Do you need alterations? The answer is always yes. Your clothes will fit better, you will look better and feel like a million dollars if you get your clothes altered. This is the only place I take my alterations. The owners can do it all from hemming pants to taking in (or letting out) fancy dresses. I was charged $19 for 3 repairs on a single garment that was done in a couple days during busy prom season. If your are reading this I would consider raising your prices, if not double. Not really sure how this place has FIVE starts, because I came in to get a simple panel put into the back of my dress. It has a square cut out (using the very long trains fabric). And she said she can't do something so complicated. Barley looked at the dress even. Really disappointed, because this is the only place that has any good reviews. My bridesmaid dress came in the mail late to island, and I was so panicked no one would be able to hem my dress in time. I highly recommend this shop for alterations. We had purchased a gown for my daughter from abroad which had 4 layers. I had about a week and a half to have the dress hemmed in time for the Prom. I searched online, but didn't know which shop to choose from. I read some of the reviews which were all positive, so I immediately came down. Based on the type and style of dress Lucy gave me a heads up on the estimate. The estimate was a bit high, however, for the style and type of the dress I was happy that she was willing to do it for us within the time frame. The process to cut and measure the hem took about half an hour, but I was pleased that she took care in this process, even though she was constantly interrupted by customers coming in for last minute hemming. What surprised me, was she was able to complete the job within a week, even with her busy schedule. When my daughter came to try on the gown, we were very pleased with the excellent work she did. By the way, when we came in to pick up the gown, it was her birthday, but instead of leaving early, she stayed past closing time for some last minute customers. Such dedication.
