If you're like me and live in Kaneohe you probably do most of your grocery shopping at K bay! I love the KBAY commissary and the convenience of it to where I live here in KANEOHE. So, I thought to myself why not drop off my OCP uniforms since I was going to be on leave and wanted to relax. HUGE MISTAKE!! I'm use to it taking about 3 days turn around! But 5 for regular price?! Where the hell are you sending my clothes? Another island? The mainland? And why you charging so much?! Oh and did I mention I still don't have my clothes? I got a call Friday afternoon and was told they won't be ready until Monday ( 02/22) after 4 PM! I was thinking to myself what in the 2020 is going on!! I'm still debating whether or not I'm going to go on post today and get my laundry. Since allegedly it will be ready today. Perhaps I should call first and make sure they have my stuff before I make the trek to KBAY. I just want to say I have really high hopes for this place. I am a soldier I work on Shafter flats and while the dry cleaning place on Shafter Flats is awesome it has limited service for the time being. However if I drop something off on Monday probably most likely usually get it back that Friday.

I've also taken my own civilian clothes with anything from food stains to ink on them, and they have come back pretty much perfect. Prices are better than some of those out in Kailua, and the service is efficient and effective. Onsite parking is plentiful between the offsite exchange store and the Wiki-Wiki mart. Only downside here is their hours of operation. Some days they don't open till 1000 or later, which really bites into my time. Other than that, I'll probably continue to use this cleaner for its convenience and timeliness.

Our hotel did not have laundry facilities so we sent our laundry off to Tama and it all came back clean, fresh, and neatly folded. I really appreciated how the underwear and socks were bagged separately. You can pick what detergent you want and they can accommodate for allergies. The turnaround time is defaulted to 48 hours, but I called and Brian was so friendly in changing our order to rush service along with explaining how pickup and drop off works. Got all our clothes back in 24 hours. We left our bag with the bell desk and did not have to wait around for the pick up/drop off. The online interface was extremely easy to use. Of course you are paying a premium above using a laundromat, but it is worth it while on vacation and for hassle-free service.

But the real kicker is they tagged one of the formal dresses and told me that some of the stains on there would probably not be removed (it was either an oil or sauce stain), I signed off on that disclaimer. When I received the dress back it looked as if they just ironed the dress along with all the stains. It didn't look like they even tried. At this point I succumbed to thinking the dress is already ruined and tried to remedy the stain issues myself. lo and behold, I was able to remove all the stains myself with the aid of Dawn dishwashing liquid and a good hand wash! After a dry and quick iron I realized I could have saved myself a lot of money and frustration. Also noting that their alteration prices are extortionately high! I inquired about the cost of hemming some pants and told the price and quickly negated the thought of bringing it here. Seems that if you are desperate and need something quickly, this is the place to go. Just know there are cheaper options elsewhere.

With a 5 star Yelp review, I had high hopes to find long term help. Over the last two months, Andrea cleaned our house 3 times. Every cleaning service had a scheduling challenge- either she was late or didn't have the right day initially. Despite telling me she would be the only person in my house, she brought her daughter with 5 minutes notice on the last cleaning. She was on the phone a lot while she was here so the cleaning would take longer, but at the same time she was usually in and out in a few hours so the cost per hour was more than $60 including phone time. I didn't say anything about these issues to her despite being frustrated because it is important to me to have positive relationships. I always tried to get the house ready so it would be "easy" to clean. I feel bad having someone clean for me so rather than insist she do everything on her list I would let stuff go. Andrea does not have solid eco cleaning methods. If you have mold or mildew in your shower, she only has bleach to address it. She does not scrub surfaces- only wipes them, unless you specifically ask (so toothpaste may still be on your bathroom counter). When I pointed out there was orange mildew still in my shower at the last cleaning, she was nice enough to clean my shower again with a little more elbow grease and has since declined to continue providing us service. She went about declining by ignoring my texts for two days and then finally saying she couldn't meet our standards when I texted a third time. Doesn't really make sense to say you aren't meeting our standards if I'm asking you back... Pretty disappointing experience since she was nothing but reassuring in person that it was totally appropriate for me to ask for it to be cleaned properly since I'm paying for a service. All in all, nice person, not a great service.
