    Matcha donut, hot dog thing

Tous Les Jours is a French Asian bakery with locations all across the US. The recently opened a location in STL and it could not have been busier when I went! When you walk in you pick up a tray and some tongs and get to look through all the different glass cases of baked goods. You pick what you want and then pay at the counter. They have both sweet and savory options. I opted to get their matcha donut and a savory hot dog pastry. They also have specialty cakes, as well as espresso drinks. I love the variety of options they have and feel that their baked goods are overall fairly priced. I can't wait to go back and try something new!

Such a cute bakery in the loop! They ah e options for everyone. You can pick out more savory items or discover new sweets to try. The staff is very fast and efficient getting customers checked out. And there is a nice amount of seating inside the restaurant to enjoy your finds!

I love Tous Les Jours! I came here to pick up some pastries while I was passing through St. Louis. Everything was fresh and there was a wide variety of options to choose from! Everything I had was delicious! The cashier was kind and there were plenty of clean tables to sit and study, hang out, and eat your food. I will definitely be back the next time I am in St. Louis!

I can see why people love this place. It is very cute, shiny and there's lots of treats. The pastries we tried were all good, as was the coffee. It was Sunday afternoon and very busy/crowded. Once you grab your tray and pick your pastries, you go check out and order your drinks. Then the hunt for a seat begins! For 3 pastries and 3 drinks the total came to just over $30. Not too bad. But nothing that we HAD to come back for. The thing that really stood out was how the workers all acted. No smiling, no small talk, no greetings. Just loading trays of treats, taking orders and serving drinks. The cute decor can't make up for the lack of enthusiasm of the team. If you are looking to get some Instagram style pics at coffee shop, this is probably your place. Otherwise, I'd suggest skipping it.

An amazing place! I love the variety of pastries available and the idea of serving. Grabbing a tray and tongs to pick what you'd like is somewhat dangerous for your wallet, but I love that it's easy to get whatever you want. It can be busy, but it moves pretty quickly. On a weekend morning you might be pressed to find a seat, but this location has a good flow! Services was nice and quick. Love that the have free WiFi so if you're trying to stay and work, it's pretty simple

First time in Tous Les Jours on a Sunday around lunch time. When you walk in you see this clean, open space that allows the desserts to show their beauty. The delicious smells get you excited to try lots of things. We picked up a tray, wax paper, and tongs and got on our way. We huddled together and each picked the things that drew our attention. We went up and down the case and then decided on more things from the case in line. When we were called by the cashier the whole beautiful experience came to an end. She didn't greet us, look us in the eye, smile at us, nothing. She asked for here or to go and proceeded to pack our things to go with great exasperation and the vie that she wanted to be anywhere but where she was. It was so disappointing to be so excited about all the beautiful things in the space for it end with her total lack of engagement. My favorite item was the egg tart. I enjoyed the Blueberry filled doughnut as well, but the tart beat it out.

I finally stopped by Tous Les Jours on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. They were out of several things but there were still tons of treats to choose from. I chose a few options and waited in a long line to check out. They stopped the line a couple of times to get caught up on drinks so it took a pretty long time. My food was great but my latte was just ok. I would have liked to see the self serve area monitored a little more since I noticed a lot of people not using the tongs as instructed to keep things clean and healthy for everyone.

I just stopped by Tous Les Jours for the first time today with some girlfriends for a quick treat this afternoon and it was great! They have so many sweet and savory pastry options to choose from (I had a red bean bun that was nice). They were very busy this afternoon but the employees had the line move very quickly and efficiently! It's a cute spot to hangout with friends with plenty of treats and drinks to choose from. I definitely want to come back to try more of their savory pastries!

