My wife bought me a 90 minute Swedish massage from DLS for our anniversary as a gift. I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer, who is VERY thorough, empathetic and kind! She worked on some problem areas in my back and shoulder and gave me a foot scrub to boot! When she was finished, it felt like I not only had a massage but had gone to the chiropractor as well. I was fortunate enough to be gifted a massage and facial, collectively for Christmas by my sister. I was able to redeem my gift card, easily on the Desert Lotus Spa website. The studio itself is located in a plaza, and DLS shares its space with other artists. Parking is available in the lot. Follow signs to Desert Lotus Spa. Wonderful Jennifer will meet you there and have you sign in. There is a clean restroom to use before your service. Jennifer runs all operations here, and she is absolutely lovely. I was even given a gift when I came in, and I left with my gift and a water, and samples. my service was about 45 minutes long. She did a great job on my facial. We talked the whole time. We had a lot in common. She is so sweet. I have my massage coming up in a few months and I can't wait for it! She really pays attention to detail. The room is incredibly comfortable and peaceful. Very easy to fall asleep. Very clean. She had mentioned that she's moving to a different room so I look forward to seeing that when I return. Jennifer is a wizard!! My husband bought me a gift certificate for my birthday, and when I came for my facial Jennifer had a gift ready for me- a beautiful necklace that I just love! So right away I was just floored by her generosity and thoughtfulness. The next hour showed just how close she pays attention to detail. My every need and whim was anticipated and accommodated. She quietly explained every step she was doing, including describing the ingredients and what they're meant to do. Sometimes we chatted (did you know she's both a master level yogini and certified nurse?!) and sometimes she just worked in peace and let me zen. The room was quiet and comfortable and oh so soothing. Now, all of that already had me loving Jennifer, but the FACIAL!! I felt like the most luxuriously pampered queen; the hands/arm/scalp/neck massage was absolute Heaven. And my jaw literally dropped when she held up the mirror! I had some discoloration and sun damage, and it is GONE. Not just faded- gone! My skin is literally glowing. Dewy and fresh instead of dull and spotted. This review is so delayed but I've seen Jennifer two times now. Both times were due to tightness and in need of deep tissue. This last time we did trigger points for my lower back and shoulders. I've been in physical therapy for a few months now which has been extremely helpful, but Jennifer did some insane work on me that provided me instant relief! She released two massive knots which helped drop my shoulders and my hips. I genuinely have never left a massage feeling immediate relief as I did this last time. Jennifer is also so knowledgeable and you can tell how seriously she takes her practice and services to provide gratification and relief for her clients. She's so kind, so generous and such a wonderful person to chat with during the massage. You can tell she wants to ensure she's hitting all the spots explaining what she's doing, why and what you can do at home. Lastly what I appreciated was she said she wanted me to come back in for cupping but doesn't want to see me every month as that's not her goal. The goal is to give me what I needed and to only see me when absolutely necessary. Her overall vibe in her space is so relaxing, peaceful and calming as well. I had just moved to Queen Creek and had been super busy with a new job and family life. I finally was able to schedule the treatment for last month, unfortunately life got complicated, and I had to reschedule the session. When I called to reschedule, I spoke with Jennifer, she was so gracious and understanding, and she allowed me to reschedule without any issue. I had my services this month, it was amazing!!! probably one of the best services I have ever had. From the moment Jen met me in her waiting area, she was just so kind and caring, she was truly interested in listening to me and formulating a plan to make the best use of the time we would spend together. During my treatment Jen made sure that I was receiving the service I had expected. From the deep tissue massage to the hand and foot scrub to the heavenly facial, everything was just perfect. At the end of the service, Jen never tried to sell me additional sessions (though I will book them for sure). I could just tell that this wasn't just a job for Jen, this is her calling. My experience was AMAZING! I scheduled a massage + facial, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Upon meeting her she was so friendly and had great energy and her space was so calming. The massage portion was excellent, she was able to identify problem areas and did not stop until she worked out all tension. She listened and worked the areas I vocalized were problematic for me. I have been working out six days and a week and so sore every day and writing this review even a few hours later, my muscles feel so much better. The facial portion was just as amazing! The add-on services were what made the experience that much better. She was highly knowledgeable and personalized my facial to the specific needs of my skin. The extractions portion was not painful and she effectively removed any grossness from my pores. I loved the sugar scrub on my hands and feet as well. When I was done my face looked so refreshed, even-toned, and smooth. I honestly left so relaxed, like body and mind. I just wanted to go home and relax because I felt so good.
