3 more months have passed. No updates to the furniture which continue to flake and fall apart. I want to bring friends here so badly but jeezus.

Love the food and drinks. Staff is very friendly and service is quick too. Very nice and cozy place to sit and work or hangout with friends. Highly recommended

Love a good house-made syrup cafe!!!! This place is so cute and their coffee is delish. They had fun things to order on the menu and cool latte flavors. I ordered the vanilla latte and my sister got the brown sugar latte. Both 10/10 they also had grab and go items as well.

Wow! The BEST BLT and seasoned fries. Lots of meat and served on focaccia bread which I've never seen before. Delicious! The date latte was nice, I personally couldn't taste it but I am not a coffee drinker so that's probably why. The service was excellent! The co-working was as well! He took time to explain what things were in the continental curio. I'd definitely return and do highly recommend. Go, enjoy!!!

The service here was great and very quick. This was one of the best London fogs I've ever had. The flavor was so rich and creamy. And you could see the seasonings and lavender flowers on top. The only thing I didn't like was that this place was kind of dirty even after arriving in the morning. The seating and everything was very beat up. I even saw a panel come off of a seating area while here. And the furniture in general seemed beat up and dirty. This place could easily be 5 stars if those things were addressed.

Good, sometimes crowded, neighborhood halal coffee shop. Their espresso beverages, like their habibi latte, are excellent and served quickly to guests. The baked goods and their breakfast menu are imaginative and have great options. The breakfast burrito is filling. I don't know if their price points are optimal for the type of food served. Plenty of bike riders and other guests come by the shop during the weekends. Also, this place is a first date kind of place, too.

Recommended by my friend who's a regular here! Though limited parking, a spacious coffee shop! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for grabbing a quick coffee, doing work, or hanging out with friends/family. They have a pretty large menu of drinks and food items. We tried the specials, the Habibi Latte and Campfire Latte. The Habibi Latte reminds me of the House Latte at Tatte Bakery because of the cardamom, pretty good! I really liked the Campfire latte, which was essentially a mocha, and it came with a torched marshmellow and graham cracker :) Would definitely come back to try their food and other drinks!

I'd definitely return to this coffee shop! I ordered a speciality latte, which was on the pricier side at $11.50, but it was really good! First time trying pistachio milk which I thought was a cool offering. I also got the chicken Caesar sandwich and fries, very yummy! Inside the cafe is large, so there's plenty of seating to stay and get work done as well. And I have to shoutout the staff! The barista offered us a free pastry when we mentioned it was our first time visiting. He definitely didn't have to do that but it immediately made me want to return and continue supporting this business! Outside there are parking spots but they were full so I paid to park a few streets over via Park Mobile and walked.

WOW! Such a great spot. SO much seating and has such a cool vibe. Some parking out front too. Delicious food, I was so impressed for a coffee shop. They had a really diverse menu that everyone in the group will be bound to find something they like. Food came out hot and delicious. serving sizes were really generous. Coffee drinks were all delicious too! Campfire latte had really fun garnishes and the habibi latte was absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend. You order at the register so just know it's not full service restaurant, but it's worth it

Seeing detour coffee underneath Darna brought back so many memories from darna days. Aaah good times! Anyways back to detour coffee - the cute little Palestinian cafe that offers unique coffee flavors with a middle-eastern twist like the habibi latte made with walnut & date oat milk and the dubai chocolate latte which i will most def get next time because stealing just two sips off my hubs did not do the trick. It was delightful and just the right amount of rich and sweet. We opted for the breakfast burrito filled with Lebanese sausage, veggies, eggs and a bunch of other deliciousness. We also got the sandwich steak lines and that ended up being my favorite - the shredded steak was seasoned with aromatic spices and tasted delicious. I also tasted the maamoul (Palestinian date biscuit) but the sweetness level was soo subtle that it almost came off too plain. It was buttery but could have been sweeter. We'll surely be back to taste and try more drinks.

This is my new favorite coffee shop! The food is sooo good! I love going with my girlfriends because it never disappoints. The coffee is amazing, especially if you don't like when your coffee is too sweet. Everything is flavorful and service is always on point. It does get busy, but the outdoor seating helps especially wish small parties

Came on a weekday for lunch and it has everything you need! WiFi worked really well, plenty of seats inside and outdoors on the patio. Got the turkey sandwich, fries were delicious. Great drink selection as well!

I still love this coffee shop, but just a heads up! parking is absolutely horrible. They have about 6 spots out front but they share a lot with other businesses. I parked across the street one time for a few hours & my car got towed. Weekdays & early on the weekends are best for parking

I must say Tupelo Honey Is such a beautifully crafted place that pulls you out of the everyday hustle and bustle and places you within the southern comfort and warmth that oozes through the ambiance with smiles when they great you. It's natural unforced southern hospitality from A-Z. Also of note If you're able to please ask for the (Chef's Table) and thank me later! There is plenty of seating for all party sizes. We were quickly seated and the waitress almost took so long to come we almost left. We ended up ordering the French toast along with the classic chicken and waffles. Our food arrived and of course no syrup came. By the time the syrup arrived the waffle was now like warm and my 3 toddler sized/ seasonless, bland chicken strips were finished. The waffle was ok. The two slices of French toast were ok. A side would have been nice. Overall this was a one and done for me. The food wasn't good and the service was lacking.

When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off
