Good food for a local bar, friendly service. Just don't come hangry! This seems to be a hangout for regulars chatting at the bar, with a small menu of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. We came on a Friday evening, tired and hungry, so waiting for food wasn't something we wanted. But wait we did. However, when we eventually got our food, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger patty, and the grilled cheese accompaniment to the tomato bisque (especially since they said there was no more of the chili I ordered). The staff came over several times to check in which was appreciated. The food and service saved the experience for us! Prices were also reasonable. They have outdoor seating as well, which is where most people chose. If they were a more well-run establishment they could take this to the next level. Went after a hike with a couple of friends. We got the eggplant fritters, portion of fries, truffle Swiss burger, bowl of chili, Mediterranean burger. Everything was pretty tasty. Really enjoyed the fries with the garlic aioli. The truffle aioli was also good. The eggplant fritters felt like a rip off because it was 4 falafel sized pieces for 16$. It did come on a bed of pesto and lemon aioli which were both delicious. Service was excellent and the ambiance is very chill. Definitely would come back for their aiolis and burgers. read more

We stopped in after a long flight, the restaurant was cozy had a old-school feeling about it. We saw online that they were open until 11pm arrived around 9pm. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted by the host station which was quick to get us menus. Our waiter had told us right away we had 15 minutes to order or we would miss the kitchen because they were closing. We arrived at our table around the corner. My wife ordered the market salad with chili and a side of fries to pick from the salad was a large portion, the chili was flavorful and not too salty. I ordered the blue cheese burger and it was absolutely delicious. My son ordered the seven lakes burger and he ate the entire thing which speaks volumes because he's super picky. Because the kitchen was closed our waiter couldn't complete our order with to go cakes. They sounded delicious although he went on. To say they aren't homemade and are pre sliced. Always on the hunt for a great brewery or beer house and this place did not disappoint! We tried one of their samplers and omg, all of the beers were so different in taste but all super delicious! Their food menu had great variety and their service was excellent. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the place gets very crowded due to all of their amazingness, duh! We drove about 30 minutes to get here and the ride was worth it. Oh and they allow dogs in their back outdoor area which is a plus, so we don't have to leave our doggy at home. My husband and I came here on a date night out and we absolutely loved this place. Very cozy , rustic feel everyone was really nice . We didn't relaize that they even had a longue area as well that we loved it had a rustic feel and made you feel like if you were up in cabin somewhere. The food was out of this world . I usually never eat burgers and omg this burger was delicious. Freshly made and homemade as well . Definitely get the burgers with the Belgium fries are a must. We love the atmosphere in the outdoor seating area- great music, tents for shade, fire pits, and heat lamps (in the winter). Seven Lakes is dog friendly so it's a perfect spot for us after a hike at Harriman State Park. We even order beef patties for our dogs! I highly recommend Seven Lakes Station! I'm not sure if our waitress was High or what but talk about confused! 69.00 dollars for four beers and a cheese plate (never even got napkins or forks) what a joke. Characters is a cool bar too, but if you are a craft beer fan and love to try new beers and well crafted food, Seven Lakes Station is just down the road an extra min or two by foot and totally worth it!! This time I had the shrimp po boy with a chipotle aioli sauce on a brioche and it was exactly the right amount and perfectly crisp and sauced. Shared it with my better half and it was more than enough, but if you are hungry get two meals and share. You'll be thankful. Also, order the side of Authentic Belgian Frites. Pick an Aioli Sauce you like or just go with ketchup, you will be impressed, they call them the best in the area and they just might be right. For beer this time I had a perfect Hill Farmstead Edward IPA from VT at a light 5.2% and it was crisp, flavorful and refreshing. Some really good beers on tap. FULL selection!! Finally, one of the best parts of Seven Lakes is their beer garden. Been before in the afternoon and it was lovely. So quaint and relaxing. Tried to sit there this evening and they were kinda full, so we sat inside and it was a great ambiance as well. After a nice hike at the Ramapo Reservation I decided to swing by here for a quick bite. Since Covid their menu during the week is limited to just their home brewed taps and cheese or meat selections. We opted for a combo and the charcuterie board did not disappoint. Their blue cheese was out of this world good and tons of meat to please any carnivore. Upon entering the establishment to their outdoor garden there are ample tables. Granted the place was empty but I wouldn't feel cramped during a highly peaked time. This part of NY does allow patrons to sit inside at 50% capacity with masks but they only have a section near the bar so it's really an outdoor experience right now. Their bathroom is right inside so no need to walk through the entire place. Our waitress was fantastic wearing a mask and gloves at all times. Such a delightful personality. They also have bug spray and sanitizer stations off to the side for those wanting. I had the cider and beer #2 both excellent. The beer was a nice white Belgian style brew. Dogs allowed.
