In the last few months I have used Designers Marble for two jobs, one in my own residence to install new cultered marble walls in a basement shower as part of a remodel/restoration and a second (based on my positive experience as my house) at a rental house to totally remove an old bathtub, walls and plumbing and replace with a new walk-in shower, cultlured marble walls and fixtures. They have been great! It is so great to work with a company that is so responsive, communicative, professional and accomodating. Two months before I intended to have my shower remodeled I found Designers Marble. I liked their product very much and reached out to them. They came over to my home, and I went to their office ... everything went as expected, professional, and the quote they gave me was fair. They were made aware that my intention was for work to start on Sep 2017, and I already set money aside for this project. We were discussing last few details when communication went 'cold', a month before when I wanted work to begin. They stopped replying to email and did not return my call. I was not sure what was going on, but regardless if they are being unprofessional, or having some organizational issues, from the perspective of a customer - it does not look good. Usually you fear this kind of behavior after work started or ended with issues, so it will be foolish to pursue. read more

We contacted Designers Marble after searching in vain for a contractor to redo our second bathroom. We had purchased Trustone through them several years before and have been pleased since. Peter, the owner showed up on time for our meeting, discussed our options and invited us for a consult on Saturday morning. We then visited their showroom and confirmed the deal on the spot. We couldn't be happier with the work Designers Marble did in our bathrooms. We had the shower walls replaced in an upstairs bath but kept the shower pan and door. Don did an excellent job of installing the new material without doing any damage to the door and the pan. Peter came out a second time before installation to measure for the decorative trim so everything fit perfectly. The results are beautiful. Steve installed a new fan and light which operates on a timer. We love it. Downstairs, Don replaced the entire shower and, as with our upstairs shower, his workmanship was excellent. Again he was very careful not to damage anything during the process of ripping out and installing. We really like the pan; it's made of the same marble material and has a non-slip surface which is much nicer than an acrylic pan. We were also pleased that the work was done on schedule and there were no surprises. Both Don and Steve are true craftsmen and very professional. I recently had my small bathroom remodeled by Designers Marble and had a very positive experience. The finished product makes my bathroon look like it was very expensive. They were able to do the work in 8 days and had minimal issues with bones of my old bathroom. Both of the workman were very professional and and very detail oriented. I found their work very good and they cleaned up their messes all day and very well at night before they left. They didn't watch the clock and leave before finishing what they were working on because it was time to leave. I found the experience from the beginning estimates, to the office communication and throughout to be very positive. I would recommend them for a bathroom remodel. read more

We had several frustrating problems with Designer Marbles shower installation. They installed a shower door that leaks water every time we use the shower. The water leaks through the crack in the sliding glass. The shower pan also has a loud popping sound caused when hot water causes te floor to expand and contract. Despite our complaints, Designer Marble refused to correct the problems to our satisfaction. They also show up late to appointments and don't bother to call to let you know. read more

We had our master bathroom remodeled by Designers Marble. They did a wonderful job from start to finish. From the first appointment to the final walk through we were kept informed. While the work was being done our home was treated with great care. The gentleman doing the work were on time and when they left for the day the area was cleaned up. My experience with this company started out great and but deteriorated as the work began. The "front office" experience was very professional in terms of estimate, scheduling, material selection etc. We did a partial bathroom remodel and the trouble began when the work started. The first day, the guy doing the demolition broke one of the sinks we were planning to reuse after they installed the countertop. The owner told me I would need to buy new sinks so I bit my tongue and thought that would be the last of the problems. Without going into great detail, there were several incidents like that. For the most part, the owner was reasonable about fixing mistakes which really shouldn't have happened in the first place. The thing that put me over the edge was when the glass door they installed started to rub against the adjacent glass panel. As I looked closer, I realized the cultured marble panel had been cracked when the door was installed. The owner reluctantly agreed to replace the panel. The installer pulled the panel off, along with a good portion of the drywall behind it. There was one area with a 9" hole in the drywall! The owner told me it wouldn't be a problem and that "the glue would fill it in". I was furious but at this point just wanted them out of my house. They glued the panel over the damaged drywall, installed the glass door and left. At this point all I can do is hope that the panel is glued to enough drywall to stay structurally sound. My guess is that this company is feeling the pinch of the economy and is cutting corners on the quality of their labor. The problem is that their prices are on the high end and the quality does not match their price tag. I paid over $14,000 for a partial remodel of a medium size bathroom. It consisted of the installation of cultured marble panels in a shower, around the tub and on the vanity top. They also removed the old material and installed the plumbing fixtures. I would expect a higher standard of quality and recommend looking elsewhere for these kind of services. read more

We had a major remodel of 2 bathrooms and a laundry room/toilet room. We were extremely pleased with the outcome of the project. Steve and Don have worked for Peter, the owner, for a number of years, and their professionalism and workmanship were evident from day one.They cleaned up at the end of each day and were able to troubleshoot and problem-solve glitches (dry rot, uneven flooring, etc) in an efficient and affordable manner. Even with problems with suppliers (granite installers not showing up as scheduled, door and mirror fixtures not meeting acceptable standards), Designer's Marble was able to meet these challenges and get our remodeling completed in a timely manner. Bottom line: our experience with Designer's Marble was excellent and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others. read more

Our experience was quite the opposite from that of Scott P. We just finished having a "resurfacing" done with their product (cultured marble) and it turned out very nicely. The principle workman on the job was very careful and paid attention to every detail. We had a shower ripped out and slightly expanded, a tub deck and surround and a vanity top changed. We reused the old sinks and sink hardware and when the sinks were reinstalled the faucet "cartridges" and shut off valves and tubes were replaced at no cost to us. Shower glass was done beautifully. OK, we've only taken a half dozen showers since the job's completion but everything works as expected (or better). By the way, total cost (incl. tax) was about $11000. read more

We had a great experience with Designers Marble. They were prompt and right on schedule. We had a shower stall with doors, built-in air tub, vanity top, and 2 sinks installed. We are very happy with how it looks. The installers were efficient, clean and hard working. They made sure our carpets, hardwoods, and our bedroom furniture were protected which I was worried about. We used Designers Marble for countertops, sinks, and showers in the bathrooms in our previous home. I found the surfaces to be beautiful and so easy to keep clean. When I decided to update my current bathroom, of course I wanted to include them in my bidding process. Their estimate was much less than another shop I investigated. Of course, this is because their product is a "cultured" marble or granite, not the real stones. I was super impressed by them all around, from the owner who personally came to my house to discuss my ideas, to the ladies in the shop who helped me match something to my existing countertop, to the guys who did the actual work. My job required tearing out the existing shower and floor then replacing them. I wanted a heated tile floor and an open-concept shower with a mosaic tile accent. The owner listened carefully to my ideas and designed it perfectly. The workers were not only excellent craftsmen, but they were conscientious about protecting my carpets and hardwood floors and excellent about cleaning up after themselves.
