I tried mochi donuts for the first time, and Mochi Sweets did not disappoint. I ordered the strawberry matcha, cream puff, red velvet, Nutella, cookies and cream, and strawberry and shortcake. The texture of the donuts was soft, slightly chewy but still airy. The flavors were all delicious, but my favorite had to be the cream-filled donut! The employee that welcomed me as I walked in was friendly, offering me another menu to look at with other options and allowing me to take my time. I ended up trying a different combo than usual, and even with this she offered to remake my drink if it didn't taste right, before I even tried it. I enjoyed everything I had, as I got on the road and would come again if I'm in the area! Potato K-dogs are always a favorite of mine with mozzarella, so I got that from this service and it was great. Something new I tried was a nutella donut that they had, which of course ended up being great. The drink that I had that was made different was a Thai tea but with coconut milk, it tastes different from the usual creaminess of a Thai tea, but for me the taste that it had I expected with the coconut milk substitute, I think with this it's sweeter. read more

I have been thinking about trying out mochi donuts but wasn't really sure since I don't like donuts in general. One Saturday, I finally made myself drive over to try some. I follow them on Instagram to check their flavors of the week, and they posted that they had ube so off I went. I ordered ube, black sesame and chocolate. They were out of ube, but offered to make me a fresh one if I didn't mind waiting for 5 minutes. I said yes and waited outside for my order. I also got a taro bobba tea with some rainbow jelly. The workers are super nice. They brought my order out to me, and I waited a little longer for my tea. When they finished making my tea, the lady who brought it out to me gave me a free black sesame donut for the wait. It was such a kind gesture even though I didn't really wait all that long. Less than 10 minutes for my wait time, which included them making me a fresh ube mochinut. The mochinut does have a different texture than a good old donut, a little less sweet, but the glaze dressed up the dough well. I love the chewy texture of the donuts and the variety of flavor options for the glaze. I can't say this will be a routine trip because I'm really not big into sweets, but if you are and you're looking for a different treat, give this place a try! You might find a surprisingly delicious treat that you'll want to come back to often! read more

I popped in with my daughters to get a little treat. I got a taro milk tea with Boba. It was pretty good but a little water down. My oldest got a brown sugar milk tea with Boba and she said it was a little watered down as well. My youngest got the strawberry soda with fruit jelly. She absolutely loved it. The containers for the drinks are really cute instead of plastic over the top. It is aluminum like a soda can My oldest got the Oreo donut. She said the flavor was good, but it was a little stale. I wish they had at least one gluten- free option so my other daughter could get one. They were pretty busy and seemed a little confused on who was getting orders out. All the employees were very sweet though. The ceilings are very tall and it's very white inside. There was a toddler screaming, and it was echoing through the whole building. My daughter finished up her donut and we took our drinks to go. No fault of the business. We just weren't in the mood to be somewhere that loud. I was in the area and was thrilled to finally try Mochinut after they recently opened. It was hard to pick a flavor because they all looked delicious, but I settled on the fruity pebbles donut that my daughter picked out, the hazelnut, and the blueberry. The box is coming three sizes, and can fit one, three or six donuts. The blueberry was my favorite, not overly sweet, deliciously chewy with the perfect slightly firm texture on the outside. The hazelnut mochi donut was rich and velvety. I didn't have a chance to try the corn dogs this time, but they looked very delicious. They also sell bubble tea and other drinks! read more

