Love, love, love Fig and Olive! This was my first time visiting at the suggestion of one of my friends. I was even happier to see one of my favorite baristas there who was at another coffee shop I frequented. The pasty selection is amazing. There was such a large variety of sweets that it was hard choosing just one. My friend and I split one-they're huge and I enjoyed a seasonal hot latte. It was the perfect balance of coffee and sweet without being overwhelming. The space is very open and vivid and would be perfect for working if you're looking for a nice space to do so. The service was great! There's plenty of space, so it never feels cramped, and the atmosphere isn't loud, which makes it really easy to carry on a conversation. As I explore the circuit of local cafes, I finally made it here on a Saturday evening. I'm usually looking for cafes based on how study friendly they are, but in that category they aren't the greatest. On the other hand, where they excel is in their social environment. If you're looking for a place to gather for a slightly slower paced Saturday (meaning not out on the club and bar circuit) you could start here with dinner next door. After dinner, just slide your party over this way for tea or coffee and desserts. It was boisterous while I was here, but not so much that it interrupted my focus. The people watching was peak, and most of the conversation I heard seemed to be in some variety of Arabic. I only struggled for a functional power outlet as they seemed available at only two tables. So if you're looking to use a laptop, you might try elsewhere. But my biggest win is that you can get a matcha latte that isn't pre-sweetened. Since I'm partial to that grassy goodness, you'll likely find me here again for an analog visit. read more

I had been here when they first open and had not been impressed but I'm so glad I gave it another try! I got the cheese danish and a regular drip coffee. Both were so delicious!! I will definitely be back. I like that there's plenty of space and comfy chairs. I would definitely come back here with my laptop or a book or with friends. I was interested in desserts here. The menu board on the wall does not include any of the desserts. I asked about it and they said that the dessert menu was separate, but there wasn't a menu and there was not a label for what most of the items were so I had to ask what many of them were. I see on previous reviews that there were labels so I'm not sure what was going on the day that I went. I wasn't met with much explanation when explaining it was my first time and curious as to what the desserts were. I went with a blueberry cheese danish. It was $6.65. After leaving Best Buy to ordered the new Apple Neo.. I was in the mood for some good pistachio coffee! This place is such a hidden gem. The drink speaks for itself. Top with pistachio switch whole milk for oat milk. Pair so well with the chesse danish. Thay did warm it up for me. I had to take some pistachio baklava to go for later, looks to good to leave behind lol. I was very pleased with my drink! Plenty of parking up front and on the side of the building. I'm so glad I stopped by Fig and Olive. The place is spacious, and there's this calm energy that makes it perfect for hanging out, studying, or just taking a break from the day. Can't go wrong with that and their good service. The pastries are amazing. They're serious standouts and I recommend the cheese danish or the pistachio filled cookie. You can tell they're made just right because they strike that perfect balance between rich and not too sweet. Their iced lattes are also GOOD! I finally got to visit the Fig and Olive Cafe. The Space is very large and everything appeared to be clean. You don't really get the normal cafe smell of coffee and pastries when walking in. The staff was very friendly and was able to accommodate me when I asked if they could make the drinks less sweet. They had two display cases of pastries and I had my eyes on the large stuffed croissants. I was also looking for the Napolian but they did not have any today. I will be back when they have some in stock. The coffee was so good, not too acidic, more of a earthy nutty flavor and paired well with the pistachio foam. I did not ask if they had other milk choices but I imagine it would be just as good with nut milk. The Fig and honey croissant- chefs kiss! I did put it in the air fryer to crisp up a bit when I got home. The filling was fresh and creamy. They do make all their pastries in house, which is a plus. I will most definitely be back! Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Greensboro and had no idea what I was in for! When you walk in, it doesn't look like a cutesy, trendy, coffee shop. However, the space was filled with locals and lots of people! While waiting in line, they made it hard to order since there were so many great options. A local person that was also in line ended up highly recommending the Pistachio Spanish latte and OMG I'm so happy I took her offer! This latte lives rent free in my mind. WHY? Because the sides are covered with crunchy pistachio cream and every time you sip, you not only get the delicious espresso flavor but also the presence of pistachio. 