*individual pastry reviews below ! * On a Saturday around 11 AM before the crowd got too big, we found ourselves here, a place I'd be wanting to try but very much not wanting to wait in long lines. Lucky for us it wasn't crowded at all! The atmosphere is bright and open, plenty of space for sitting and i love the self service aspect. We got multiple pastries (see below for individual reviews) and I had a hot vanilla latte - the barista was very excited to show me the heart she made which was cute to see! I will for sure return to try more! - - pastry time - - Favorite: Strawberry Cake - i LOVED this cake. I love strawberry cake in general and this was soft and sweet and i might just buy a whole cake... Spinach Feta Danish 5/5 Warm (warmed up at home) - flaky and buttery and delicious! Not as good cold - heat that up Garlic Cheese Croissant 5/5 Warm - same deal as above, they make a good pasty! I'd say 3/5 not warm on this one Caramel Apple Pie 5/5 Warm , yea delicious. 3/5 Cold Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissant 2/5- it doesn't taste bad, they are cooked well, but it doesn't make sense my mouth, I'd rather have chocolate inside Sweet Rice Donut - not my thing. It was stuffed with a thick sugary paste texture.

Strawberry cloud cake - amazingly light and delicious.

I can't overstate how fantastic having a Tous Les Jours in St. Louis, specifically the Loop, is for the STL area. It is now my go-to spot for treats that are "not too sweet". The staff is awesome!! We just went last weekend to pick a birthday cake for my young toddler, and the person who helped me went so above and beyond to make sure that she had a special day.

Decided to check out Tous Les Jours again for breakfast before church, it still lives up to the hype. Going right at open seemed like a good idea, but they were still catching up on baking so pastries were a bit sparse at first. But, the longer I was looking at everything and waiting on the other early birds more items came out, hence my full tray! Plus, nothing beats grabbing the first item off a fresh tray of pasties. Also, the Strawberry Tiramisu is my new favorite desert for summer. Absolutely divine. Top 5 ever, for sure.

I felt so luxurious stopping at this cafe. I ordered a tiramisu iced latte which was amazing. The buffet style pastries looked absolutely delicious! It feels like you've stepped out of America and into a European pastry shop. The service was quick and the servers were kind. Can be hard to find a table on a weekend, but it's worth the wait! Great atmosphere!

Although I forgot to snap some pictures of the actual food, I really loved the tiramisu matcha latte! The matcha flavor was very light and you could taste more of the smooth cream. I went on a late afternoon weekday and they still had a line that was a quite a few people deep. Thankfully my drink didn't take too long! I've never stayed long or sat inside but it always looks quite busy. However there is free WiFi! Overall the pastries are always delicious and they have unique drinks, so I'll definitely come back for more!

I went with a Hot Macchiato with Caramel and Mocha, 2% Milk and a small Chicken Empanada. They were a bit backed up, so the wait was a little longer than I expected, but the drink was very good. I didn't even have to specify how many pumps of what to put in there, they just did it and it was perfect. The right temperature, I didn't have to wait to drink it. The empanada was piping hot, so I had to let it cool and unfortunately couldn't try it before my appt. Next time tho.

This one did, so I walked over from the restaurant where we were after lunch. This is a very pleasant shop with lots of available seating. It just has a rather modern look, and it was very nice and clean. I came up to talk to a friendly barista. The pour over menu was a bit confusing because there wasn't a lot of information directly on the menu, I asked about one pour over because I had never tried a bean of that origin before. She had good things to say about it, but she said that, if I wanted something fruity or floral to try Haro Wachu from Ethiopia. It was as if she read my mind because I had been wanting to try a natural processed Ethiopian. I'm really glad I took her suggestion! It was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tried. I didn't taste so much of a note of fruit in it, but I still loved it! I made sure to make a note of what it was in case I have room for more beans at home and want to order it. So, I do wish it was easier to tell what each pour over was in the menu (They have a lot at reasonable prices!). However, I left there thoroughly impressed with the coffee. If you are out on Delmar Loop, they are definitely worth visiting.

