Received bill for $1,799 which insurance company Nevada Health Coop agreed to pay for an MRI. What's wrong with the billing department my wife paid her share of $200. Why are they billing us for insurance company share of the bill? Somebody should get their act together. This isn't the first time that this has happened with Desert Radiology. Surprisingly on time and efficient. My mom is here for x-rays and other tests and her primary doctor failed to fill out their end of the paperwork they gave me to bring. Desert Radiologist were nice enough to call and get the paperwork so mom wouldn't have to make 2 trips here. I really appreciate it since mom is in a wheel chair and it's not easy to be out and about. read more

Unfortunately, I've had more than my share of MRI scans over the past 11 years here in the Vegas Valley. Fortunately, the vast majority have been at Desert Radiology facilities. Since I live in Boulder City, I always used the facility previously located on Pecos which no longer exists. The location closest to me is now this one on Horizon Ridge & Coronado. When I arrived on Wednesday at 4:45 for two MRI scans, I was taken back to the area where they are done to find out there was a mixup in the order and I'd have to reschedule. Theresa, the MRI tech was incredibly helpful, understanding I was in a lot of pain and explaining what needed to be done as well as looking at her schedule and telling me to come back on Friday and she'd take care of getting everything done as was needed. Her communication and compassion were stellar and she was good to her word and made them happen today without a hitch. I wouldn't ever go anywhere else for an MRI since their protocol is the best as is their equipment and staff. Theresa put a helmet on me for the brain MRI which makes it so much easier because it doesn't feel as if your claustrophobia is going to get the best of you since it has a mirror which blocks your view of the top of the tube. She also gave me headphones to listen to music throughout the hour plus in the tube. Theresa is definitely a huge asset to this facility. read more

Had a positive experience here for a CT scan. But what was most impressive was that, even with a crowded and noisy waiting room, I was taken into the testing facility within 10 minutes of my check-in (a couple minutes before my scheduled appointment), and they even apologized for the 10-minute wait. I have no idea what they do to make it possible, but obviously they are adamant about seeing patients on time, and for a large medical facility these days, that's practically unheard of. I haven't had a lot of radiology in my day (thankfully), so I'm limited on what I can compare it to, but clearly their attitude toward customer service is one-in-a-million, and for that I can't overstate what a welcome surprise it was. read more

Needed to have an ultrasound performed and was quite nervous. When I walked into Desert Radiology, I was very impressed with the staff immediately. No waiting to get registered, then Catherine took my info as well as my co pay in a very efficient manner, and then I met Marjorie who performed the actual procedure. Just "Fantastic". She was friendly, personable and so very efficient in her skills. I had a referral for X-rays on lower back, wrist & elbow, and X-rays are walk-in only, but I was in and out rather quick! And the guys doing X-rays was great! Very professional & comfortable. Sorry I forgot, didn't think to try to remember his name. I was stuck with going on Wednesday 9/8/15 at around 12:30 during most people's lunch hour and expected it to take a long time. The waiting room had about a dozen people or more in it, so I really thought I was screwed. But I barely got my paperwork filled out and was already called up to the computer girl... only took a minute to get info put in and I only sat back in the waiting area for a few more minutes before I was called for my X-rays. The registration process was quick and they took me back very close to my appointment time. Victoria, the tech, was extremely nice and used my name often - nice touch. She was as gentle as possible (mammo) and captured what she needed in just a few positions. Great experience. read more

Strangest mammogram ever! Went to Horizion Ridge location today. Instead of being taken to a dressing room, the tech took me to where the machine was and told me to take off my top and bra." I could put on a gown if I wanted"I was so uncomfortable!! I am 58 and had many mammo's. This was by far the most uncomfortable and most unprofessional. No respect for dignity of the patient. I will go back to Steinberg and never come here again. I was a respiratory therapist years ago and would never make a patient feel as uncomfortable as this tech did today! Beware DR billing practices. They use an outside highly aggressive firm which employs line-item billing. Which mean that despite you making payments on your account, they will suddenly send you collections, even though you are making payments on the account. Medically they are OK, I guess. However, their business practices with their customers is outrageous and predatory. Go somewhere else. read more

My experience from trying to schedule an appointment through the completion of my full body bone scan was challenging. When trying to schedule the appointment the scheduler was rude. Their nuclear x-ray department did not fully disclose the danger of being around other people while being Radioactive. I will never utilize Desert Radiology in my future. West Valley Imaging as well as Steinberg Diagnostic have way Superior customer service. read more

Please wake up Desert Radiology. How many more complaints do you have to get about the 3rd party billing company you use? I, too, paid my $180 co-pay on the date of service, 3/27/2019. Nearly 2 months later on 5/20/2019 I get a bill for the $180. Making a long story short... I reported not only Desert Radiology but Physicians Billing Service to BBB Indianapolis Indiana, address for Desert Radiology, Consumer Affairs for the State of NV, State of NV Attorney General. Have dealt with this unscrupulous company before. They would next send this to collections. Really? They were paid on 3/27. After checking their website this past Friday, they are saying my balance is 0. Great, I have to spend all this time as well as money faxing and postage to report these pos. By the way, Nobody has responded to the complaint against them with any of these agencies. Take your business elsewhere! read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you have nothing else better to do. My moms appointment was at 5:30 it's now after 7. Still waiting. This is not the first time we have had to wait this long. If your insurance covers them go to west valley imaging. They are just up the street. Staff is nice. And you are in and out. read more

I needed x-rays done and they don't take appts for that (if they did 5 stars), but even during the bust lunch time rush I was in and out in about 1/2 hour. The staff was very willing to help when I needed copies of my films also. read more

