Am I the asshole? Click Oh No if you think I am and click Helpful if you think I'm not. Let me set the scene. I walk into this Jersey Mikes to pickup my mobile order. I always try to come past the pickup time since this location usually never has my order ready on time. I stand towards the front since there's no designated pickup area and you have to speak with an ee to get your order. Do I get any kind of acknowledgment from the 4-5 ee's working? No. As I'm waiting, I see my sandwich, along with a few others sandwiches, that are ready and are just waiting to be cut and bagged. 2-3 minutes later a couple walks in and they stand near the front with me. Only then does the girl working the register acknowledge us. She first asked the couple if they were here for pick-up and then pans to me and asks if I was also here for a pick-up. I say yes. She then goes and begins cutting two sandwiches. Bags them and gives them to the couple. I'm thinking great my sandwich is next! While my sandwich sits there waiting to be cut and bagged. The worker then decides it's the perfect moment to put on some chapstick and begin a convo with her coworkers working the line. I stand there confused as to why I still haven't gotten my order considering I can see it sitting there anddd I was here before the couple. Eventually another worker cuts my sandwich and bags it. The cashier then hands it to me and says have a great day! I look her dead in the face, stare, turn, and walk out. Am I an asshole for thinking WTF!! Like literally wtf was that? Since when did customer service become like this? Since when do you service the customer that came in after? Especially when both of our orders were ready. And also why would you put chapstick on when you should be cutting my sandwich? Frustrating when companies let their employees act like this with no repercussions. read more

Omg. I can't believe I just gave one star to my favorite sub shop. That hurt me. Jersey Mike's and I have years behind us. In all these years, I think I had one issue with delivery but 99.9% of the time- it is consistent and addictively delicious. I've ordered at other locations near me but this one in particular is the closest. Yesterday was my second time and the last time. Corporate needs to send someone over there to help the team. They were trying their best to control the situation but the structure is missing. They were trying to fulfill online orders while also trying to help walk in customers. I almost wanted to go back there and help them cus it became a mob. People were walking out cursing at them and the food delivery people were also being rude and yelling at them. They just kept their head down and did their work- doing their best to ignore the angry mob. I was supposed to pick up at 12:57. I got my sub at 1:20. When I got home, my sub was thrown together all wrong, bread literally drowning in oil and vinegar. I think they had to move fast and crank out these subs even if it meant sacrificing quality. What I saw yesterday was three team members rallying on their own. Helping each other and trying their best to manage the grill, online orders flowing in, and the hungry customers waiting in a long line that isn't moving. Food quality was great! Customer interaction? HMMMM The young man that assisted had ZERO PERSONALITY to be public facing. The use of Shore Points was never offered as I had enough and the employee could see them. Knowing that, I inquired as to how many I needed. I was told about 70 (72 needed) for a regular and about 140 (144 needed) for a giant. I had enough for the sandwich that I purchased but did not receive it. Now as SR Manager, I ask and give my employees a reason to be energized as they face the customer with suggestive selling and any perks that a customer may have earned. The idea is to have fun and make each customer feel important, creating that return customer. Yes, even in the food industry, that is what pays our salary. There were two people working the frontline and three in the back chatting with a line of customers forming as I walked out with my order complete. The store was clean and orderly. The rating boils down to the robotic way that the customers were being handled. I have to say, I definitely would still recommend this Jersey Mikes location. read more

