She informed me that she was unable to fulfill my request and that I needed to see an M.D. This was after clearly explaining what I needed to the scheduling staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since then I was bounced around, had visits cancelled, could not get office staff to return phone calls despite repeated promises that I would "Hear from them by the end of the day."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand completely that different providers may see fit to change medications, however I do not understand why it took weeks and multiple visits for a decision to be reached, or why I was kept on hold for 40 minutes (at which point I gave up since I needed to return to work). For 28 yrs, this location was an excellent practice, until Optum took over and ruined it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, you can no longer speak to office staff. They only have a call center that takes appointments, but they also "take messages" as well. Five days later you might get a response[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Due to their billing error, I've made numerous attempts to get them to re submit the claim properly. It's been almost a year, nothing has been accomplished. Switching to a new PCP because of insurance changes, my first visit with Optum Scottsdale was to insure that I do not run out of prescribed medications. One of my medications needed a refill ASAP and the Dr agreed to expedite the order. Two weeks later, I got a letter from the pharmacy telling me to have my Dr. contact them. I relayed that to Optum Scottsdale, reminding them that my prescription had now run out. Another week has gone by and I get another letter from my pharmacy asking me to have the Dr. call them. So, I've been without Diabetes medicine for a month apparently because the Dr. Office isn't talking to the pharmacy. And, there is no estimate on when my required prescription will be filled and delivered. read more

The last doctor I saw when he walked into the room, told me that he knew nothing about ADHD and only treated old people. I've remained a patient because although doctors have transitioned in and out the facility and the practice were reputable. Oh my, what a mess! Dr. Brewster had been our family Dr. for over 10 years. A family member went in today and saw a new female Dr. What a rude woman! My daughter had been seeing Dr. Brewster for over 10 years. She went in to get refills on medicine that she has been taking daily for 13 years. The woman told her that her records for my daughter only went back to the beginning of this year and she had no history of the medicine she takes. She reluctantly filled 1 prescription and told her to go to another practice for the other medicine. I read another review from a husband whose wife saw the same Dr and had the same experience. Hello, I recently became a patient after hearing wonderful things about your practice. I was needing help managing my high blood pressure, as I had been prescribed the wrong medication by my previous physician. I've also been experiencing severe nausea intermittently (sometimes it will last all day, sometimes it is only for a few hours.) I met with the nurse practitioner Beena the first week of June . She asked many questions and some I felt was too personal/sensitive. I answered her questions. I did I would need to be off work due to the condition) and Beena originally wrote "flexible hours." Unfortunately, this is not specific enough for my employer. I had informed Beena that I work four 10-hour shifts per week; with this information, a set number of days or hours needs to be entered. (For example: X number of days per month may be missed, or X number of hours per week, etc.) For some reason there doesn't appear to be an understanding of what is needed in the section and the form is missing this pertinent info. My claim examiner has faxed and emailed the form repeatedly, requesting the same information. This last edit resulted in Beena using white out to remove the word "intermittent", which is not even a step in the right direction. At this point, it's starting to feel like there is a willful misinterpretation of my FMLA form and the specific information being requested. Also an excuse for me to go to the office. Nurse Practitioner was very unethical and unprofessional. I can't discuss the other issues. read more

IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITION DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! If you are a healthy individual and have no health issues or concerns then this is the place for you. I am new to the state and I am trying to establish care with a primary care provider. Dr. Vasireddy will give you a good 5 to 10 minutes of her time and make you feel like you're wasting her time. Dr. Vasireddy doesn't take the time to listen to your heart or anything. The health issues I have are regarding my heart and carotid arteries. But she will be happy to prescribe you unnecessary medicine. Then prescribe medicine you don't feel comfortable taking, but she insist you take, and then the best part is she never sends it to the pharmacy after pressuring you to "just try it and give it time." For anyone reading this, please go else where is you have chronic medical conditions, do not waste your time or money at this place! Oh and another cherry on top is my BP baseline is 130/90 and every 4/4 visits my BP was always 100/60 which my doctors back home were the ones who told me to NOT return to this office. While the staff is nice, the wait is infuriating. I am using their free wifi in the lobby to write this review. The appointment was at 10:30. I have had this problem before, but because Dr. Hamilton is so nice, I have avoided finding another PCP. I showed up early this time (10:15) to see if it helps to be extra punctual. It is now 11:30 and I am still waiting. Not even in the second waiting area yet. I referred a few friends and they refuse to come here again because of the long waiting. I was a patient of Dr. Paul Babbey for one year. He noticed I needed my Synthroid dosage increased. I give him props for that. The problem is his condescending attitude, and his tendency to misdiagnose diseases. He told me I was crazy to ask for hormone replacement therapy. Very strange conversation with the lady that answered the phone to schedule. From the start she seemed very much not to care about my call or scheduling my wife. The call was awkward throughout however what bugged me the most was when I asked if there were any female physicians and was told no, I responded with the fact that I should wait until my wife was available to ask her. I received an abrupt "ooooh" as if "do whatever you want to do, we don't really care anyhow". Update: I initially read the response and was please with the concern however, the "addendum" citing the call essentially verbatim and suggesting that the call was fine concerned me more. As a business professional myself, I know that everyone's perception is different and if I had a potential client/patient that had concerns about our level of service I would have to reconsider my approach. I actually considered deleting my poor review prior to the "amendment" because I appreciated the thoughtful response. If they feel that the call which I experianced was sufficient for their practice then I'm happy to find another practice, it only makes me wonder what else they find acceptable. I stand firm in my original assessment as I'm not generally the type of person who is overly emotional or easily offended. I would have asked for a manager if I felt that it was necessary but, frankly, there are hundreds of great physicians out there and I shouldn't have to do that. So, on to the next one. I've been seeing Dr. Brewster for a couple of years now. He always listens and is able to provide real solutions and/or referrals. He is also very efficient and I never spend too much time waiting or in the back. The nurses are all very friendly and the office staff is welcoming. Fair warning, there is usually a bit of a wait even if you are on time for appointments, but once you are in the back everything will move quickly and efficiently. North Scottsdale Family Medicine is a good Family Medicine practice. We searched to find an all around practice with knowledgeable, caring physicians and staff. Dr Paul Babey is a good doctor. As everyone knows, a skilled doctor is required in this ever changing world of medicine and health care regulations. We relocated to Scottsdale full time and left a health care network that had been in place for 30+ years. Our doctors in MN are superb physicians that set a high health care bar for us to re-establish upon our relocation. Our MN doctor's philosophy then and now is patient centric care. That's quite unique, given the ever changing landscape of healthcare and the toll it takes on patients and providers. We firmly believe that a patient's health and well being should always be the priority. Dr Babey made the relocation to AZ and the establishment of a new medical team relatively seamless.
