My HVAC system incurred an indoor coil leak in August and AC ran continuously blowing warm air. My company at the time added refrigerant with a sealant, a temporary fix until I could have a new system installed. I exercised due diligence and contacted other companies for estimates. Desert Diamond representatives are incredibly knowledgeable and explained to me the reason my particular unit should have never had sealant added and had that not been done, I might have been able to exchange the coil at a great savings versus an entire new system. Integrity is everything for my family. Desert Diamond has earned my families trust today. So in Oct 2019 we had a company out because we our unit wasn't cooling. I'm not gonna go into the details for time sake. The company quoted us a replacement part and said they did a temporary work around to last us till the repair. Well we put in on hold since it was October and planned to do it in the Spring. Spring came around and COVID hit, which occupied our minds. We forgot to follow up. Well fast forward to this week. Of course a few of our neighbors are having HVAC issues. And I saw this man from Desert Diamond on my neighbors roof working on the unit and it was well after 6pm on a Saturday. I walked the dog out normal route and on my way back saw the man getting his stuff in his truck. So I decided on a whim to ask him a for his card. I said "hey I know it's late and I'm sure you want to get home with how hot it is but I live over there and we had a problem with our A/C a while ago, can I have your card" " he's like oh it's no problem It's no bother at all I'm gonna be workin a little while on this" and then he brought me his card. His demeanor and response gave me those good "gut" feelings. So I called yesterday/Tuesday to be proactive for a 2nd opinion. They were able to schedule me the next day!! Yes!! NEXT DAY, in THIS season! I was shocked. So he came today. I showed him the quote from 2019. Gave him some back story and the problem we had and what we were told. He then went on the roof. Came back down. And he gave us great news!!!! He said "looking at it I don't see anything and I would feel uncomfortable telling you to replace it because it's working fine" which took my by surprise. It was honest the honesty and integrity for me. He was very personable. He was doggie friendly and super knowledgeable. And I grew up with a HVAC/mechanic/military/ jack of all trades for a dad. We talked for a little while. And we decided to go with their 2 year maintenance package!!! Home ownership is all fun and games until you live in AZ and your air goes out in the summer. And now I feel safe and comfortable we won't ever run into that situation because Ryan took care of us. I'm here tooting their horn. I don't often do these reviews but I know that their industry is riddled with a bad wrap, everyone is looking for a trusted advice from and expert, so a lot of us just accept our date and go with it without doing more research. Then they find out they were bamboozled. So I'm here to tell you if your looking for a great company, with fantastic ownership, honesty, respect, and great service people. THIS IS IT!! If I can give them ten stars I will! We invited several companies to assess a 2-room mini-split system and Tyler at Desert Diamond gave us the most genuine and transparent estimate. He first asked us if anything had been done to our current almost new central air and we told them what had been done. He gave us estimates on different models and what would be the best option for us. We actually went with the cheapest amongst the various proposals (none of them is cheap in general) and he said that it's the best value given the sizes of our two rooms. The whole process is both online and phone call follow ups, they are extremely responsive, super helpful and friendly. I get that it's because it's a sale but, this is why I'm writing a great review for them. They came to install the system and preliminary test seemed fine, not knowing that it's wired incorrectly. These guys spent a lot of time outside in 107F and they were professional and cleaned up very well afterwards. However, I noticed the rooms not getting cooled down at all. I called back and they right away sent a guy (Stephen) over and told us that the wiring was incorrect and it short-circuited the compressor. They right away scheduled the next day appointment and came with a newer unit and reinstalled everything for us in a short time! Luis (hope I got his name right) even double checked after we turned the 2 units on to make sure nothing leaked and all worked as wired. I'm very grateful for all those guys who came in 105F weather in AZ and worked hard to make things right. All the people at Desert Diamond are just amazing people who take their customers seriously. We will continue to hire them for our air conditioning maintenance. I can't recommend them enough. For context, we have the AC Pro 2.5 ton 2 zone mini-split 24K BTU heat pump. Back in March 2020, we decided to have our old AC serviced (it was installed in 2008). The tech advised that he could service it, it would probably last another year or two, but it was on its last legs. We kinda knew it was time, so we went ahead and got a full replacement, brand new Trane system. The price was reasonable, and our AC has worked great. We signed up for the maintenance program, which has been very helpful in maintaining our system. Even with all that, yesterday afternoon we blew one of the fuses on our AC, probably because if the heat wave. They put us on the list, this is their busy season after all. After a few hours, the tech called and said since it was a simple fix and he was close he would come take care of it. He came at 11pm, and got it done very quickly and was on to his next job. My AC was slow due to the high temps. I didn't think I'd get a company out any time soon but Desert Diamond allowed me to schedule an appointment in a few days (online). Desert Diamond was the second company I had called for an estimate. -Very friendly office and they send you both email and text reminders for the appointment. -Cody came out on a Friday within 2 hours of my initial call! I decided to hire Desert Diamond for my to fix my AC,/Heat, BIG. Mistake. When the technician came to my house I made it very clear cost was no object and I wanted everything fixed right the first time. The technician went through everything and assured me everything was working properly and it was. The next day my unit was not working and I called Desert Diamond to have them come back out being told their work was under warranty but I was charged another trip charge and received another bill because I was told the problem was unrelated. Fast forward another month and my AC is not working properly. I will never use this company and recommend anyone else who reads this so the same. read more

We have been using this company for almost two years now, and every single interaction with them (from the office people, managers, and technicians) has been professional and satisfactory. They have worked with my family and our unique situation, and we been 100% satisfied with them. The only "issue" we have ever had was an appointment/installation/fix taking longer than we were told or expected. However, the techs themselves weren't expecting it to have taken as long and they were very apologetic as well as professional about it. They were working hard the whole time, so it wasn't a matter of them slacking off or being lazy. These things happen sometimes and they are out of the control of us customers and the techs. As with any company, they may not be the right fit for you or they may not be what you want but for us, they have been fantastic.
