Chocolate cupcake and a cherry cupcake!
    Mandie B.

Have you ever had a cherry cupcake? Me either. Would I have one again? Yes. I am not sure if I enjoyed it as much as I had hoped, but it was light and airy and the icing was whipped and fluffy. The flavor was just like a cherry. How did they do that? I would like to order one again just because it has me thinking about it 2 days later. When I arrived to a food truck event I was excited to see Destination Desserts as an option. Of course, I waited too long to order dessert and so by the time I arrived they only had 2 flavors; chocolate and cherry. I chose 1 of each and paid $5 for the 2 cupcakes. They packaged them into their own little cases and put them in a bag for me. How nice! By the time I got home that afternoon I needed to try them. I took a bit of the cherry first and then I took another bite of the cherry. It was sweet and different. I then decided to try the chocolate. It was a good cupcake. Moist and flavorful. The chocolate was not over-powering and just sweet enough. I then packaged them up and waited for my fiance to get home since I know he needed a sweet treat too. He definitely passed on the cherry cupcake and chose the chocolate one. I think we each enjoyed out cupcakes. They also have gooey butter cakes and brownies if cupcakes are not your thing!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to visit the Destination Desserts food truck as it was parked in my office park, while standing in line I quickly learned that this is a 100% Non-Profit organization and all proceeds going to support the nationally recognized Center for Head Injury Services. The Center for Head Injury Services was first started in 1986 to me the need of people surviving a brain injury, and has since evolved to support people with brain injuries, autism, and other disabilities lead full and productive lives. In addition to helping people the charity is based right in our hometown. Now the food truck serves a variety of sweet treats ranging from cupcakes, cakes, and cookies. I was tempted by the cupcakes however I couldn't resist the large slice of Gooey Butter Cake. Once I got it back to the office I could hardly wait to try it, and let me tell you it tasted as good as it looked. In addition, they also sell Wag's in a Bag, which are all natural dog treats, and I figured if I was treating myself I have to get something for my little four legged friend at home, so I went with a small bag of their Peanut Butter & Bacon treats. Overall it is great to see a charity offering up some delicious treats all while helping with a great cause, kudos to everyone at the CHIJ and keep up the great work!

If they had everything they advertised then 5 stars. The display looked great. The cookies and cupcakes were even better. Reasonably priced. Great service. They worked the line quickly and efficiently. I got a cupcake and a smoothie, friend got a few cookies. Great combination.

Bought basic snickerdoodle cookies - they were the worst I've ever had. Very dry, hard, and flavorless.

As I was walking to the door, I see a man cleaning the tables. He walks toward the door as I'm walking up to it. We're literally standing face to face with the door in between us. I smile, he is stone faced. I go to open the door as he walks away. The door is locked. I try a few more times, thinking maybe it's me. I look around at the hours again, but next to it is a "we're open" sign. I try maybe 3-4 times more before I give up. I walk to the window and he's sitting at a table toward the back, looking at me. We just look at each other, then he looks at his computer. I turn toward my car, then turn back around and he's still looking at me! I sat in my car, confused. He never looked back up from his computer, so I left. Highly disappointed.

They made a fresh pot of coffee and even went the extra mile to go get ice as we came in later in the evening and they had run out. I did tell them they didn't need to, but he insisted which I thought was outstanding. This quaint little café is so charming inside. It allows people to gather eat a sweet treat and have general conversation conversations where you can actually hear one another. They do have outside seating too. The chocolate cake was soft and as a non-cake lover I found this very delicious. Definitely worthy of sharing. I ordered a quiche to go. I had mentioned they didn't have the spinach feta pastry that I had before. The gentleman stated we have some in the back, I'm happy to get you one. So I ordered that too. And although this was only our second time coming, the fact that they'll make a fresh pot of coffee in my opinion is key to a great café. I will keep this in my rotation of places to go.

It really helped us to be able to make our decisions before ordering. We tried about 3 different jellies: lychee/coconut, aiyu is just sugar that has a flavor so we opted to pass once we asked right before trying it-it had a brown look to it. They do have a note that tapioca is not ready until 1030 AM each day. I ordered passionfruit with lychee with 50% less sugar with light ice. It was just right in sweetness. I like the tartness of passion fruit and that amount of sugar allowed for that with a slight sweetness. I loved that the seeds are in the juice. The drink was delicious. Additionally, I ordered a matcha green milk tea for the morning with tapioca. My daughter got the mango slushie with mango boba-so good!! The milk tea itself was really sweet for 75% sugar and there was a strong taste/texture of the syrup which I did not like at all. However, the boba seems to be made fresh daily, and the texture was really good: soft and perfect amount of chewiness without being too gelatinous or hard. I wish there was a honey flavor to the boba but maybe that was an add on. A cute interior thats great for small hangouts and photos. Overall a decent boba store if you're grocery shopping in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Honestly that's what sold us! Arrived and promptly ordered that dessert and the carrot cake. Then the server told us of their "to die for" tiramisu and my partner immediately said yes. WOW let me tell you from a first hand experience two people do NOT need three desserts. Cyrano's gives you AMAZING portions. Just one would have been enough lol. Anyways, the carrot cake was my favorite. It was so big I had enough to take home! The tiramisu was good but it was being overpowered by the carrot cake that evening. As for the brain chemistry altering bread pudding.... That google review was 100% correct. It was delicious. 10/10. No notes. Please order it if you go to Cyrano's. The ambiance was a little dated but still looked nice. The staff was kind and quickly resolved the missing ice cream situation.

We started with the Korean fried cauliflower and it was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, and the gochujang sauce with the mayo was sweet and sticky in the best way. Since it's a butchery, we had to try the steaks. I ordered the 4oz filet Oscar style. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the crab was fresh, and the homemade hollandaise really pulled it all together. My husband had the ribeye. It was a flavorful cut, a little fatty (as ribeye tends to be), but exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The steaks come with a twice-baked potato and vegetable (or you can swap for different vegetables). The potato was flavorful but fairly dense. We also did the bread service - it was good, but felt a bit pricey for the portion. We ended with the flourless chocolate torte, which was very rich and the perfect way to finish the meal - especially on Valentine's Day. Overall, the food was good and the menu is solid. The quality was there, but the portions, bread service and sides didn't fully meet expectations. That said, it was still a lovely experience and a great date-night spot.