I've gone here for years. The staff is really good. My problem is with billing. I had a mammo recenty and paid my co pay at the time of service. They sent me a text saying I owe for the copay. When calling in, the man on the phone said they have no record of my payment and will freeze my account until they research it. This happens quite regularly. Frustrating as heck that I have to find my records to prove it to them. Get it together billing and stop harrassing. read more

I must say the staff was excellent. However the billing department sent me to a collection agency 5 weeks after I paid my balance, which was due only because Las Vegas Neurology overbilled me, which didn't count against my deductible. I paid these guys as soon as that was straightened out, but I will never go here again and they will be reported to my Insurance company. read more

This place is HORRIBLE, not only did they charge me $109 cash price up front, which i expected, but I later got a bill from them saying my insurance had declined their request and I owed them another $220, So I called my insurance (like i always do if something seems off), and I WAS right, it was never declined!!!!!!! and I only owed $11!!!!!!! NOT to mention when I went back to my Dr for my results of all the tests I had done (which was 3 months after the ultrasound) THEY NEVER SENT MY TEST RESULTS TO MY DOCTOR!!, so my Dr calls them while I am at the Dr office, and they says "we will fax it right over" after waiting an hour, I left and my Dr said when it comes in they will just call me, of course that was the day before thanksgiving so I called early the next week THEY STILL DIDN'T FAX IT! lazy worthless people!!!! I recently tried transferring my whole family of 6 from Steinberg diagnostic to Desert Radiologists after being a loyal customer for almost 5 years. The reason for switching was that I experienced many misdiagnoses at Steinberg and I a good friend recommended Desert for their more skilled radiologists. However after only three appointments there, I had a terrible customer service experience. I made an appointment for my husband to get an ultrasound and although I did not get a reminder phone call before hand, we showed up. We had a flat tire the morning of unfortunately, so I took our second car and left 15 minutes before the 9am appointment to help sign him in to his appointment and start filling out the paperwork while he put filled up the tires in the other car. I showed up at 8:52 and started filling out his paperwork since I am the insurance holder and his wife. Then as I was handing in the paperwork at 9:02 the front desk lady realizes I am not the patient and I explain that he is almost in the parking lot and will be here in 2 minutes because we had a flat tire this morning. She began to behave very rudely and refused to take my paperwork and called up the technician to cancel the appointment and said I had to reschedule because he was 5 minutes late at which point my husband walks through the door! She said it did not matter because he was supposed to be there at 8:45 anyway and he was supposed to fill out his own paperwork and not me. I am the insurance holder and his wife! We asked to speak to a supervisor and she sarcastically said "sorry there are no supervisors on the weekends." She called up the technician who was in cahoots with her and the technician validated that it was too late because her 9:30 appointment was already there. But it was 9:05!! (I had just been there the week before for the same ultrasound and it took 15 minutes and they did not get me in the back for 10 minutes.) My husband requested to see the written policy that states appointments must be cancelled/rescheduled if patients show up 5 minutes late. Of course they could not produce the written policy and after causing a whole unnecessary scene with all 4 of us arguing in front of other patients in the lobby and wasting more time, the technician finally agreed to take him. And the lady in the front was still giving me dirty looks. Geez who turns customers away? I'm sure this will not help advance business for Desert Radiologist. Those two women spent a lot more effort trying to block business than if they had just been friendly and tried getting us in and out expeditiously! Needless to say we are not going back. Steinberg is just around the corner, have very friendly staff and have a much nicer building! read more

They have a billing/collection company that is totally disconnected from their business. They sent me a bill. I paid it. A month later their billing calls me saying I never paid their bill. There is no way to talk to anyone at the billing company, and all billing questions are referred by Desert Radiology to that billing company! I hate being harassed for bills I have already paid! This place is a joke. First appointment I sat for a half hour as they said they couldn't do my ultrasound without a referral from my doctor. They encouraged me to try calling my doctor while sitting in the waiting room in a gown to reach them for a referral, which I did, wasting a good 30 min until I gave up and left. Got ahold of the doctor later on in the day only to find out they had scanned over the referral a week ago. Second time in, I showed up for a 12:30 appointment at 12:32. Two front desk employees made it clear that I was late and as a result was pulled off the schedule. They asked me to show up at 12:15 for my paperwork, which was already complete, only to find out that they also needed to check me in, again. Two minutes, seriously? My advice- if you have kids and risk showing up 2 min after your scheduled time, save yourself the annoyance and go somewhere else. No other doctors office works like this. read more

It's so stupid X-rays are on walk in basis but no matter how many people come after if they have appointment you gotta wait !!! What difference does any procedure make X-ray versus the appointment only one ?!? it's still sucking up your time and an inconvenience of waiting to be seen after all appointments !!! How stupid .. The staff is fine here. It is the billing and keeping everything correct and up to date that needs help. I agree with another review that an on premises billing person at each location would be great instead of getting whoever is next in line for your assistance on the telephone. read more

This was by far the WORST experience I have had with any medical office in almost 7 years. First and foremost they "made a mistake" and scheduled me at their Cathedral Rock location all the way across town. Which I know for a fact that I said Horizon Ridge because it's near my house. Why would I want to go an office across town?! Then they told me that they couldn't fit me in at all. So I call the supervisor who proceeds to say its my fault and she would have to listen the call recording to prove otherwise. They couldn't help me with the appointment all she could do was apologize. She did say she could get me an appointment same day out at Nellis?!?! Are you frickin kidding me? Her tone was extremely rude, like she was sick of the situation and she never returned my phone call to say whether I was right or wrong about what had happened. I was supposed to have an ultrasound before my doctors appointment today and of course that didn't happen.