10/10 would recommend! I've wanted to try Fig & Olive for a while and finally made it by for dessert. It did not disappoint! We ordered the Bischoff New York style croissant and a decaf latte. The croissant was delicious- flaky with just the right amount of sweet, creamy filling. The latte was one of the best I've had. The employees were very nice and efficient. There was space for larger and smaller groups and individuals, and even better, you could go back and forth between the cafe and Nazareth Bakery next door. Have been meaning to try this place for a while now and was glad we could stop in today! It was really busy upon entering but we were served quickly and our drinks/ sweet treats were delicious. There was ample seating, open & bright atmosphere even on a cloudy day. I will definitely be returning here in the future, however I was a little disappointed that they were already sold out of so many of their pastries during our visit (midday on a Saturday). Another review I saw mentioned the lack of labeling on some of their food items in the display case that I also noticed. It was busy at the time we arrived and it felt bothersome to ask staff what certain things were, so I felt like I had to pick my food based on what it appeared to be instead of having that clarity. After lunch, we decided on a sweet treat, and my wife was excited to introduce me to the dessert offerings at Fig and Olive. Fig and Olive shares a space with Nazareth Bread Co. and Restaurant, which we haven't tried yet--but now it's definitely on our list. This was my third time at Fig & Olive cafe and it's a huge hit every time I visit! Connected to their sister restaurant Nazareth Bread, their space is very open and inviting. Their baristas are super friendly and prompt with taking your order. I've tried several of the croissant rolls - Biscoff, fig and honey, cinnamon roll, pistachio. Each one was massive and stuffed to the brim. I'm usually disappointed with the ratio of cream to pastry but these guys have it just right! Their baklava is also something to rave about. They have several different kinds and all are fabulous. I have only ever gotten the Biscoff coffee latte because it's hard to get anything else - bold coffee flavor, sweet Biscoff flavor, and garnished to the brim with whipped cream, cookie crumbles, and a whole cookie! Decided to grab a coffee/tea on our way to the Summer Solstice Festival. This showed along the route. It's a cafe attached to a restaurant. It has super cute decor surprising for what the outside looks like. Very unassuming building. While it looks like their croissant cinnamon rolls are they're known for item we did not get those. My husband order an iced dripped coffee with a shot of espresso. Which he loved raved about it, as it was the suggestion of the barista. When the barista said it my husband responded and I quote "you are talking my language" I ordered their karak chai and a pistachio cheesecake. When he placed it on a plate for me he said "look we have the perfect size plates for this" I'm assuming because the croissants are huge and wouldn't have fit on the plate. The cheesecake was divine. They have other flavors too but I don't know if anything would top this. Their karak chai! Omg I've had this one previous time at a random food stall and then bought a mix but couldn't get the flavor right. I am so happy there is a place nearby that sells it. WARNING to regular chai latte fans this is not regular chai it is definitely spicier and definitely an acquired taste. My husband hates it. A group of ladies at a table across from us ordered the Turkish coffee it comes on a tray that's super cute told my husband we have to come back and try it because it looked so good and they looked like they enjoyed it. I'm not sure where this pistachio kick came from but I had to have it. The first time I tried a roll like this was in Denver so I was pleasantly surprised to know we had some here. They will warm it for you if you ask which was amazing. I could tell their rolls were probably good but I just didn't prefer their pistachio roll. I learned that the biscoff was much popular so I'll have to try that next time. The pistachio coffee was interesting. Again, I just don't think anything other than pistachio ice cream is my thing. We were suoer dissapointed but then found out that we could get an pastry item since their till was still open. So we ordered some and it was delicious, absolutely amazing! The service was kind in letting us krder food and the ambiance we could not tell much about since their dine in was already closed. Might be one of my new favorite places to work outside my home and have meetings. Great coffee, incredible pastries and snacks, delicious