One thing that sets this store apart is the owner. She is genuinely so kind and goes above and beyond to help with the little things without you having to ask. She seems to be supportive of other local businesses and actively works with other community members. I was lucky enough to buy a small collection of presents for friends and she diligently handwrapped each one without me even having to ask. The items in the store will be slightly higher price but I've found the quality is often reflected in the price. It's centered in a really great location that makes for a fun day out and about. Only reason I am giving it a four star is because the hours it's opened are mostly weekend and it'd be awesome if they had some open hours on weekdays (not counting Friday). I always thought it was super high end and expensive for some reason. We decided to just browse one Saturday morning and we ended up having a great experience! There is metered street parking in the front of the store, but there's also a large free parking lot behind the building. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we had been in before. When we said no, the friendly employee gave us the lay of the land and told us there are three floors to the store and that it's much bigger than it seems from the outside. Totally true! I always thought this store was small, but it's really huge. We started browsing through all the setups and were immediately impressed by the styling of each area and all the different items. They have all kinds of furniture, decorations, and rugs. Prices were clearly marked which I appreciated since it shows they're not trying to hide anything. I was pleasantly surprised that I found quite a few things that would fit into our budget, along with higher-end, more expensive pieces. They also have a clearance section which we looked through. The pieces I saw mostly swayed more modern and a little less traditional, which is more my style anyway. Upstairs we found a coffee table that was a major upgrade from our current table, but still in our budget and actually quite affordable. It has a metal base and a glass/ceramic top that looks and feels like marble. Super sleek and sophisticated! Christine was upstairs and asked if we needed any help. We asked her about the process for purchasing as we wouldn't be able to fit the table into our car. She told us that we could pay for it and come back with a larger vehicle, or we could pay $60 for local delivery. SOLD! I am all about that convenience and for $60 they can pack and carry the pretty heavy table. We paid for our purchase and Christine was super awesome with the whole process. I am so glad we finally stopped in to Stonesthrow and I can't wait to go back! She did say that they also do special orders if you know something you want and they are able to get it in store. Highly recommend looking here instead of Wayfair etc. for a local option. They also provide interior design services!

I have no problem giving a 5 star review for this carpet installation but this could have easily…read morebeen a 2-3 star review if not for Sharee and the people at Floor Coverings International (FCI). The initial home consultation with Paul was great. He had tons of samples and showed us many options and gave recommendations based on our needs. There was never any pressure to buy and he spent quite a bit of time going over the whole process and answering all our questions and concerns. We decided a few days later to go with FCI based on our meeting and the fact that their prices were competitive with the other quotes we received. Then things turned South. We were told it would take about 2-4 weeks to get the carpet from the factory. After a month, they contacted us and said that the factory was still back ordered and it would be another month. They were very apologetic and ended up removing the cost of moving the furniture from our bill. The carpet order finally arrived and we were set up for an install on November 3rd. The installers came out and had most of the old carpet ripped out and the new carpet pad laid and started to bring in the new carpet. They started to unroll the carpet and lo-and-behold - not the carpet I ordered! I took pictures and called Erick and explained the situation. He was very sympathetic to our situation and even offered a good discount on this carpet if that was an option for us. It was a nice carpet but we were set on getting the carpet we ordered so declined the offer. We had to live for a month on our 1st floor with only carpet pads for flooring. Not fun! They reordered the carpet and installed it on December 5th. The installation went without a hitch and the carpet looks great. Here's the best part. Sharee negotiated with Shaw Carpets and got them to pay for half of the cost of the carpet. Even though this whole situation had nothing to do with the people at FCI, they offered to cover the cost of the other half. How great is that? Would I recommend this company to my friends and family? You bet! If I need more carpet or flooring in the future you can be sure that they'll be the first ones I call. Thanks Sharee and Erick! It was great doing business with you.

(We had to hire another company to redo that part.) - Make sure to get everything in writing before the project starts. Otherwise, you may encounter unexpected price increases partway through the job.

We were connected with another charming and helpful designer, Jeri Lynn. She spent at least 30 minutes with us, patiently giving us the info we needed. My sense is that DeGraff understands that caring builds loyalty. I wish we could do business with them, but our builder buys direct from Shaw and Daltile. DeGraff and their staff are a class act.

Based on my experience with SoMi Refinishing LLC, I would not recommend doing business with them. I…read morecontacted the business in November 2021 to refinish our kitchen counters and kitchen sink. I was told having the sink refinished would make it so it wouldn't stain or get scuffed from pots & pans anymore. Work was completed January 2022. The sink was sprayed Monday and the countertops were done T-Th. We did not use our sink until Thursday evening of that week, so the material had over 72 hours to dry and cure; I was told I could begin using the sink as I always had. Upon completion of the countertops my husband noticed some areas where the counter was cracked/smeared/peeling. We notified SoMi and were told they'd come out to fix the countertops, it is now mid February and they still haven't returned to fix the issue and keep rescheduling our appointment. During this time, 10 days after the sink was sprayed, my husband noticed it was peeling around the drain and was staining. Since then the entire sink, even parts that are never touched by water, is peeling horribly and is discolored. We have sent pictures and videos of the sink and countertops to SoMi and still haven't had anyone out to fix them or any of our money refunded. All that has been in the sink is water and hand soap...no cleaners, dish soap, or abrasive materials, plus, I was told we could use the sink as normal anyways. I was blamed for the sink peeling because of hard water issues and/or doing dishes in it; I have a dishwasher and we have city water. I definitely wasn't expecting this poor workmanship or customer service from SoMi Refinishing based on the pictures and reviews on their Facebook page. So I am here to say avoid the company at all costs unless you want your fixtures to look worse than they originally did, be blamed for the problem, and be out money while their equipment still lays in your backyard because the technician left it there. Do your research and hire a reputable company.

Shelly's Kitchen and Design. From start to finish, Shelly and her staff were committed to making this project, which also included new countertops for both areas, a complete success, and it was! Everyone who I met or spoke with; Hannah, Holly, Liza, Carrie or Jason, took the time to explain their individual role in this process, including Shelly. Her experience and guidance were invaluable, her patience greatly appreciated and her straightforward approach to decision making was - in a word - refreshing. Visiting the shop a couple of times to choose colors and hardware allowed me to see the operation in person. I saw the same types of cabinetry go in the RUSS booth and come out perfectly painted. My husband and I visited their shop to see what the finished product would look like before deciding and we actually really love the grain of the wood still visible through the paint. It gives our kitchen so much character! Everyone who came to our home was professional and polite. We had a small issue with a hardware hole being in the wrong place and they took the door back to the shop, corrected the issue and brought it back within a week. From beginning to end, the process was about two and a half weeks, and that includes the door they had to make a return trip for. Everything was clearly communicated. In and out in a day, that was in 2017. This week we redid the same shower and tub. Our shower head had a hand held feature and someone dropped it on the tub and chipped the glaze and we had just put new flooring in that lowered the floor level with the hallway so the front of the tub needed to be redone at the bottom. The bottom of our tub had very fine cracks too (which happens to fiberglass) so it had to be redone-floored. Gordy came in and gave us a price and did the work within 2 weeks. Chris was the actual glazer and he was friendly , respectable and did excellent work. Very satisfied, highly recommend!