Some place where I could print off copies of my zine about protecting the environment by committing minor acts of terrorism in America's forests? Turns out, it's a place where you can listen to truly random vinyl records while eating burritos entirely too good to be available in Clayton. Nothing about the latter says this part of town except for the price, which is almost like someone's cruel idea of a joke. I'd suggest that they're the best breakfast burritos available anywhere in the area, but what do I know? I've been eating breakfast burritos since the Reagan administration, when they were invented (as far as I know), but mostly of the microwavable variety. They have the potential to be the best food possible, because they combine the two other best foods, breakfast sandwiches and Mexican food, but no one seems to put any real effort into them. They're less likely than their lunch/dinner counterpart to cause gastrointestinal distress. People suspect that the reason Chipotle gives you the runs roughly every third time you visit is because of the cilantro, which is impossible to wash, but I heard it's really the lettuce. Never get lettuce on a burrito from Chipotle. If you're getting one of those bowls, why are you even going to Chipotle? You're probably already fat, and not eating a tortilla is not going to make a difference. But I digress. Upshot is primarily a coffee shop, and I think it's generally well regarded as far as that's concerned, though I'm no expert. I drink a nice, stiff six cups or so of whatever's on sale first thing in the morning and it usually ends up being the highlight of my day. I don't need any coffee in addition to that. I might get nervous. I've had luck lately with the seasonal selections at other local coffee shops that I've visited, so I figured I'd take my chances with an iced strawberry matcha latte. It seemed like it would be nice and refreshing after getting in a few miles with the homies, and damn it if it didn't hit the spot. You could see the actual seeds in it from where they must have crushed up an actual strawberry to make it, thus justifying the price, at least as far as they're concerned. They spared no expense with the burrito either. It's filled with surprisingly large chunks of bacon and avocado. Can they afford to give you more bacon because they don't cook it to the point where it starts to shrink? I like it when it's still kinda chewy, but I'm sure many would beg to differ. That must be how bacon is served in Clayton. They don't have the lovable old James bring it out to you, but I can understand, with this being 2026. It's not the lengthiest tortilla in the world, but it's stuffed to nearly overflowing with eggs, cheese, potatoes and what have you. I'd suggest bringing a date just to see if she could wrap her lips around it, but who's got that kind of money? It would have to be someone you've already been out with a few times, who's with the program, so to speak.

The ambiance was also one of my favorite things about the place. They only play vinyl records, which created such a cool, cozy, and unique atmosphere. I didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but everything on the menu looked incredible, so I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying it. The only downside was that the music was pretty loud while we were there. We were trying to have a work meeting, so it was a little difficult to hear each other at times. Eventually, I'd run out of money and be forced to live out of doors, perhaps in a tent in the park across the street. It would almost be worth it. Kentzo Koffee is not without its flaws, but it's a good place to have a coffee ("koffee") and a light breakfast. It's not clear to me how long it's been around, but it's possible they have a few issues that just need ironing out. A guy from my running group who lives nearby was running down the litany of businesses that have been in this space. Is this location cursed? Was a Native American killed there? This is no fault of Kentzo, but there was some confusion as to whether the breakfast bowl comes with eggs. I could have sworn that it doesn't and that the menu made this clear, but a few members of my group, who are girls with whom I'm not inclined to outwardly disagree, insisted that it does. It seems like it should anyway, right? What's a breakfast bowl without eggs? You could just as easily have such a bowl for lunch. That's unacceptable. This place had umpteen baristas, including one dressed like she was working for tips in a place frequented by bikers (she looked amazing), but they were barely keeping up with orders. This was fine with me. I didn't have anywhere to be, and my drink--an iced vanilla latte, natch--was good when it finally came out. But this is not the kind of place to stop and grab a quick drink on your way to work. There was only one guy making food, as far as I can tell, and he was on it. He made my Breakfast Bowl w/ Bacon and brought it out before I got my drink. He warned me that the bowl was hot, but he was holding it with his bare hand. He must think that I'm actually *from* Maplewood. I had to have the girl who handed me my drink fetch my cinnamon roll. Were they supposed to hand it to me when I ordered? Were they hoping I'd just forget? The cinnamon roll was cold, like maybe it sat in a refrigerator overnight. It occurred to me that it almost certainly wasn't made that day, but it didn't seem particularly stale or prepackaged. It cost more than I paid for most meals in the pre-Brandon era, and it occurred to me that they could just give you a bit less, not charge as much, and I'd be fine with that. Did I devour the whole thing in a few bites anyway, like I just got out of jail? Yes. Yes, I did.