lunch and dinner foods just a few steps through the archway, and comfortable seating! Fig and Olive has been in progress for awhile inside Nazareth Bread, and they have finally opened up on their own. While the two are still absolutely connected, when inside Fig and Olive you definitely feed like it's a separate place from Nazareth Bread, it's more peaceful and comfortable. There is plenty of table seating available, and especially in the realm of table seating, these chairs don't make you want to get up a move to the couch or a lounger... though those options are available as well. The prices on drinks here are a little lower than what I've seen elsewhere in town, and the coffee is hearty and strong! My standard mocha was bursting with espresso flavor still balanced nicely by the chocolate. Looking upon the pastries they have available, you cannot help but be blown away. Everything is baked in house, and they look just as delicious as they are. Some will be familiar to long time patrons of Nazareth Bread, others are entirely new and I can't wait to try some. Had to try this place out when I saw it next to Nazareth. The cafe is very spacious so customers aren't sitting on top of each other. Several sofas line the walls with tables and chairs which was a comfy touch. The girls behind the counter were sweet. I ordered pistachio everything and my friend ordered hazelnut/nutella everything. I have been in search of fresh, unique, and delicious baked goods. I was volunteering in Greensboro on Saturday with my mom and we wanted to get a little sweet treat after, so I found Fig & olive cafe. I had seen these viral spiral croissants online but had never been somewhere that served them. These were fresh and handmade that morning. I got the pistachio croissant and my mom got the chocolate hazelnut. Both were amazing!!! I would have loved to have taken mine home to warm it up a little because I enjoy a toasty warm croissant but it was too delicious for my self control to handle. I ate the whole thing in the cafe while enjoying a pistachio creme latte. The service was good. It was our first time and the young lady behind the counter was patient and answered questions even though we had a few people in line behind us. Though it was super delicious, it was pricy (but what isn't these days). 2 croissants and 2 lattes was $32 (+ tip ‍). It was a cozy place. Nice and plenty of seating options. Large, spacious cafe in Greensville. They share a wall and opening with a mediterranean restaurant (Nazareth Bread) next door. Good selection of pastries and they also have coffee. I got the pistachio-flavored new york roll. There was a lot of pistachio cream inside and the roll was really filling. Cream itself was artificially green and very sweet, but good in small portions. Staff were nice. They do have dubai chocolate occasionally, but not regularly, so you should check their instagram page where they will announce it. read more

I'm obsessed with this new cafe in GSO. I finally got to try it and it is amazing! The place is large and spacious, well lit, clean, beautifully decorated, and a great place to hang with friends or get some work done. There are a few power outlets for phones/laptops, etc, I didn't notice a ton but definitely a few available for use. The barista was so nice! I told her to surprise me with a drink and she made a Biscoff Butter Cookie latte blended with something and it was amazing! Very sweet, definitely more of a "treat" for me vs everyday coffee but so yummy. I also tried the Pistachio Croissant and it was outstanding. Greensboro is reaching the point of coffee shop oversaturation, but even amid the abundance of other options, Fig and Olive manages to stand out. The coffee drinks include homemade syrups not easily found elsewhere such as fig and honey or pistachio cream. So too it goes with the desserts, which include everything from eclairs to crookies (chocolate chip cookie stuffed croissant rolls, the kind of mad science we can all get behind). I opted for an iced karak/adani chai, and, after being wracked by indecision (thankfully, staff here are patient and courteous) at the pastry case, a Biscoff New York roll. Prices here aren't cheap - the 16-ounce chai ran $6 - but that and calories are likely to be your only regrets. The karak chai was very good: stronger than the more familiar masala chai albeit not overwhelming. The best way to describe the Biscoff roll is "wrong in a good way." Imagine layers of buttery, flaky pastry stuffed with cookie butter. "Delicious" doesn't do it justice. One final note: Fig and Olive is bright and clean with plenty of comfortable seating. If your memories of Nazareth are of it seeming slightly run down, prepare to see this side of the house in a very different light. If Fig and Olive existed when I lived within walking distance of it, I might have spent a dangerous amount of time here. As it now stands, it's a bit of a trek, but it's one that I'll gladly make.
