She wanted a private affair for the 60+ friends & family we invited months ago! George offered his recommendations for round tables vs. rectangular, port o potty for the men and use the single bathroom for the women inside and heaters if it was going to be a cold day! January usually is! He helped me decide on extra chafing dishes, 2 extra rectangular tables and 2 extra black linens. I ended up adding more white chairs and green astroturf to hide the cracks in the driveway. We had 3 of our own pop-up tents and tables and together, it was a HUGE success! Everyone complimented me about the set up! only during the cake & tribute video did people go in the house. We expected people to go in the house and backyard which was set up for table games and corn hole but only the young people did that! The canopy had lights that turned on in the evening and by then, most people left as it was an afternoon party! Close family stayed and we loved hanging out there at night and watched the tribute video again projected on the white wall of the canopy! Highly recommend George & South Bay Party Rentals! His prices are very reasonable too. He splits the total in half and you pay the other half when he delivers. For our event, he delivered 2 days before which greatly helped in preparation! Payment method is Venmo or Zelle only. He is legit though.

I had made my initial deposits and reserved the pictured canopy, tables, chairs and table linens. It accommodated quite a few people (50+ guests). The canopy was set up in our backyard. Initially, we had planned to have the tent grounded to the grass but with the rain, last minute pivoted to the side of the house. One star has been removed, mainly because the communication closer to event was a little unclear. Specifically, because the event took place on the 3rd (right after new years), it was unclear when the set-up would take place. I did end up texting and reaching out and the correspondence came later in the day by Jorge. In addition, the rain delayed the set-up time and we did have to make up the last minute pivot. I found out later that due to the rain, his co-worker left early sick and he came alone to set up the canopy the night before. He did a great job securing the canopy and appreciated his service. Like mentioned above, it all worked out at the end and would definitely use South Bay Party Rentals/ Jorge again for future events.

    Bad customer service. Quick to respond to emails, quick to close shop at 6pm and not respond to a…read moreconversation of emails leading up to 6pm. They didn't even arrive to their facility before 11am, they arrived exactly at 11am. That is an indicator that they only think about what's convenient for them, not what's best for the customer. I was told I could come and pick up table linens, which means they have table linens in shop. I was not told they need to place an order for table linens. They should highlight, underline, star, etc. that important detail and disclose that in their event quotes. When I went in to speak with them at 11am, the young lady was rude and said to leave. She was not accommodating at all. She said "so you blame me for your last minute order." I told her they were closed Tuesday, she should've disclosed payment in full was needed to place an order for linens. Two of my family members attempted to Zelle them payment. We called and emailed her saying they will Zelle payment and that it wasn't working. Again, for her not to respond to our calls or emails after 6pm, knowing that we attempted to Zelle them, knowing we needed linens for a graduation party, is an indicator that they're only looking out for what's convenient for them, not the customer. 1/2 star rating.

The breakdown was also quick and professional, done before the required wrap time. Planning was a bit difficult, but we aren't event planners and were doing our best to do things ourselves on a budget, which we discovered is not cheap! They are reasonable for LA, but any rental house feels like it takes a big chunk of your budget! We ended up buying our own table cloths and napkins because the rental price seems so steep to us, but everything else went off without a hitch!

When I left I was so relieved and felt a weight off of my shoulders, wedding planning is a lot. I received a quote a few days later and couldn't believe the price for delivery. The delivery was $300+ more than what my rentals were, and they do not help set anything up. I was told they would put the tables and chairs where they need to go but everything else, glasses and flatware would be in their crates and need to be set up by someone else. Same for pick up. You'd think for $1700 they would do that for you. There's always a catch, just a heads up. My delivery window for my venue was 1-3PM and pick up 10-11PM.

No need to even pick up the phone. You pick out what you want, then Krista sends you a quote. Sometimes there's even a promo! If you're not sure what you're ordering is enough, Krista was able to help w some details and used her experience to help guide what I needed for my event. I hosted a baby shower at my backyard and didn't want to go with the traditional white tables and folding chairs. The packages they put together also made it super easy to imagine the set up and theme. Many of the pieces offered matched so endless combinations could occur. I had about 35 people over and the arrangement I rented was perfect. The gentlemen who delivered and picked up the furniture were also very helpful and nice. They were right on time both times. They helped arrange the furniture and asked multiple times if I wanted anything re arranged . Overall the experience was so easy and they are very! The furniture was well kept and very clean. Definitely recommend for your next party or event! I'm just bummed I forgot to take pics but the furniture made my yard look like it was straight out of a magazine!
