The AC Team Heating and Cooling, LLC is the company for the job. This company is always responsive, prompt, efficient, and high quality. The company does the job right from the first try. The world is still a great place to be because of people like Nick and his company - The AC Team. After a new air conditioner was installed in my house by the Orangutan company, a Home Depot contractor (try to stay away from this company), I had a leaking roof and problem after problem. They could not fix or didn't want to fix the problem for five years of warranty. Finally, my colleague recommended me to call The AC Team Company. Nick fixed the problems and repositioned the air conditioner in no time. Since then, I have not had any problems with leaking or the cooling system. The new air conditioner in my mom's condo stopped working. I called Nick. He was very busy that day but found the time to stop by to take a look at the system. I can't thank Nick, the owner, and Erin enough for helping us out when we had an issue with our Trane AC unit. I had been using Orangutan for all my AC needs and when their Tech showed his utter incompetence by diagnosing a perfectly good compressor as being faulty and wanted to charge me $2200, I was desperate to find someone who could give me an honest second opinion. I was referred to the AC Team by a good friend and I called Nick immediately. Even though it was a weekend, they returned my texts/calls and set up an appointment for Monday to come out all the way from Surprise to Scottsdale (a good 50 min drive) to inspect my units. Nick found that there was a faulty breaker, loose wiring and dirty filter. Not wanting to do anything more than what was needed, he made two trips during which he thoroughly cleaned the filters, tightened the connections and went to the local hardware store and replaced the circuit breaker. Amazing people and service from the AC Team! I was thinking about replacing our home HVAC system and was enquiring with a few companies. Luckily, AC Team called me first to discuss my needs. When I explained that my system, while 10 years old, still works fine and had generally been "gently used" on account of the home being vacant in the summer months. I received a great education on the benefits of taking a "if its not broke, don't fix it approach". Nick was able to come the NEXT DAY (how many companies would do that??) and did a health check on my system (finding no problems) and provided advice on what we could do to increase dust and allergen filtering. He also set-up a new wifi connected thermostat so that I can check temperature and system operation remotely when we aren't in Arizona. I will certainly being using AC Team for regular servicing and they'll be my choice when a new system is needed. I'm left feeling that one call from AC Team saved us $8,000+ today. I called The AC Team on the hottest day of the year after my 12 year old unit stopped working. Erin squeezed me into their busy schedule and arrived soon after my call. He evaluated my situation and told me I could replace the condenser motor and get a few more months or years out of the current unit or replace the unit. I elected to replace the unit. Nick and team are INCREDIBLE. We first met them a few years ago when we needed to get 2 new A/C units. They were, by far, the most friendly team that came to give us a quote. Nick provided many cost-effective options (A/C units are NOT cheap but he did what he could). Not only did they get the new units installed but they fixed the builder mistakes like pans not being level, incorrect drain lines, poorly created air exchanges, etc. It was a mess up there and they fixed it all at a reasonable price. Our 20+ year old air conditioning unit recently failed. We had a Home Warranty Service but we were not impressed with their contractor and the time it would take for possible repairs. The AC Team came highly recommended on our community website and I called in a panic when AC went out in this record heat. Nick came out at 7 PM, looked at the system (4 years old and serviced last year by another company for over $600!) and offered two suggestions. He really thought my system just overheated. He came back this morning at 10 AM to re-check , go into the attic and see if he could diagnose. He really thinks the unit just couldn't take the 120+ temps and it is working fine today. I had the AC Team install my new central AC and heating unit in May . I heard a slight noise coming from the outside unit where the big fan is . So I called Erin told him my concern and he immediately sent out his team of techs. No waiting no excuses! These guys are the best !
