This is Ramstein brewery. The service was outstanding. I asked to try and the guy on Saturday explained all the brews available. I tried the pickleback pilsner. It was so good, I had a mug of it. And I took a 1L growler home of it. It's a Pilsner with a hint of pickles in it. Sounds gross but it actually is very good. The mug was $6. The growler purchase was $22 and $8 to fill with pickleback. And I left a 15% tip. The ambiance is that of a quaint German brewpub with tables and a bar top. I will finish this growler and keep it empty in my car for the next time. I recommend this place and will be back. I used to stop here many years ago and the service and beer remain the same five stars. They are also working on bringing food in. There are tables outside in their beer garden for you to bring your own food.

Great , bring snacks as NJ does not allow food sold. The staff is incredibly nice , informative and welcoming. We look forward to returning.

I prefer German beers, so this hit the spot. Black lager as expected. Dark winter wheat complex and tasty. Double wheat had good body and flavor. Barkeep great and friendly crowd. It's like a little bierstube in a factory. One quibble: is name ramstein or high point? Maybe this is why it took me 25 years to find you.

I love coming to this place, they have new flavors very often. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Finally I made it to Ramstein / High Point Brewing. But they are open pretty much every day of the week, so it really shouldn't have taken so long to get there. They are one of the original breweries in NJ that existed before the craft beer boom, along with Flying Fish, Cricket Hill, River Horse, and Climax. When I drove into Butler, NJ I was pleasantly surprised how nice the town is. It almost doesn't feel like NJ. It feels almost like a charming industrial town in Ohio. The brewery itself is located inside a really cool 19th century rubber mill building. The atmosphere is like no other brewery in NJ. They have a regular crowd of guys, too, and everyone is chatty and welcoming. I thought the service was top notch. Apparently they change their beers seasonally. It's summer now, so they had only lightly colored ones. So, the flip-side of this is that most of them pretty much just taste the same. I have to say that I really only enjoyed the lagers. Not many breweries in NJ brew lagers because they have to be stored 6-7 weeks, instead of ales, which is just 2-3. So, it's a treat for me to sample lagers. Of the beers I tasted, they actually did not remind me so much of the beers I drank in Germany when I lived there. This is not craft beer here either. I would call the beers, "German/Import Inspired." But it's still a fun experience overall, and I would go there more frequently if I lived closer.

Good selection of German beers. You can bring in your own food and outdoor seating is provided with appropriate social distancing. The brewery has a very cool industrial vibe and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Awesome beer and atmosphere. The kolsch, wit and Oktoberfest are phenomenal! Second time here, 1 post COVID. Awesome outdoor seating with a small fire pit. Plenty of space for a larger crowd. Unfortunately they weren't doing flights but that's fine since I drank full beers instead.

I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. I liked the the brewery especially with its setting among some old brick buildings. Only wish they had more of a selection.

Love Kristall-Weizen (crystal-clear wheat beer)? Come to Butler. High Point is a 15-barrel brewery that has been brewing uber traditional German-style beers since 1996, offering different seasonal beers thru the year including lagers and pilsners in addition to their awesome unfiltered and filtered wheat beers. Extraordinarily friendly people and excellent session beers. The Ramstein tap room is small, noisy, a tad hard to find and rather warm in the summer. But the beer quality makes up for it! Flight of five 6oz pours is just $10! Tours are only given selected Saturdays but if you ask nicely you can get a quick glimpse behind the scenes. Even have their own bottling line. When we visited there was a Summer Bock lager but alas no pilsners. The dark Doppelbock wheat beer was outstanding, a little strong at 9+%. Have to admit I wasn't a fan of their double platinum hefeweizen, just too spicy for me. Need to come back when the Oktoberfest beer is back in the Fall. BYO food. They put out bowls of little pretzels which helps tremendously. Yeah the names are confusing - operating as High Point, labeling the product Ramstein. On our (brief) tour Greg Z. explained he wanted to open in High Point NJ but due to the critical lack of infrastructure (like gas & water) he opted for the industrial park. They emphasize that all ingredients (except water) come straight from Germany. Zum Wohl (to your health)!

    Wunderbar!

I genuinely cannot visit without ordering the buffalo garlic parm bone-in wings. It's a commitment at this point. The flavor combination sounds like it shouldn't work, but trust me -- it absolutely does. Crispy, saucy, and completely addictive. They're the reason I keep coming back. Beyond the wings, the specials are always worth checking out. They rotate regularly and never feel like an afterthought -- each one is something different and genuinely tasty, which keeps every visit feeling fresh. The outdoor seating area is a nice bonus too, with a decent amount of space to spread out and enjoy your meal al fresco. If you can catch them on a good service day, this place really hits. Either way, the food alone is worth the trip.

The tater tots are magical! Crispy, fresh and golden. My husband makes fun of the fact that I order tater tots everywhere they're offered, but even he admits these are awesome. The restaurant definitely lives up to its name - there is an extensive and I mean EXTENSIVE beer list, and they are always adding new craft beers and selections from local breweries. The bourbon, whiskey and scotch list is pretty respectable too. There's always something happening here: trivia/bingo nights, a tapping event, or when UFC is on, so the variety in food and entertainment keeps things constantly interesting. The beer garden is open for the warm weather so you can dine outside as well. Service is great!

Finally we had a chance to visit recently, enticed by the Hungarian folk band and gulyás (goulash) being featured that day. The place was absolutely packed and lively, with an enthusiastic crowd and some surprisingly good traditional dancers among the patrons. I was chatting with a local regular who told me it's usually a good crowd on the weekend but not like this. Guess the band and gulyás really brought out the throng! They've got a solid core range of beers - IPAs, lagers, stouts, sours - and special/seasonal flavors too, and even have their own hard seltzer line for those non-beer drinkers. I'm not an IPA person but lots of people seem to like their hazy IPAs (which my husband ordered). I stuck with my usual wheat beer and had a Belgian white...with blueberry! Delicious. The laid back and friendly vibe, down-to-earth crowd, and bright interiors with café-like seating areas all make Tribesmen a relaxing place to keep company. The calendar is filled with events such as trivia night, karaoke night, live music, and quaint social activities like crochet & sip and bonsai bar. All's to say I'd hang out here a lot more if I didn't have parenting responsibilities, though this does seem like a pretty family friendly place. They don't serve food but do welcome you to bring outside food or to order in (always a plus), though sometimes they have food trucks on the weekends. Egészségedre!
