Hello yelpers! I recently had a procedure done at Desert Plastic Surgical Center also known as Euroloft. Below I share the pros and cons of my experience to help you decide if this is where you want to receive services. Front Desk / Administrative Staff: Horrible. The worst and most unprofessional front desk staff. You can expect the administrative staff (Michelle) to be on their phones when you walk-in or during various times during your visit they will be texting on their cell phones. They (Michelle) might also forget to send your prescription to the pharmacy... TWICE. Once in office she tells you she will do it, then doesn't. And you call a week later and STILL don't have your medications at the pharmacy. The first time she forgot to send the medications to the pharmacy and the second time she sent them to the wrong pharmacy. The front desk will not offer to help, you must ask them to do their job. For example, I had to ask them to measure me prior to surgery. Which is something that common sense wise should have just been done with me having to ask. There was another lady that was covering the front desk one day that I was there, and she was very sweet and tentative. I didn't get her name but she was awesome and I think she was actually one of the nurses. I wish she was there more than Michelle. I got stuck dealing with Michelle and her laziness/forgetfulness my entire experience. The Doctor: Dr. Rim Marcinkus is very straight forward. He doesn't waste time with small talk or niceties. He is down to business and doesn't waste any time. He works fast and tries to get you in and out as quickly as possible. He doesn't leave much room for questions or conversation. So if you are that person who wants to talk to your doctor and get to know them and play the 21 question game, he may not be for you. The doctor assumes that his administrative staff will answer all of the logistical concerns to put clients at ease. So his focus is just on the procedures. Which is fine by me, because that really is what is important. You can be rude and short with me but please don't botch me up! Lol Dr. Rim Marcinkus may not be the most personable, and he's a little rough around the edges- but he gets it done. And he does it well. I am very happy with the work he did for me. Surgery Staff: Wonderful. The nurse was very sweet and listened to my concerns. She took good care of me and answered any questions I had. It was refreshing because she had lots of empathy and was so kind. Which was much needed after the doctors bluntness lol The anesthesiologist was great too! He was extremely professional and was able to gather the information he needed with finesse and kindness. The nursing and surgical team is fabulous! Overall, my experience was pretty mixed, but mostly good as you can probably draw from my review. Would I go back? Yes. The doctor did good work. His OR team was great. The negative is the administrative staff in the front. Which is unfortunate because they are the ones you need to communicate with the most for appointments, medications etc. They need someone with customer service skills up front. read more

I find it very amusing that my experience was the complete opposite of the review under me. I decided to come on her today to write a review after being recovered fully. I had a Eurolift(facelift) with Liposuction (body) about 2 months ago. Firstly the only person that I've dealt with through my whole surgery/ Botox Journey has been Michelle. She is very knowledgeable about every procedure that was performed. Has gone above and beyond for me in every aspect possible. I'm really pleased with her communication skills as well as her attentiveness. She always has a smile on her face and is very kind. I have been a realtor for the past 20+ years and customer service is #1 on my books. I've had questions after hours and she's always one phone call or text away. I've had an overall amazing experience with the front office ( Michelle) and back office again Michelle. Surgery staff is very friendly and makes you feel at ease before surgery. Anestesia is one of the best I have experienced. Dr Rim is overall a very experienced surgeon. My incisions have completely disappeared and I'm extremely ecstatic with my results. This DR is very experienced and does the best Facelifts. i definitely recommend 100%.

First there is the staff who try to up sell you on everything you don't need. They are the most unprofessional group of girls who lie to your face on behalf of the Doctor. Then there are the staff who accept your payment only to tell you you have committed fraud after they agree to take your Cheque, even though I disclosed it is a Canadian Cheque and I understand if they aren't comfortable with that. Then you have the Doctor who is under investigation by the medical board of California and who requires a practice monitor( google him)Perhaps that's because the Botox he uses is so watered down, diluted, that it doesn't work. Or maybe it's the doctors wife(apparently she isn't the wife) who wrote me out a voucher for "any treatment" in the office in lieu of a 450.00 refund which was a lie. I showed up for my new treatment appt and the staff lied and said they don't have any Botox in the office they will do an abdomen treatment as repayment for botched Botox. I have asked for a refund and they don't want to refund me after showing them video of the Botox treatment. I waited 3 and 4 weeks later and engaged the service of another Doctor to fix the issue. They also accused me of showing up for a touch up six months after the fact, when in fact I was there for a new treatment and to use my voucher. Ru for your money!! Buyer beware. I am proceeding to small claims court for my 450.00 and an additional 1000.00 for the doctor who fixed the problem and as well reporting this doctor to the medical board. Footnote, called this morning and told I would receive a refund, if this happens I will most likely remove this review, will wait and see read more

