazy. No biggie. However, the employees were all wearing gloves but not changing them between stations. The lady at the register was using the ipad, packaging orders and handling food all with the same gloves- I watched closely! Also the cook by the stove had her hair down and flowing- wiping her nose with her wrist-touching the ends of her gloves and not changing gloves or washing her hands. I did not tell the employees as the place was packed- but gross and unsanitary. I did not eat my food as I did not feel like the food was handled well and it's not cheap. This was my first time going to this place. I love a good sandwich. The Hungry Italian was delicious. I'm giving the overall rating a 1 star because of the customer service. It wasn't busy. The customer service wasn't inviting. I know a lot of regulars go there and you can tell because the customer service was different. What made me upset was the comment the lady made when she gave me what I thought was my order. She accused me of grabbing the bag and leaving which was not the case. She said Hungry Italian which I order. I said oh that must be me and SHE GAVE ME THE BAG!!! After driving off I reached in the bag and realized there were three sandwich's which I didn't order. I quickly turned around and brought them back. What should have happen, she should have check my receipt to confirm the order # which I didn't see on the receipt until later and an apology for giving me the wrong order and inconveniencing me to drive back and a thank you for being honest and bringing it back!!! I have ordered from this establishment many times,and they have good sandwiches....but,the last four times I ordered they overcharged me,didn't put everything I paid for In delivery,didn't put all the sandwiches I paid for in order and now today through door dash which means it's double the price! I paid for a California club with bottled drink chips xtra bacon and pickle....guess what I got? I got the sandwich uncooked bacon no xtra bacon no xtra pickle no chips no drink!!! I drove to the new DELI advertising Boars Head, and was met by a staff completely unaware of what a DELI is. This is a SANDWICH SHOP with false advertising. If you are looking for a Deli, don't waste your time as they do not sell any deli items. If you are looking for a sandwich shop, I'm sure theirs are good since they supposedly use Boars Head, though you won't see it in the cases displayed like a deli would have, so who knows? We had the mushroom cheesesteak and the hungry Italian. The sandwiches were ok. We ate them right away, and the cheesesteak was somehow still very soggy - maybe it needs a crustier bread? The Italian sandwich had nice flavors, but for the price, it didn't have much between the bread. I was also pretty shocked to see that even some staff members weren't wearing masks at all despite the current LA County mask mandate. We used to go to old location and loved it there! There was so much more seating than new location!! The new one only has two tables inside and seating outside. The outside was windy and chilly in shade. We sat at bigger table toward corner. Inside. The air vent was above us and so windy the napkins were blowing slightly and we were chilly!! Asked is they could please turn air down as so windy and we were cold she had to ask the chef which gave a look with irritation and she then said,"he will turn it down." The whole time there finishing up the temperature never was turned down! There were people waiting each side of us and we won't be back long time because the lack of empathy and took long time for meal to come! I'm a first-time customer to the sandwich house and I must say I was not impressed. We ordered two sandwiches one tuna sandwich and one raptor duo. I was not inside the establishment when the ordering was done so I didn't exactly order the food myself but when I receive my food in my vehicle I noticed my tuna sandwich was very flat on white bread and very little tuna ( which I could have easily made at home but I wanted to taste this place) and the raptor duo had very little meat and wasn't impressed on how they packaged the food very sloppy and unprofessional from this highly rated establishment. The cost of these sandwiches are highly overated for what we purchased on this day. The boarshead meat what I got from my husband is good, just wish it could have been presented in a better way and a bit more heavier on the meat and tuna for the price. Pretty dang good! 1st time here. Nicely done place, food was great. We got the Phantom Italiano and beef/cheddar stack and we both loved the sandwiches. There's all kinds of drink and green/pasta/potato salad choices. Love when you get a pickle with your sandwich and they also have tv in case you don't want to miss the game. This is definitely one of the better sandwich places I've had in a long time. The ladies working there were really nice and the food was excellent. Are the sandwiches as big as giant Jersey Mikes? No. Are they better quality than Jersey Mikes? Yes! As my husband said, "they're filling, I've eaten sandwiches twice that size but that was perfectly filling". Quality counts! The bread was very fresh but the sandwiches were not so good as to be worth the wait. I was under the impression that this was a new business but it appears they may have just moved to a different location. They have been around long enough to know how to make these sandwiches efficiently and to staff appropriately to meet demand. The poor service and disregard for customer / co-worker health and safety seems willful rather than oversight -- especially one year into the health precautions / requirements.
