We chose them for several reasons. #1) Family owned and operated. Brother runs it, and sister is the secretary. They keep it small and personable with Mike installing the garage doors and performing annual garage door tune-up's. These are the three people I have mostly dealt with, though I know there are others. #2) Great showroom. #3) Reasonable prices. I was very pleased with Joe and how kind and honest he was. The second time I had an issue, I specifically called the home warranty to make sure I was once again referred to Design Array again. I have been a customer of Design Array for 26 yrs. I have purchased 3 doors and lots of maintenance over that period. I have always been treated fairly with professional courtesy. Today all that changed. I was quoted $4 per ft.for a new liner but a jumbo liner at $7per ft was installed instead. I didn't refuse to pay the additional $47 but I did go to the store and question why the additional price. I was told they would honor the original estimate but they would never come back to my house again. I can't imagine they would lose a 26 year customer over $47.00. Jay Freeman read more

I had purchased a custom Carriage House style door from another well known Phoenix area door company one year ago and recently backed my car into it (long story) and needed to have it replaced. I repeatedly called the "four letter name" of the company that sold it to me but they never managed to get back to me. Once I moved to plan "B" and found that Design Array Garage Door Store on 99th Ave. in Peoria carried the same brand, I had my door in very short order. Not only did they order and install the new door ASAP, they also set me up with a state-of-the-art opener. The installed a new keypad, programmed it, programmed all my remotes and even my Smart Phone! I'm thrilled beyond belief and totally makes up for all the grief and frustration I experienced because of the "four letter name" of the competitor. The Salesman Scott was professional and courteous and knowledgeable. He showed enough empathy to make me feel I'd made the right choice. The installer was incredible! Helpful, on-time (even installed a day earlier than planned!!) and friendly. What a glorious contrast to "the other place"! The installer no sooner pulled away when a neighbor walking by stopped and rang my doorbell, asking about the gorgeous Carriage House door. She loved it and wanted one for her house. I gave her Scotts name and number and e-mailed my referral to him that day. Looks like a $2700 sale turned into a $5400 sale "just like that"! You really never know who you're dealing with and how things will turn out (for both parties). Best to be on your best behavior when you hold yourself out to the public. Fine job, guys. My garage door opener unit was having trouble. The logic board was going out on my Chamberlain Liftmaster unit since it was older (1997). I have Fidelity Home Warranty (highly recommended) which referred/recommended me to Design Array Garage Door Store to fix my unit. Mike came out and did an EXCELLENT job. He was able to fix my unit by changing the logic board, program my remotes, and mount my keypad remote to the garage wall which he was so courteous to do. I highly highly recommend this company. I had an appointment with this company. The technician showed up as scheduled between 2 & 4, but, unfortunately I was just finishing paying for a airline ticket on line and I had to ask him to hold on a minute. I then asked him if he had the list of repairs from the inspection report and he said that he didn't know what he was supposed to do. I stated again that the report had been given to his company. Thinking that he might be able to check on that while I was finishing up. He left ! When my realtor called them real quick to see why he left he stated that I was yelling at the technician and that I needed to hire a different company. This was absolutely not true. All I had to do was print the report out for him if he didn't have it. He just needed to give me a minute. Now He shows that he arrived at 2:27 and left at 2:43. This is also not true. He left in 5 minutes after arrival. His email is now stating that the job was completed and ready for billing. I am not quite sure what needed to be done differently, but where is any customer service in what I have just described. I would hate to have a warranty issue with this company.... read more

I can't say enough about this company and the business they run! It's hard to find good businesses these days that put their customers first! I started out calling them because my only two year old garage door opener was malfunctioning! They told me it's not the best one out there but would do what they could to fix it since it was under warranty! Of course i was skeptical because i figured they just wanted more money! I was so wrong! After they changed the mother board (per manufacture request) it worked for less than a month! To make a long story short, I had to replace to whole unit, and this company only charged me for the remainder of the balance of what I had already spent!! Well, I won't be needing their services anytime soon now, but if you are in the market-these guys get 5 stars!! And they even have a show room you can go see different brands! read more