Ronnie's plaza sure does offer a great spread of food. I went here for a quick sweet bite after a night out for dinner. Donuts are delicious, I also like how they change the flavors everyday or so. Corn dogs here taste like any other one i've tasted, but it's okay. Place is also clean, not a single crumb in sight. Restrooms are also tidy. Counter is tidy, everything is tidy. My only complaint is that since it's a family business, there are kids running around. I understand that if you are a kid, you would want to understand so I don't want that to affect my review. Service is decent. Nothing special. Maybe that's a good thing, at least it's not bad. I don't see many Mochi Doughnut places, so this is awesome! I was so excited to hear that they opened a Mochinut in STL! We tried one of each flavor they had except for the Maple Bacon. My favorites were the pistachio and the strawberry cheesecake but you can't go wrong with any of them. The store is really cutely decorated with the cherry blossom trees, little vases of flowers, and comfy couches. Their packaging is their con. It took almost an hour to get our 5 drinks. They put their drinks into a soda can package, so it takes forever to get an actual drink. They have an array of mochi donuts, which looks pretty in person, but all the ones we tried were all dry and ok. And just like an 'ok' donut you'd get at a gas station stop. No texture difference from cake donuts with icing. I will say their drinks are ok, nothing special and we weren't really sure what we were ordering. There are no descriptions of the drinks and they really didn't bother explaining what is on their menu. Due to the ambiguity, we just pointed and said "Ok" to everything the counter person asked. I really don't even remember what I got, but it was fine. I just didn't want to wait 45 minutes for it :( Anyways, it takes too long to get their expensive drinks and donuts, but the place is cute and new. Just not timely. read more

Was excited to try this place out since it wasn't too far from us. The inside is a whole vibe love the two trees they have set out also they had a balloon arch which was super cute to take pictures at. All of the mochi donuts looked way too pretty to eat but wasn't really impressed with the flavors and we got one of each to test them out. My favorite was the Nutella and s'mores. They aren't that sweet like how we expected it to be. The milk tea we got tasted really weird not enough flavor in it compared to others I have tried. The cheese pull was pretty nice on the corn dogs but not as flavorful. There is an app called Too Good to Go when the facility try to sell the items at a discounted price of what is left instead of throwing it away. You need to pick up the items at a certain time frame. The time for me to pick it up was between 4:30pm -5:00pm. We drove 30 minutes we got there at 4:40pm to pick it up and this store Mochi Sweets cancelled my order. The manager said there was nothing left when there was more than 20 Mochidonuts on display. She told me it was already refunded but what was upsetting was when she said there was none left. It was a big fat lie right to my face!!! This store should be ashamed of themselves to treat customers like these. It just shows that they are very greedy and they rather sell the items that was left at a regular price. Customers should stay away from this type of establishment that is not honest with their customers. This store does not care about treating customers fairly rather they care more about making money. I was excited to try this place out but ended up not liking it. The aesthetic is super cute. It had nobody inside. We went to the counter to look at the menu where a very young child who looked of the age of 10 or less was working which was a shock to me but she was very nice, I don't think she should be working especially around hot grease but I guess if the state allows it?! I waned to try all the flavors so we got 1 of each, a brown sugar milk tea and a Korean corndog I got the original. The both of us order the same thing, 2 Korean hotdogs, the same amount of donuts and the drink. However they didn't bring out 1 corndog. So instead of 4 we got 3. We waited and they never brought it out, we told them and they said we didn't order it. The little girl took our order so I'm guessing the mom came out said she was sorry and would take care of her for the issue. Within seconds she flys to the counter and literally brings us the credit card reader to scan her card for their mistake. Unfortunately that isn't taking care of your customer they honestly shouldn't have a child working. So then we had to wait and wait for that which was kind of annoying since it was a mistake on their part. The original Korean corndog was pretty good, but nothing amazing where I would need to come back. The hot Cheeto one to me didn't taste like hot Cheetos. It tasted almost like sour. I don't know how to explain it. The milk tea was awful. It was like 90% milk. I tasted some sort of like Matcha or tasting flavor and bland like cardboard. It was not caramel or brown sugar. Wasted money on that skip the teas in general! The donuts weren't too sweet if you like that then that's for you. The donuts looked super cute and fancy. The funnel cake one tasted like a plain donut no flavor. The donuts definitely don't taste like the American type of donuts. These donuts were soft and chewy, not as sweet. They weren't bad but not horrible. I liked the Nutella and s'more's donuts in my opinion they had the most flavor. Again, would I come back no! I like to always try new places and if they are worth it I would come back but this was a one and done place. Overpriced as well. The child working threw me off too. read more
