Yes, the doctor can be brusque. Is she a good physician? In my experience, absolutely…read more I've always found it interesting that so many reviews of medical professionals focus on personality rather than competence. Personally, I care far more about whether my doctor is knowledgeable, thorough, and provides excellent medical care than whether they're warm and chatty. I've never had an issue with the office staff. The practice has always been professional and efficient. I go there for medical care, not for coffee and conversation. Would I like to see the doctor be a little more approachable? Sure. But that may simply not be her personality, and that's okay. My role isn't to judge her character--it's to decide whether I trust her with my healthcare. I do. If her communication style isn't a good fit for you, there are plenty of other physicians to choose from. It's perfectly reasonable to find a doctor whose bedside manner better matches your preferences. What I don't think is fair is to disparage a physician who provides excellent medical care simply because their personality isn't what you were hoping for.

I stumbled on these reviews and have NO IDEA where these reviews are coming from. I have been a…read morepatient of Dr. Harrison since 2016. I have Wet MD which requires two injections every 4 to 5 weeks. Over 7 years I have had time to see the best and worst of this office. On their worst day my rating would be a 4.95. So my overall rating is 5.0. Every one of her staff is pleasant, professional and attentive. And Dr. H takes her time to answer my questions. I should also say that I'm not a "yes" easy patient. I ask questions, and if I don't understand, I say I don't understand and I get answers. Her office is great and she is great These are SOOO off base, I question who these "patients" are.

I cannot recommend Dr.Williams…read more Having experienced flashes of light, I called for an appointment and was told that the first available was 2 weeks later. So far OK. But when I arrived, his nurse did all the eye exam and took down the information. I then waited 45 minutes listening to Dr. Williams tell his nurse to cancel all his afternoon appointments and chat loudly in his office with a friend about baseball. When he finally called me in, he didn't actually physically examine my eyes further himself , but just told me that my symptoms were "normal" for people my age, and if my vision got dramatically worse I should come back. It rapidly got dramatically worse and when I called to try to make a follow-up appointment, I was again told that two weeks was the soonest I could be seen. When I explained that I was shortly leaving for a business trip to Bangladesh and hoped to be seen before that, his receptionist told me in a very snotty tone of voice that if I was "in such a big hurry" I should just go find another doctor, which I did. That doctor (Dr. Ketover at Milauskas Eye clinic) was able to see me the very next day, actually examined my eyes himself, AND took an O.C.T., which revealed an adhesion that was rapidly developing into a macular hole and referred me immediately to a retina specialist (Dr. Clement Chan) who has been treating me ever since and was able to prevent a macular hole from becoming a more serious detached retina, thereby avoiding surgery. Based in my experience, and comparing that with subsequent treatment received by other opthamologists, I would not recommend Dr Williams or his front office staff in terms of promptness, courtesy, availability, or due diligence with patients.
