Not great. I had a few good dip manicures here two years ago and decided to try it again when I moved back to Longmont. My first time back the pedicure was not good. The woman doing it told me she just started and didn't really know what she was doing. A different tech had to come redo/fix it after the first tech had spent 30 minutes trying to do a basic pedicure. The second time I went back I asked for a regular pedicure and no-chip manicure with chrome. The pedicure was fine (nothing special and I have gotten more exfoliation and massage elsewhere). The nail tech this time seemed to know what she was doing but when I asked for chrome nails she had never done them before. There was a $15 up charge to get chrome and a different tech had to walk her through the process. Now it is 3 days later and my no-chip mani is peeling. A bummer since we are on our way to vacation today and the whole point of paying so much for a no-chip mani was to hopefully have good-looking nails on the trip. I don't think I'll be going back, it was pretty pricey for just a mediocre mani/pedi. read more

They do a decent job here. My issue is if you get sat with the gentleman who is basically the manager/ admin/ coordinator/ etc., he will be pulled every which way (answering phones, greeting people, answering everyone's questions) that your service will take twice as long. His priority is not doing your request, it's making sure he gets as many people in the door as he can- that's what it feels like. One time I needed two nails replaced and it took an hour! He could tell I was annoyed (sorry) and asked "are you in a rush or something?" I said "no, I just never expected two nails to take as long as a full set and you seem very distracted " I felt horrible and I gave a full tip of course but it was so frustrating!! He is great at running the place, they shouldn't make him try to run a super busy salon and also make him do nails because he is just too busy. I was sat with him two out of four times I went here and it was so annoying I'll never go back. sorry... they're always very busy so maybe I'm just in the minority. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. This place is always crazy busy when I go in and I can see why. Last time I went in. I got an amazing rebase by Sean and Katie had done the original set. While I was getting my nails done I saw so many other amazing full sets being done. Long almonds, stilettos, ombre, it all looked SO GOOD. This place has the biggest selection of polish colors I have ever seen. This is also one of the only places that will give my daughter a full on manicure without pushing back. Everywhere else I have gone they try to get away with just polish which doesn't work for little miss as she has CRAZY cuticles. I have been going to designer nails for 23 years. Tina is my technician and the last time I went in they used old product on me and I asked her to fix it. Apparently since I complained and she had to fix it she no longer wants Me as a client. You know everybody has bad days and maybe she did that day but to refuse service to somebody who's helped keep you in business for 23 years Won't accept a batched nail job at the prices we pay. I called to make an appointment and Kyle said he would call me back who is the owner and never did and then blocked my number. Never heard a word from them until I made an appointment and then they block me how very unprofessional. There are a million nail salons in Longmont I suggest going to any of them besides designer. The egos there of criticism apparently is beyond the customers that they want. I have a lot of friends I have recommended to Tina through the years I suggest you all find a new nail Tech and a new nail salon. I know the friends that I have recommended wouldn't like to be treated that way. It must be nice to have so much confidence in yourself that you think you're above satisfying customers. I did and they stayed on for over three weeks (which sounds like a good thing) but once they started to come off i realized my natural nails were infected underneath because the acrylics were SO stuck that when they popped off they unattached my natural nail from the nail bed. I've been to a few nail salons around town, and this is my favorite so far. It's nice inside, but slightly crowded. I wouldn't bring kids here that aren't getting their nails done. I've seen men and women receive pampering here. Amy is my absolute favorite. She makes the acrylic nails thin at the cuticle area, so when they grow out, there isn't a huge bump. She always gets them straight and they look perfect. Everyone I've met here is very nice and I can usually always get in the same day, although they're always busy! I desperately needed my nails done and dragged a friend of mine along with me. This was the first place I called and even though they were closing, they agreed to let us come in for manicures. It was so busy when we got there! I checked out all the nails and nail art of the other customers enviously while we waited. The owner/manager was hilarious and kept joking with all the customers. I have to say I've gone here for a few years now for my nails and am finally writing my review. Its an average nail salon, but it's the best in the town of longmont. They always get me in quick, fast, and still a fairly good job. They have a decently clean facility. The only thing I wish for is to replace their Sanders after each use (the electronic ones for acrylic) other than that, the place is always clean!! I highly recommended Yen to do your nails. She just did mine and they're the perfect thickness and she did everything I could've asked for and no cuts or cuticle samNot only that, designer has an insane amount of polish to choose from. He is such an amazing hard worker who truly cares about his business. If you can't handle him multitasking (he's amazing at it) try running your own business and check back to tell him how easy it is. He was so open with us and even got to teach us some of his culture which was honestly so cool to hear. As people constantly walked in the door, he had already memorized everything they were going to have done and got them situated with a technician immediately. It's okay if you're shy or not used to a business this fast paced but don't talk bad about a man because he is doing EVERYTHING to keep his business running smooth. He truly cares about quality and I was actually even happier with the work he did because even though it took time, I could see he really really cared about detail! Wow, this nail salon is not only better than I expected, apparently it's one of the best ever. I called ahead around 4pm to come in at 6pm, they answered promptly, took my name and number and asked me to come at 6:15. They close at 7 and I thought no way can they be that busy! But I walked in to a busy, brightly lit, fully staffed salon with large-screen tvs and catchy pop music playing! This is clearly the place to go. I was helped immediately and was impressed by their super nice massage chairs, quality equipment, and covid practices (temp checks, masks, wash your hands upon entry, nail techs wear gloves, disposable plastic bags in the pedicure tubs). My nail tech was efficient, gentle, professional, and fast. Great massages from my nail tech she is clearly very experienced, and again, great massage chairs, large-screen tvs, good music and sanitary practices made for a really pleasant experience. Best of all she never abandoned me, simply out my flip flops on and painted my toes in there and I was in an out in 30 minutes for 25$. They are super professional and efficient. I had previously Went to a different nail salon and got a dip with acrylic nail and wasn't in love with my nails to begin with and over time I just hired them so I came here where Ann soaked off my nails and did a nice gel manicure. I made an appointment today for 2 pedicures (same day), and we were luckily able to be booked in. It was a great experience for me and my mother and we loved our two girls that did our pedicures. Super kind and welcoming to the area as we are new residents. The prices are 2 thumbs up! They were definitely "busy" so I would recommend NOT calling on the same day as your desired mani/pedi as they need to confirm there will be a staff member available for you and your needs (basically, don't do as I did). We did see that they do try their best to accommodate walk-ins, but they were full on clients and had difficulty being able to say "yes." Just be mindful that they are a business!
