It was bad enough that I'd gone to the ER the day before and they told me I needed to follow up with an ophthalmologist. Dr. Shah was able to see me promptly and reassured me that I would recover quickly using the eye drops he prescribed. Sure enough I felt relief the next day and the infection cleared in just a few days. Dr. Shah provided excellent care on short notice at a time when I really needed it. It turned out I somehow had a tiny sliver of glass lodged under my eyelid, which had worked its way out, but he was incredibly thorough in making sure everything was okay and that there was no damage. I originally came in for a simple chief complaint, on-and-off red eyes. But what I received was far more than I expected. During my visit, Dr. Reddy took the time to listen carefully, ask detailed questions, and thoroughly explain possible root causes. He told me that my recurring red eyes might be linked to a systemic autoimmune condition, specifically autoimmune arthritis. What shocked me the most was how accurately he described all the symptoms I've been silently struggling with...lower back pain, hip pain radiating down my leg and foot, skin hypersensitivity, joint pain, and severe morning stiffness. I never even mentioned these to him, yet he described them exactly as if he had known my situation for years. It felt like someone finally connected the dots that every other doctor had overlooked. Which means you actually get patient care and you aren't a number to be pushed through (think NV Eye Surgery Dr Debry and Retina Consultants of Nevada). I started going to Meadows Eye physicians about 2 years ago after another local doctor screwed me up pretty bad. Thank GOD I was told about this group. I started seeing Doctor Kevin Firl for a double vision issue caused and created by another local doctor/surgeon about 2 years ago. Dr Firl has been nothing short of amazing, as has their other glaucoma locations in town for a separate eye issue I have had since teen years. Dr Firl initially outfitted me with a prismatic sticker to put on my eye glass and sunglasses lens to correct a severe double vision case I had. It was game changing, however a bit handcuffing since, if you misplaced your glasses, and who hasn't done that, you tend to panic as you no longer can see properly. Dr Firl did a strabismus surgery on me a week ago, and this far the result has been nothing short of amazing. No more sticker on my lens, no more consistent double vision, no more frustration. I couldn't be happier with the choice I made to leave private equity farmed health care and to have joined Meadows Eye Care as a patient. Dr Firl truly exceeded my expectations.

They send you text messages before your appointment to explain the check-in process, which is easy peasy. The only thing I disliked is that they wouldn't take another optometrist's diagnosis of my uncle's cataracts. We essentially did all the tests over again after Dr Roter had performed them last month. My uncle had to spend another $90 just to be told the same thing. After seeing two employees, we finally got to see the doctor an hour later. The office is very warm so if you're like me take some ice. I would also suggest taking some ice water since our appointment ended an hour and 45 minutes later. By that point, I couldn't even make the next appointment because my back was hurting so bad. Oh well! By the time we left at 4:23 p.m., all of the people that were sitting in the waiting room had already left. The doctor was great though. He was very nice to my uncle.

I went to pick them up and couldn't see a thing with them. It was the wrong RX. I saw another doctor who gave me the right Rx this time and re-examined my eye and flipped my eyelid and found the foreign bodies in my eye that had now been there for a month and a half now. What a relief! I went back to pick up the glasses and could see well with them, but they didn't get rid of the night halos as they were supposed to as were ordered. So now I have glasses that are only daytime glasses for this outrageous price. The second doctor I saw there was very good. There is nothing good about the rest of the place to write about.