I went to Dr Marcinkus to have a Eurolift and liposuction, and I'm so happy I did. The front staff worked with my crazy schedule, and helped everything come together quickly. I was limited on time, but I knew I wanted beautiful results. The nurse in the pre-op area was great. I was nervous, but she helped me relax a bit. Dr Marcinkus is quick and to the point. I like this about him. No time wasted. We had already decided on the procedure, and he made sure we're on the same page. After the procedure, my ride was running a little late, so they arranged for me to safely get to my destination, just in time for my bestie to meet us there. Later on, I was able to send pics back and forth to the ladies at the front desk, and they assured me everything was healing as it should. Now I'm about 6 weeks out, and the swelling has gone down quite a bit. I have autoimmune problems, so it'll take a while longer to see the full results. I assisted my mother in connecting virtually with the Dr for a Botox consultation. My mom always has a lot of questions and they were all answered throughly. When we arrived at the facility, my mother was very nervous, she has always been terrified of getting any procedure done no matter how minor, but the entire staff, from the lovely ladies at the front desk to the surgeon administering the Botox and filler, Dr. Rim Marcinkus, were so attentive, comforting, informative and compassionate, they were really able to ease her worries. Dr. RiM Marcincus's procedures are outdated, I had upper and low eye surgery to remove the excess skin, especially around the upper corners. After the surgery, I still had the sagging skin, and worst the stitches around the upper lid were like railroad tracks which is why I had to buy $100.00 scare cream. I told him why he stopped short of the corner and he mumbled, You wouldn't be able to close your eye and botox will help. I told him I got the surgery so I wouldn't need botox. He gave me botox for free on my subsequent follow-up, but I didn't see any difference. Now I've called requesting an appointment and his office never returned my call. After I did some checking and found out his license was suspended for three years, 2017-2020, also there are many many complaints about badly botched surgery, non-sterile equipment, and re-use of disposable items. So I went in in 2020 I went in for the Lipo in the double chin area I paid it cash in full and waited patiently for my appointment here came a month another month and another month I would call in and ask about my appointment either they didn't have no records of me or they will tell me they will call me in a week to schedule my appointment it took them a whole year to finally book me and mind you when I went for my consultation the amount I paid should cover everything I wanted well when it came to the day to finally do it they tried to charge me more for the Anistasia when mined you in my consultation they told me it will cover it so I said no because I felt like they were trying to get more money out of me so I did it without the Anesthesia it's bin 3 month and I look completely the same they didn't remove nothing I went threw that pain and It made no difference my before and after picture look completely the same it was a waste of money and time I could have gone anywhere else and I know I would have better results anywhere very disappointed I have tried calling them back I even went in and they said I'm still swollen lol it's bin 5 months I don't feel swollen don't recommend this place read more

Cheap rates? Yes Poor service? YES! This doctor works from behind a spa and beauty salon, in the massage rooms. He NEVER washes his hands nor use gloves when handling patients for treatment. Seriously? Even poking people with a small needle when injecting botox or other filler can cause bleeding! He NEVER opens the product, he's injecting into you, in front of you so you can see that what you're getting is in fact what you're paying for AND in the quantity you paid for. He can virtually claim it's a name brand product, yet be an inferior one or just water saline (which basically will have no results after you leave). He can claim it is 20 units of Botox, yet be greatly diluting it by mixing very little, if any actual Botox. This is probably the reason why so many of his patients complain about not seeing any results (like me). Very sketchy practice. He tries to upsell you, which is fine, but the major concern is that he's not really allowing patients to see him open the product you purchased, nor does he prepare it in front of you, or allows you to see that he's using a fresh new needle. Dr. Rim Marcinkus has been my plastic surgeon for 10 years I had my breast implants and hair laser removal with him. Amazing results although 7 years have past my breast are looking firm and perky. So i get the "Value Coupon" package in the mail and start looking for things I may need; carpets cleaned, windows washed, teeth fixed, etc. I run across the DESERT PLASTIC SURGERY CENTER and decide to make appointment for botox and possibly some other "Sale" items from the coupon. I've had botox before and so I knew the routine for this. Upon arriving there was no one else in office (strange to me). The receptionist(s) were quite nice and I filled out the forms (minimal as compared to other DR's offices). I was escorted back to the treatment area and asked about a few of the "other" procedures such as "derma planing, Laser skin rejuvenation etc. I was told they didn't do that in this office location. Immediately the nurse/ tech started to suggest other (more expensive) treatments. After listening for several minutes...I said maybe I would return for the $250 facial/ dermabrasion. So the Dr comes in and I ask about doing my forehead with the Botox. I was told that I needed between my brows done and then also my forehead which was 2 different areas (the coupon I had was $150 per area) so I agreed and the Dr left to prepare the solution. Immediately the receptionist re-appears with credit card machine in hand and says "lets get the payment out of the way...." WHAT?? never have I had this happen in a Dr's office before. So I complete the payment and the Dr returns with one syringe and I ask what one area covers in the amount of the medicine. I was told it was up to 20units. And I could come back free of charge if I thought I needed more. Great deal I thought. Again I was told what other items I needed done. A EuroLift was presented and when I asked about the cost "no problem, we have finance plan.." This office has all the markings of a fast buck place than it does for a Dr's office. The pre-payment happening in the treatment room (?) to all the up selling of procedures (I am a 50 something man and do not care to look like a "pulled 60 year old woman" so a face-lift I am not interested in). Also you can write a "good review" on YELP and get a free facial (according to the paper pasted on the wall). The experience left me thinking I should have gone elsewhere.
