I had a dental appointment and asked where I should get my nails done. I was directed across the street. That was great, because I needed to ship a package and go to Vons. I was a walk-in on a Friday morning, close to 10:00am (October). A chair was ready for me. Ana was my Tech. I was glad to see a shape chart on her station. She re-shaped my nails and was patient with my not being sure of my color choice. I have wide nailbeds, and she did not give me flat nails or planks!! Thank you!!! Can I take Ann with me? I was in town to visit my MIL and decided not t was time to get a new set. So my MIL got us an appointment. Lucky me got Ann. She's one of the first nail techs that has not cut my cuticles with the file or drill. You know those momi when the file is brand new and they don't round the edges off. Or the drill slips or they don't pull your skin back enough. Yeah, even the best of them have nicked me at least once. But not Ann. Great nails. Clean set. Shape on point. Smooth all the way around. And our conversation...awesome. Naming the movies that went with the songs that were playing over the sound system. To reliving memories from the 80's and 90's. I took my daughter (7 yo) for her birthday to get a gel manicure and gel pedicure today and they had the audacity to charge $95 for a child pedicure and manicure!!! I just find that absolutely ridiculous! Never again! $50 maybe even $60 I understand, but $95 for a seven-year-old girl to get a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Shame shame!!! read more

Wow oh wow... my daughter took me for a pedi it's my birthday, and we are just spending some quality time together... her feet were just done last week .. looked good .. she decided to get a pedi also.. she leaves country in two days ... the lady filed her toenails crazy.. wanted to charge her 65 and mgr decision to give her 10 dollars off .. shaking his head .. I told him I was going to Yelp... he's now trying to fix the toenails ... we'll see... you come to get a professional job .. not a botched job .. I'll keep you posted.... I went in to have my gel nail polish removed. The nail tech not only remove the polish but so much of my natural nail that they are now weak,bend and break. My nail are totally destroyed. The place also had an odd smell. I will no be going back. read more

Stepped into this salon today for a set of chrome gels. 1.5 hrs later (never taken that long anywhere for gel polish removal, new gels & one design on each ring finger). The tech, Rose clearly was new....she applied the gel base coat multiple times, I feel unnecessarily, between every coat of color, before & after is all that's needed. She strayed onto the skin with the paint color & started to remove it with a cuticle cutter after it hardened, the area between the nail & the flesh which made me jump several times, when I said "ouch that hurt" her response was "don't worry" & she continued till I had to ask her to stop. I then asked her to clean up the sides with rubbing alcohol (no other tech has got color on the sides of the nail), she said alcohol would not remove the paint, really, isn't that how gel polish is removed? Perhaps the more experienced techs should have taken over, because Rose (I'm not sure where she was trained, had no clue). Well Rose, after today, I will never be returning to Desert Nails! read more

Ana/Ann is very unprofessional. I showed her a picture of a design. She said that she could do the marble design. She drew an S with white nail polish on top of blue and called it art. When I POLITELY/RESPECTFULLY told her my nails look nothing like the picture and I didn't like them at all... I didn't receive a response of how can I fix it? I immediately received only an attitude. She was loud in front of the customers in the salon and I was extremely embarrassed. Then she short changed me 5 dollars obviously keeping her tip and I didn't realize until I had left. So not only is she a terrible nail artist, her customer service is awful, she's a thief. I can't speak for others in the salon but I definitely wouldn't go to Ana/Ann. read more

Won't be back. She didn't rub the lotion in completely, their nail color selection is horrible, tools weren't sanitized and the lady (though she was very nice) did a horrible job when it came to the deluxe pedi procedure. If paying $35 for a deluxe pedi I expect a great job. She left lotion and oil all over my legs, feet and arms. Nearly slipped out of my sandals when I was walking away. The massage part was only about 3 minutes but it definitely wasn't a massage...it was applying lotion to my skin. Their massage chairs were awful too. Super rough and staggering. I felt like it was realigning my back even in the low mode. read more

I love it because it's a block away from my house and they're not expensive.. The inside of the establishment is set up pretty nicely and I would have to say everything just works out for me.. I frequent here quiet often. I never usually have to wait to get in. I really like the hard gel they have. It literally lasts me a month so completely worth the money. The manicurists are always friendly. They have a couple males which I prefer a female to take care of me. If you advise you prefer one or the other they will comply. They take credit cards and you can leave a tip on the card. Just make sure to let them know. Eyebrow wax $12, spa pedicure with extra massage $35. It is located to the left of Von's. read more

I moved to Vegas a few months ago and this is the first and only nail shop I've went to and I love it , I've only ever had two people so my nails but I prefer ivy and she's the only one I have do them now . The only thing I don't like is that the nails break easily because they make them thin however you can request thicker acrylic and they will do it for you . Over all I love how ivy does nails she's so sweet and patient and she does everything how you want I would definitely recommend . 0/5 - Absolute waste of $130. Do NOT go here if you care about quality. I paid $130 for a full set of hands and feet. The gentleman who did my feet did a decent job -- nothing special, but they look fine and I'm not complaining about them. The woman who did my hands, however... she should not be working in a nail salon. The work is embarrassing for the price. These are supposed to be French tips and they look like a beginner did them with their eyes closed. The white tips are completely uneven, some are way thicker than others, the lines are crooked, and several nails already have lifting and separation at the cuticle area right after leaving the salon. There are visible bubbles, brush strokes, and the overall shape is sloppy. I would be humiliated to have paid $50 for these, let alone $130. Would this nail tech walk around with these hideous nails on her own hands? I seriously doubt it. For that kind of money I expect clean, precise, professional work -- not this mess. Save your money and go somewhere else. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning. read more

the deserve no stars at all!! i own a business and i know what costumer service is and those guys know nothing on how to treat a costumer my wife went there few times and prices looked her to high she was charged extra for things they don't charge you after few times she found out that she was over charged and got advice from another customer to ask for prices up front the next time so she called and ask for a price the guy that answer the phone said he doesn't know the prices so she hang up and gave me the phone the same guy answer and gave me prices that higher than in their price list and from what the charge her in the store my wife went there to Ann the girl that does her nails .. my wife waited half an hour to her to finish and when she finished she took another lady and told my wife to go see someone else i guess if you cant overcharge a costumer so he's not worthy of your time don't waste your time and money small people with bad costumer service read more

I'm a 37-year-old male, and I feel as if I have been discriminated against. I recently went to desert nail salon to get a manicure and pedicure for a special posted in the store window. After walking into the salon, Ann refused me service. I asked if she was serious, and she replied, "We don't do men." When I asked why, she laughed in my face and repeated, "We don't do men; we don't do men." The four female clients there laughed along with her, while I nearly died of embarrassment! There were no signs that said "Females Only" or any other policy for that matter, so how was I supposed to know? Ann is a fraud and a scammer!! Went with my younger sister to have her nails done She ask Ann for a price upfront and was given $35 to do nail polish When she done she gave my sister a bill of $78!!! She charged her Extra for removing the old nail polish and extra for broken nail and extra for hand cream!! Yea extra for hand frickin cream!!!