I won't support any Jersey Mike's location anymore. I usually order two Cancros every week. It's always hit or miss with how accurately it's made. At any location. If I question the amount of roast beef, these kids get rude and tell me "this is how it's made". Todays visit, the meat was only 4 slices. I knew it was way off. The guy serving the veggies came over, looked at my sandwich, made a face, then looked at me with a scared look on his face. He could tell something was wrong! I told him "umm hey, can I get like 1-2 more slices of roast beef". He said "Yes of course". He asked another worker to slice some roast beef for him. Another boy came over, took off the pepperoni, counted 4 slices and said "That's how much is supposed to be on there, I have to charge you for double meat". I was not surprised. That's the usually answer I always get at any Jersey Mike's when I question the lack of meat on a Cancro. I said forget it and took it as is. I came home. Took the roast beef out and weighed it. Apparently according to their 'Slice Guide', the amount of roast beef on a Regular is supposed to be 4.1 ounces. Mine weighed in at 2.5 ounces. Even visually you could tell there was barely any meat on the bread. Even the employee noticed it was wrong, but went with what the other boy said. So far, corporate doesn't seemed to care about any customer complaint, because I myself, other friends of mine, and a few people in an online food group, have made several complaints, and nothing. Also at this location, last week, while waiting for the sandwich to be made. I noticed the handle for the relish was deep in the mayo. An employee just pulled it out and continued to use the mayo like nothing was wrong. Lying to customers and selling them less product than what they actually charge you for... I've never had a problem at this location until my last visit. Looks like they hired new people that are Lazy. The guy cutting the meat looked high and hung over, he couldn't function, slow. He completely ignored my friend who was behind me next to order. As for the payment type, card would be better. I had $100 on me and they refused to take my money. The only sign that was there was on the cash register 12 inch strip font & you only see it when you're about to pay. I said restaurants usually add signs outside, "no cash or bills $20 or less. I had patience with the girl because she was probably new since she lacked experience. She told me to go to "Five below" and get change, embarrassed me in front of everyone like my money was no good. My friend payed with her card and the cashier charged her $6 more & couldn't figure out how to give me my money back. Cashier did apologize for her mistake. The service is horrible. You go into store to place an order and they prioritize online orders first. So you wait 30 minutes to place an order in store. They need to have a dedicated person doing online orders so the in store people can be served equally. I prefer to watch them make my sandwiches so I know they are done properly. read more

As a whole, this New Jersey Mike's is pretty good. The employees are usually really friendly and when we come in (around 6-7 pm) it's not normally very busy. The location on valley central makes it prime real estate for pan handlers to bug you in the parking lot or even out from at their one table in front of the store. Kinda disappointing that Jersey Mike's as a company took away my fiancé's favorite peanut butter cookies because people have peanut allergies (but they sell peanut butter products still? See picture) and Dr. Pepper from the fountain so they could do their fancy root beer and cream soda but didn't stock it in bottles in the Pepsi cooler. Orange juice is stocked though lol. Too bad they don't have breakfast sandwiches. Tables are clean if you haven't come after a huge rush. The online order is efficient and convenient. A great deal. read more

It's very hard to find good food at a great value, I would say it's practically impossible. At Jersey Mike's you not only get great taste but also great value for your money. I recommend them 100%. I absolutely love Jersey Mike's subs, but today, the service sucked. I ordered with the app as we are always encouraged to do, and when my husband got there, there was a bag ready for him, but food items and drink items were not in the bag. Because I ordered and was only the pick up person, he wasn't really informed of all of the items ordered. I left this for the store to handle since they are the ones getting paid. Now when I try to call, after a few times of them, not picking up at all, I see that they have taken the phone off of the hook because all I get now is a busy signal. We stopped in for a couple of subs last week and were amused by the makeshift PPE they have in place here. They basically have a plastic sheet taped against their ceiling and down covering the window where you'd normally speak to them to order. The employees seemed very busy fulfilling orders for delivery services, so the service wasn't overly friendly but the food was tasty and we felt like it was prepared appropriately. Jersey Mikes is advertising on the KTPI radio station 20% off or something having to do with their giant subs. All you have to do is mention the advertisement and they will give you the promotion. When I went in today, not one employee knew anything about the advertisement (a crew of 3), and the female assistant manager said she couldn't honor it because she didn't receive an email regarding it. Sounds to me that whoever is in charge of advertising their Antelope Valley locations needs to keep their employees in the loop of the specials they are promoting over the radio. We frequent Jersey Mikes on the regular and today was the worst form of service I have received here at the Valley Central Location. After the female assistant manager called her boss they informed her it was 20% off on catering only, but she would honor it for me today, after this she gave off the impression that she did not want to help me. The man the rang me up, for some reason my rewards account was not linking. The 1st total was around $16, then he said the rewards wasn't linking so he had to cancel the transaction and re-rang the 2nd total was around $18.
