Here's why: The person I spoke to via Facebook helped me to arrange the delivery, choose the right sweets and made payment a total breeze! It was confirmed that the sweets were amazingly good and super delicious. Thank you MMB for baking the most yummy dark chocolate cupcakes and oreo/peanut butter cup stuffed chocolate chip cookies! The worker who waited on me was so kind and helpful, and apologized for answering the phone while I was in there (there was no need, because you're running a business, I get it), but she was so polite! They always have a fun assortment of flavors of cupcakes but it's rather hit or miss what quality you will get. They have fun combinations and flavors and are always beautiful, but sometimes they are quite dense, sometimes super moist, and sometimes dry and will nearly choke you. My default cupcake is always the yellow cake with chocolate icing. I feel like it's hard to mess up. However, I tried a cookie this most recent time and didn't love it. It was really thick and hard to eat. The flavor wasn't great, either. This is definitely somewhere to stop in and try- just to say you did it. They were on Cupcake Wars, after all.

The same with the vanilla cupcakes...cake itself was dense but did have vanilla flavor and you can tell she uses real vanilla. Frosting was exceptional as well. I haven't tried the chocolate one yet, but my wife says it was the best one of the group so far. Regarding the cookies, I'll say that brown butter ones are ok, but not my preference as I prefer a bit of a more buttery flavor? Idk if I'm making sense here, but I prefer something different as far as a more not as sweet cookie and sweet choc chips. There's have great texture and the choc chips are great too. The flavor is too sweet for me though. Again, not my preferred type of choc chip, but it doesn't take away from how it was baked and the texture. I think the only knock would be the honey bun flavor tasting like a cinnamon roll? It was still decent though and got ate regardless. The shop was inspired by his love for baking and encouragement from friends -- and some of those same friends actually work in the bakery today, which made the environment feel really welcoming. We also loved seeing how he collaborates with other local creatives. From merch designed by a local tattoo artist to candles and soaps made through local partnerships, you can really feel the community support inside the shop. Now for the desserts.
