I remember asking around so many different places if they can shorten the length of yoga/stretchy material pants and so many said no, and other places said they have to see the pants in person first. Some places don't even answer the phone no matter how many times you call! BUT Kailua Tailor & Alternation goes above and beyond. Anytime I call, they answer immediately. I asked if they can do the yoga pants and they said yes. I asked where they had been because I hadn't seen them last year, but they are new and opened up about a year ago. This store is exactly what we needed in Kailua. Although a bit pricy ($26 for 1 pair of pants), they have excellent customer service AND they get it done FAST. Usually at other places I think it can take a week. But this store they said it would be like 3 days. They gave me a day and said it would be ready for sure on that day. And it was! They are also very nice. I am very glad to see they are also busy. Clothings ready to be picked up on the rack. And they are still fast! Anyway, I love my 2 yoga pants now because without them I probably would've had to return them, and I didn't want to! They are the perfect length now. Thank you SO much guys!! Linh's Alterations was highly recommended, so let's give it a try! I knew where this place was as it has been at the same location along Ke'eaumoku St, between Kinau and Beretania and next to Mai Lan Vietnamese restaurant for decades! There's dedicated parking stalls on the side of the building, in the same lot as the Texaco gas station. Look for the Keeaumoku Pawn / Linh's Alteration sign. It's the same place! But it's definitely more so an alteration place than pawn shop. My wife has been here several times for repairs and alterations. This time I needed repairs! One of my newer Aloha Shirts had a seam splitting after just two washes, and it was all sold out at stores and online, so I wasn't able to exchange! The inside was clean and spacious. Linh was very friendly, nice, and an excellent listener. She definitely has very sharp eyes. Also, she is quite efficient! My shirt was finished in just a couple of days. Shirt was clean, neatly folded, and stitched very nicely. It was $15 plus tax, which was definitely reasonable. It wasn't a big area and it might've been a "simple" fix. Overall, I was happy with my shirt and the whole process, and will definitely bring any clothes that need repairs or alterations to Linh's! It's not a surprise she is contracted and trusted by several high to mid luxury brands. Location is convenient and parking is free and available.

The hems are clean, consistent, and exactly how I want them every time. Helpful tip: if you already know your inseam (and it's accurate), checkout goes much faster. Turnaround is quick too. My alterations are usually ready within a couple of days. I've been in when they're busy with things like prom dress alterations, so they clearly handle a wide range of alterations. Parking can be tricky, but I've been lucky so far, knock on wood. Will definitely keep coming back.

On the other dress, they didn't even bother to cut off the extra thread so there were strings hanging everywhere.
