There was no sign out with the brewery's name, as far as we could see, and no cars. No sign of life anywhere. We finally figured out we had to go around the side of the building where the entrance was. Interesting space. Big open high-ceilinged taproom, brew space in the next room over, bathrooms past the brew space with private rooms and spaces that can be rented for parties, including a tiny room with a pinball machine in it. The beer we had was good, though I'm always wary of a brewery that still has a fest beer and a pumpkin beer on the menu in January. 11 beers on tap with descriptions and tasting notes on the menu, which I always appreciate. Plenty of beers in the to go fridge. Based off their instagram it looks like they do a lot of fun events, but it seems we were there on an off night. Despite it being a Saturday night, there was no live music and no food truck. We were there for an hour and there were only two other people there so it was kind of dead. As far as I can tell this place has the distinction of being New Jersey's northern most brewery. We don't live anywhere close but we would come back if we were in the area again.

We have visited Muckraker before and love that they now have an expanded space with both indoor and outdoor seating that is fully dog friendly for leashed, well-behaved pups. There is an on-site BBQ kitchen, @beardedbabyque, for a bite to eat (or you can bring your own), plus plenty of fun touches like garage doors that open to mountain views, darts, pinball, and of course a friendly staff that makes the experience even better.

Right in between West & Hudson Aves., Dylan's Wine Cellar was a great match. It certainly looks the part with its relaxed vibe and nifty local wine selections at cool retail prices. Plus the two main aisles are spaced nicely and not too cramped. Adjacent room on the right has a few other items and held for Tastings also- not sure how often they host them. Hubs and I like our wines- but since I'm pausing for a while, he enjoys them for me. We're not wine connoisseurs- but he picked out a couple of interesting Reds to fill up the rack. Dylan's actually a cool spot with a seriously good selection and something for every taste and every budget. And regardless of whether you're looking for a flawless, hard-to-find label, or an every-day, budget-priced wine, swing by Dylan's laid back space- besides...my husband was pleased with his selections.

Before even entering the store there was a new person there (assuming the co owner) working. She condescendingly asked if we were 21 and carded us, well that wasn't really a big deal for Us, but once we started browsing and looking at different wines she tells us, "please don't pick up any bottles in that section if you don't plan to buy, it would be very expensive to replace..." THE BOTTLE WE PICKED UP WAS $36!!! (we were taught to always look at labels, producers and importers when buying wine) We are just heartbroken because we thought we had a new locally owned wine shop to support one of our favorite pastimes.
