He listened carefully, was very honest with us about expectations and I immediately felt comfortable. This is the first remodel me and my husband have ever done so we were nervous! Frank and Alex made very quick progress with our kitchen - it's a more complicated inspection process with condominiums so inspections were the main hold-up for us. Along the way they made sure we were getting the results we wanted and were quick to make changes if we had any requests. Alex was great to work with, he is very detail oriented and does great work. He and his team always left our house and the common areas in the condo building extremely clean (cleaner than it was originally, honestly). I always felt great greeting them in the morning, knowing that the place was safe in their hands. We ended up having a weird water heater valve issue from a previous installation that had to get fixed before our final kitchen inspection and Frank came over to offer his expertise on what he thought the fix could be. I was very appreciative because I wanted to be able to talk to the plumbing company with confidence about viable solutions. Frank and his team really went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and happy with the work. Frank asked us to leave a review and I am happy to do it because I was very pleased with their work and would truly recommend them to any one who is looking to have remodel work done.

When I moved into my condo, I wanted the hardwood floors to be renewed (not refinished since they…read morewere installed 1-2 years ago). The scope of work was to buff down the current top coat and then reapply the protective top coat/gloss. The square footage was about 500-600 sqft (hallway + living/dining room area). I called Frank and he was very responsive. I made an appointment for a walkthrough and he gave me estimates for everything I wanted done (although I went with another person for painting/other jobs). He was nice and explained everything very well. So his people came to do the floors (only took about 1.5-2 hours to complete) and he stopped by at the end to check on the work. Since the topcoat was oil based, I wouldn't be able to walk on the floor for 24 hours (which was fine because the entire condo was empty anyway). The next day, I went to check on the finished floor. I was very disappointed! There were dust particles all over so the floor felt bumpy/dirty (there were some places where it was ok but some places where it was very very dusty looking). Frank called later that night to see what I thought of it and I told him that I was dissatisfied. He went to take a look and agreed that it was unacceptable. So, he scheduled his people to go to my condo again to redo the job. I showed them where the worst places were and they said they would vacuum and wipe down the areas after buffing (I guess they didn't wipe it down afterwards?). They were in and out of the condo in 1.5 hours. The next day, I went to check on the final result. Disappointed again! There was definitely less dust particles but it looked like they buffed down some parts and recoated while other parts it just looked like they recoated on top of the existing top coat. As a result, you can see the streak/brush marks from the top coat (almost like when you paint your nails ... you put on the first coat of nailpolish but you don't wait long enough when you paint the second coat, and then you get that horrible clumpy streak). Also, you can clearly see that on the edges of the floor, there is no clear coat at all! I was very frustrated at this point because I had already scheduled other work to be done, so I didn't have time for him/crew to come in again to redo the floors. Frank called again the next day and I told him that I wasn't satisfied but I didn't have the time to have him redo it again. And with that, he charged me the price we agreed upon and my floors look actually worse than they did before they did any work. 2 stars: 1 star - Great communication ... will call you after the work is done and responds to emails quickly. 1 star - He did redo the work when I was dissatisfied ... but if you're redoing the work, it better be done correctly! But that's about it ... the work is the most important and they just didn't do a good job. I would not recommend E2 Remodel and would not use them again in the future.

I had some water damage in my kitchen from a water heater malfunction that required a full…read morerenovation. Floors, cabinets, counters - the whole lot. The entire process and fighting insurance was a nightmare but it was also incredibly difficult finding a contractor I trusted. I'm a single woman, first time property owner, and work in an office - I'm ignorant about all of these things and likely a prime target for dishonest businesses. I talked to over 10 contractors and they quoted me wildly different amounts (19k-55k) and often had completely different takes on what was possible within my budget. (I had only the amount that insurance paid as I bought the condo less than a year ago). An example is - one company would say "there's no way we can do ____, so we have to do this very expensive thing instead (that I cannot afford)" and another would say "we can get extremely close if you choose to cut corners but it won't be great". All in all no one really made me feel confident in their services. Everyone felt like they were trying to sell me something or convince me of something. This is where David and Barak are different. They were incredibly kind and from moment one wanted me to explain what I wanted. They listened and at no point said "we can't do that" they said "here's how we can make this happen for you". They seemed like they were genuinely invested in my project and making sure I got what I wanted even if we had to make changes. They also thought about things and would contact me with ideas they had they thought I would like and always kept it respectful of the fact that my budget was tight and I really couldn't add on any cost. Things such as "these are other updates we can make at the same time that we highly suggest if you can buy the materials" - like a new garbage disposal and different outlets, new lighting, and light dimmers. All VERY inexpensive upgrades that were easy for them to do/add on while they were doing other renovations. I am SO thankful for these suggestions. They were small, approachable, and made a HUGE difference. Not ONE of the other contracting companies mentioned ANY of this. They also immediately gave me a detailed quote that they put in my hands, had their contract ready for me to review - again in my hands, and then sat with me to go over every single piece to ensure I understood everything prior to signing. All other companies do some mix of: telling you that they'll give you a quote in a few days (and half the time they do not, you have to follow up), provide a general quote without any details (verbally), not provide the contract up front for review. I was pretty shocked at how shady other companies felt. Why can't I have reports and contracts sent to me? All in all I can't recommend them more! Did I have to change my plan? I sure did. And every time this came up David held fast to "make sure this is what you want". Changes did not mean compromise or sacrifice. They were both dedicated to ensuring that even if my first choice didn't go through that I was just as happy with my second choice. Example: I originally wanted different cabinets but they were out of stock and the time before they'd arrive was insanely long so we went with available stock and they painted them the custom color I picked out which I like much better than the original! My before photo is poorly but it shows some of my old cabinets and what was torn out due to damage. Second photo is what they did!
