When we started, we only knew what we didn't like about our current kitchen. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

What started as a patio tile removal turned into a much bigger job than anticipated, requiring several days of jackhammering to remove the existing material. The team also removed our old turf and dug down about 7 inches to properly prepare the area for the new installation. They installed the necessary base, DG, gopher wire, and weed control, taking the time to do everything correctly. The new turf is excellent quality, and we are extremely happy with how beautiful and natural it looks. The new pavers were installed perfectly and look absolutely gorgeous! We truly appreciate the hard work, attention to detail, and professionalism of everyone at Beyond Remodeling. They replied with more questions asking if I have more other projects. I said no. It's the only project we have in mind at this time. Again, they responded with asking the same questions. It's either a dumb AI or unintelligent people!

02/13/2026 Ben…read morecontinues to say their "inspection" found no active leak and claims the water must be coming from an exterior outlet or prior waterproofing. Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

We selected Joey and the CRAFT Home Remodeling team after interviewing 4-5 different contractors for our remodeling project which included a complete reconfiguration and remodel of our master and guest bathroom, a refresh of our kitchen and fireplace, and various other pieces around the house. This was our first remodel, so we were looking for a contractor to help guide us through the process at a reasonable price. Joey was a great combination of professional, personable, and reliable that also had a good eye for design. While we did have a designer help with planning, Joey also helped us independently select our guest bath materials. We were also expecting our first child so we had a very strict deadline to adhere to. Joey and his team met our expectations and more at every step of the way and really cares about his clients. They understand this is a big undertaking for a new home owner and was very responsive to my many inquiries and questions. The results of the project speak for themselves. Joey's entire team was very professional and did a great job with each project. The tile work in our bathrooms and kitchen was installed very well, along with the fixtures, vanity and other appliances. As we we moved out during the process, Joey uploaded progress photos every few days so we could keep a close eye on how things were progressing. We were impressed at how quickly the team worked while not sacrificing quality to meet our deadline for being complete before the birth of our child. What separates Joey and the team from other contractors was his communication and willingness to accommodate changes as we saw the project come together. We also checked in a few times and noticed a few small things that needed to be fixed or changed. Joey and his team were quick to remedy anything we saw that needed a fix. Overall we highly recommend Joey and his team if you're looking for a contractor with exceptional communication skills and a caring personality with an eye for design and what makes sense and is feasible. We just finished our 7th job with Joey Dahan, the owner of Craft Home Remodeling ... which was to complete our main bathroom. The finished product is exquisite: the quality, attention to detail, the overall design ... it's exceptional. Since we started working with Joey 7 years ago, he and his team have (literally) remodeled our entire house, one project at a time; kitchen, both bathrooms, living room, dining room, main bedroom, small bedroom, two offices (my wife and I both work from home), and den. The first thing Joey does is ask what we want to accomplish, then he works with us to achieve our vision. But he's also a top-notch designer, and has envisioned and created things we never would have thought of. For instance, my office had a standard 8-foot ceiling, but when Joey was finished, it had a soaring ceiling that slants upwards to 15-feet. He literally raised the roof! We then took that idea into our main bedroom and raised that roof, too. What an amazing transformation, a real WOW. Hard to believe unless you see it! But honestly, the incredibly quality of his work aside, the best thing about working with Joey is ... you get to work with Joey! He's a total mensch (Yiddish word for "a man of integrity and honor"). I can't think of a better description, or a better person to trust with your home project. Of course Craft Home Remodeling handles all the technical details and ordering, and always achieves the highest level of quality ... that's what a remodel company should do. But -- we've never met a nicer, kinder, more caring person than Joey in any business. And he's become a good friend. So if you're thinking of any sort of remodeling project, Joey and his company are definitely worth checking out. read more

Joey and his team did a great job on a full home remodel. I serendipitously had Joey referred to me for this project. Joey helped walk me through the entire project from start to finish and explained every step of the process in detail. Not only was this my first remodel project, it was a large project that involved updating the entire home and was also more complicated in that I was out of state and so was the designer. Joey always made time to answer questions throughout the process and set up conference calls or facetime videos, and sent texts and videos of the progress. I am so pleased with the whole project, and especially the beautiful, modernized kitchen and bathrooms, as well as the front porch with an updated walkway to the façade that has been updated with new bricks, lighting, and paint. It's hard to believe that this is the same house from where it started. It was also especially nice that Joey helped out with other big projects that were needed outside of the home by helping to refer and oversee work done by a landscaper, the building of a new fence, and the installment of handrails. I don't know what I would have done without his help facilitating these projects, and he went above and beyond to offer to help with this. The updates to the outside of the house now complement all of the beautiful work that Joey and his team did to the house. Hi Yelpers ! When we decided to renovate our kitchen Chris my husband and i , we chose Craft Home Remodeling. They were the fourth contractor we interviewed. We met joey the owner - he is also the actual contractor and that was a big plus for me. his ideas were different, and he really took the time to listen to my ideas. He made us feel comfortable. ( Later we found out our daughters go to the same gymnastics class to ). We decided to go with his company and it was simply a fantastic choice! We tore down walls and installed new custom sleek cabinets, Joey's team handled every aspect of the construction flawlessly. They transformed our outdated kitchen into a modern, functional space that we now absolutely love spending time in. What stood out the most was the attention to detail during the entire process. The initial design was good, but together we landed on something even better because they actually listened and engaged. Never once felt like we were being told what to do. Timeline and contractor coordination? On point. There was a moment where a trade was running behind and we raised it -- they took the feedback well and kept things moving. There was also a moment where we pushed back on the slab count and rather than brushing us off, they looped in the right people to work it through with us. That's just good business. What really stands out though is the design thoughtfulness. They respected our very specific taste while also gently steering us toward choices we'd love long-term. And they brought ideas we never would've come up with -- like building in an air switch cutout -- little details that make everyday life in the kitchen so much nicer. Came in pretty much on time. If I had any questions I would tell Yuki and she'd get me answers. We will definitely call them again for a next remodeling project.

For example, he had suggested MSI and Reece Bath & Kitchen to help select materials, and I was able to buy products from Reece Bath & Kitchen that were priced lower than if I bought them from big box stores. I had a very specific vision with choosing the materials, updating the layout, and paying attention to the details -- and Darrell made sure everything turned out right. His crew was very professional and did an excellent job with taking care of the details in the renovation project. I was most impressed when they laid down thick cardboard on the floor to prevent any scratching during the construction. They really take care of their clients. It's also re-assuring to know that they have a 15 year warranty. After the initial install of my kitchen sink faucet, I noticed a drip leak the next day, and the crew immediately came back to address the problem. We've had no leak since then, and everything is working great.
