Caldo de res. Whenever I see this on the menu I have to try it. So I have had some really good ones in my lifetime. From allover. Theirs is in my top 2. We wanted some "not fast food" Mexican cuisine tonight and pleased with our meals. Fiancé got the Birria tacos and I got Lengua tacos. Dinners come with 3 tacos. They came with melt in your mouth rice and very tasty refried beans and cheese. My fiancé loved the meat in the tacos, but thought the shells would be crispy and fried like the menu pic. She forgot to ask if they were when ordering, so it was a bit of a letdown for her. She was also a tad bummed there was no chips and salsa, as the menu stated it came with dinners. Still got 4 stars because food was hot and fresh and the Lengua was fantastic!! We definitely want to try more of the offerings. read more

Husband and I stopped here for lunch. He has been several times but I have never been. Waitress was very quick to get to us and brought chips and salsa, which I loved. I ordered the fajita salad and it was unbelievable good. I wasn't too sure about it having mushrooms on it but they were really good on it. Husband got their chicken flautas and they were really big and husband said they were good as well. I recommend giving them a try. read more

We ordered the Especial #2 and got chicken tacos instead of beef. I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars for quality of food, and 5 stars for the bang for our buck. The amount of guac we received for the price was incomparable to other Mexican restaurants. The salsa is sweet & flavorful, and you can't go wrong with the crunchy corn taco shells!! I didn't wanna give this place a chance, being that I'm still salty about New Mexico closing up shop, and there's no way it could match its awesomeness. It's been a few years so I gave it a go. I'll say the food is pretty decent. Not as good as Nee Mexico was, but pretty good. We ordered the same dishes we ordered when it was NM, and they came pretty close. Everything was just a bit off. The enchiladas texture was different. The Mexican sandwich was way different. The choriqueso has something different I couldn't quite put my finger on. The salsas tasted different. Horchata was good tho. Judging this place alone and not on comparison, I'd give it a good 3 stars. You wouldn't be hard pressed to eat a good meal here. read more

We had to go to this place as an alternative. The one that was recommended unfortunately lost power. So we ended up here. First the salsa- bland with absolute no taste. The chips served with them were nice and crispy. As far as authenticity this is not the place. The rice was ok, not seasoned well for a Spanish rice. The beans were good. I ordered birria tacos and who knew you can mess up tacos but this restaurant did it. It was burnt to hell- no cheese just meat. About 99 percent of the time they always have cheese. Safe to say because it was so burnt I didn't eat that. If you just want beans and tortilla chips this is your place. Oh the horchata was delicious. But skip this place read more

He slammed that thing, so it must have been good. We both finished our plates. He got the taquitos. He like it. I got the combo platter. I loved it. Let's break that platter down. 1) Rice and Beans - both fresh and flavorful. The beans had the perfect texture. 2) Totada - That thing was nice man. It had to have weighed like half a pound. Very yummy, especially with salsa on it. 3) Taco - It was alright. The beef was kinda bland-ish, but it was edible. 4) Cheese Enchilladas - Loved them. Perfect ammount of filling. Flavorful. What a fantastic little experience. This place has amazing, authentic Mexican food, that tasted the delicious! I ordered the quesadillas and my wife ordered a burrito. My quesadilla was great and my wife LOVED her burrito. Both dishes came with Mexican rice and refried beans, and both the rice and beans were probably some of the best we have ever had! I was invited to meet a group of old friends here on a Friday ( 5pm ) I was pleased to see it wasn't packed full of people, ( no booze ) it was perfect! The sever was patient ( our party was missing a couple peeps, we waited to order ) I ate my fill of great chips and hot sauce plus good salsa before I ordered the fajitas combo ( chicken, steak n big shrimp ) flour tortillas on point, she asked if I wanted cheese on it, I asked what kind? I ordered the other day and picked it up on my way home. I got the a fajita salad with out the shell, a side of chip and salsa. When I got there I decided to add the Mexican street corn ( it was a special). Everything was very good. Loved the street corn. They did forget to give me the lettuce with my salad. . I was very skeptical to come here since I've had my fair share of bad Mexican restaurants. I loved the place when it was New Mexico. My wife and I decided to give this place a try to see how different it was. I was glad to say they met my expectations and the food was fantastic. i would even go so far as to saying it was better than New Mexico. I had the Fajitas Nortenas and my wife had burritos. The food came out hot and was absolutely delicious. I am so glad we gave them a shot. We will definitely be back again. Just an update. Went to this restaurant again yesterday.
