They offer a wide variety of delicious pastries, including both savory and sweet puffs, croissants, egg tarts, milk bread, pies, muffins, and danishes. We frequently order cakes from them for special occasions, and they're always a hit. The cakes are perfectly soft with just the right amount of sweetness. Their drink menu has coffee, tea and non caffeinated drinks, and my personal favorite is the iced strawberry matcha. The service is consistently quick and friendly. I can see why people love this place. It is very cute, shiny and there's lots of treats. The pastries we tried were all good, as was the coffee. It was Sunday afternoon and very busy/crowded. Once you grab your tray and pick your pastries, you go check out and order your drinks. Then the hunt for a seat begins! For 3 pastries and 3 drinks the total came to just over $30. Not too bad. But nothing that we HAD to come back for. The thing that really stood out was how the workers all acted. No smiling, no small talk, no greetings. The delicious smells get you excited to try lots of things. We picked up a tray, wax paper, and tongs and got on our way. We huddled together and each picked the things that drew our attention. We went up and down the case and then decided on more things from the case in line. When we were called by the cashier the whole beautiful experience came to an end. She didn't greet us, look us in the eye, smile at us, nothing. She asked for here or to go and proceeded to pack our things to go with great exasperation and the vie that she wanted to be anywhere but where she was. It was so disappointing to be so excited about all the beautiful things in the space for it end with her total lack of engagement. My favorite item was the egg tart. I finally stopped by Tous Les Jours on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. They were out of several things but there were still tons of treats to choose from. I chose a few options and waited in a long line to check out. They stopped the line a couple of times to get caught up on drinks so it took a pretty long time. I can't overstate how fantastic having a Tous Les Jours in St. Louis, specifically the Loop, is for the STL area. It is now my go-to spot for treats that are "not too sweet". The staff is awesome!! I got the Kimchee croquette but it's a little too heavy for my taste. Their cloud cake is also light and tasty. I tasted someone's match cream pastry, which was also delicious. I tend to always her the fried mochi ball that has the red bean. All the pastries I like may be more suited for me and not the majority. ALERT: this might be the best dessert I've ever had from a bakery!!! Top 3, not 3! That's saying a lot coming from a Southern soul born and raised in North Carolina. I love my peach cobbler, apple crisp, and red velvet cake, etc, but this dessert changed the game for me! Chocolate chip cookies are easily a top 5 dessert for me so the crookie was an easy choice for me. This was the first time I've ever seen my two favorite carbs combined in this way, bonus points for the innovation. Ignore the candles, this was my birthday treat to myself and I couldn't have asked for anything better on my special day. This was my first time visiting St. Louis and I didn't have high expectations of what the cuisine scene would be like, but I'm so glad I found this bakery within walking distance of where I was staying in University City. The shop had such a unique ambience, set up and selection. When you walk in its carbohydrate heaven, you grab a tray and make your own way around the display cabinets of treats and grab your own items. They offered typical staples but also had a selection of treats you may not typically find. Service was friendly but please expect and a long wait if you go close to opening and on the weekend. They need a bigger location, already! So, in case you are trading this before you go, hot tip! Trays/tongs/tissue are all at the front door. We walked in and there were so many people, we weren't sure how to proceed, so I'm here to warn you! This is the process, grab some tongs, a tissue and a tray, and pick your goodies, THEN get in the long line to wait to pay. This is where you pick your coffee drink, then you sit down. In case they are not packed, like they were on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, they do have wifi. But today, almost every seat was taken. I saw a variety of drinks on the tables from green matcha to lavender iced and hot beverages. I'm a fan of a good ol' black coffee. I also appreciated, the bakery goodies listed their calories on the signs. I ordered a Jalapeno Cheddar croissant, we collectively got 4 pastries. This past Sunday was our second time that we went to this place. The first time we went here was in the evening time 2 sundays ago, so there was not a lot of pastry left. There were just some slices of cakes, which we got a couple of the cake slices to go. I definitely recommend to come here during the morning time, especially on the weekend. Next I tried the mango cloud cake. Great mango flavor, again hoping for something a little sweeter. The cream was whipped cream on there also. I definitely enjoyed it more than the croissant. Finally, the macarons. I purchased lemon, salted caramel, and birthday cake. I tried the birthday cake. I LOVE macarons. The cookie part was a little softer than I'm used to. Very happy to have a French Korean bakery in STL! The baked goods were all delicious, I especially enjoyed the lightly sweet matcha cream croissant and the savory kimchi croquette. For a drink I got the Ube Tea Latte which was a very light but fragrant flavor, I just wish they offered alternative milks (I'm not sure they have them). It is still relatively new and super packed with a line out the door but it moves relatively quickly (I would say I waited 10-15 min maximum). I would be sure to get one (or two) of what looks good to you upfront to avoid having to go through the line all over again for seconds. The staff here are promptly bringing new fresh goods to the displays as items sell out. One thing I enjoyed is that they have a great selection of savory pastries.
