The Way Cool Plumbing & Air team did such an incredible job installing not one but TWO new AC units & TWO new furnaces in our home in North Phoenix. Chris and Kyle both were integral in getting this project taken care of for us. We were nervous about the cost and getting the units installed but the team worked with us on both those concerns. They were understanding of our budget and were creative in finding a way for us to stay within our comfort zone. Also, they were quick to get the units installed. We were concerned that we would be without AC for a week but Kyle was able to get us on the schedule a day later! I had a 'new' water softener, it was not only attached improperly, and was leaking a drop per second, losing more water than I thought!( and the water bills had been terribly high for two years! When Jeff saw the problem, he immediately got _+to work, to properly attaching it ( I will review the inept ones separately!) After the water softener, I contacted them again regarding the never ending water leaks..., Outside!!! Jeff took care of those , and by the next bill, I'm hoping to see the bills go further in the direction needed!!!I've been paying for so long, with so much wasted water, that I am so grateful to the owner,Jared and Jeff, for fixing what no one else could find! This was the absolute worst plumbing experience. We as the homeowner installed a new toilet and it flushed but not correctly. We just needed the toilet uninstalled and reinstalled. We were conned into doing unnecessary services in the amount of 945.00 just for the plumber to come to the conclusion that the toilet is defective. It took the plumber 6 hrs to Say the toilet is defective. I'm not 100% convinced the toilet was defective but needed some answer after 6 hrs and a 945.00 bill. Scheduled a free water heater service with a full plumbing inspection--part of their effort to build a loyal client base. Sounded like a great value! Appointment was set for 9 AM - 12 PM, so I rearranged my schedule to be available. The day of, they called to cancel, citing "emergencies" and rescheduling me for Friday. Since I couldn't accommodate, I told them I'd go with another company, and they didn't seem to care. What they didn't realize? I also needed shower drain service, a backyard faucet repair, and HVAC maintenance--work that could have turned into a loyal, paying customer. Instead, they prioritized a guaranteed payday over honoring their own promotional offer. If you don't want to offer free services, don't advertise them. Wasting marketing dollars just to flake on potential clients is a bad business move. read more

Had our A/C crater on 8/19; Beau from Way Cool (better and formerly known as North Valley Mechanical, Heating, and A/C) came that day and found that our 17-year old system was DOA. (We had considered a new system a year ago.) They installed a new 4-zone Trane system on the 21st, with Jorge and Pedro working more than 11 hours in blistering heat. The new system had a malfunctioning temperature sensor and a few zone control and Internet connection issues which Cameron and Jorge fixed in several timely visits over the next week. We have been on their twice a year service plan for over five years, and have found them to be responsive, skilled, honest, and reliable. That's why we recommend them. read more

BEWARE Wladimir Valencia and Mo Travis. Way Cool technician Wladimir Valencia came to my house in Scottsdale to check a heat pump that was not producing cool air. He told me that the refrigerant had leaked out, and it would cost about $10,000 to replace the R-22 refrigerant. Wladimir returned the next day with his supervisor Mo Travis and they tried to sell me a new American Standard 3 ton multistage 17.1 seer2 unit for the outrageous price of $22,194. After I showed them prices on Google AI, their price came down to $15,500. But it was all a scam. I then called Action Air to get a second opinion and quote. Action Air found that the problem with the heat pump was just a bad relay which they replaced for $230. There was no refrigerant leak. The heat pump is now working fine with the new relay. DO NOT TRUST WAY COOL! Wladimir told me that he requested to work on my heat pump because it had R-22 refrigerant. I now know why. A heat pump with R-22 refrigerant is a great opportunity to run a scam on the owner. read more

Earlier this year we became members of their service plan and thank goodness we did! We just had a dishwasher flood! Our regular plumber, Michael, came to the rescue quickly! He explained the freakish problem and fixed it! He also installed a new kitchen faucet and it's perfect. The whole thing took him less than 90 minutes and it was affordable with our membership discount!! What could have been a disaster turned out just fine!
