Tried the Texas Twinkie breakfast burrito during brunch (asked for it without the BBQ sauce). I ordered online and it did take about an hour, which wasn't provided as an estimate until after submitting my order. They said it was due to the grill being backed up, but to their credit, it was ready right when I arrived and tasted fresh. The burrito itself was really solid. The grilled cheese crust on the outside was a nice touch, but what stood out even more was the underside--it had this flaky, crispy texture that made every bite satisfying. Flavor-wise, the bacon definitely carried the dish with a great smoky taste, and you'd occasionally get a nice kick from the jalapeño. The eggs were there, but I didn't notice many had brown potatoes. The few that were in there had that slightly chewy/hard/gummy texture you get from like next-day reheated hash browns, so I'm not sure what was going on there. Fresh, crispy potatoes or even their fresh fries would have taken this to the next level. Overall though, really good burrito with great texture and strong smoky flavor--just a couple tweaks away from being excellent! Also got 5 wings to try, with Carolina Gold sauce. I had no idea this little gem has been around for 4 years; I wish I had known sooner! The gal behind the counter knows her stuff re the menu. She did not steer us first-timers wrong. The brisket sandwich was exceptionally tender, and the pieces were a generous size. The Whiskey River smash burger was one of the best smash burgers I have ever had. The mac and cheese and good, and the BBQ baked beans had a new twist for me, which had ground beef in it. The peach cobbler cheesecake was good but it would have been amazing if it had less crumb topping or more peaches. I can't wait to return. read more

Great bbq! Small locations but big picnic tables to seat with friends and family, and the cashier/server was very friendly and informative at picking from some many good options. Did the 3x3 - highly recommend for two, unless you have a big appetite. Great option for the undecided as well This allows you to pick three meat (note: upcharges on brisket and/or ribs) and three sides. There are limited options on drinks, available is local cola brand/flavor and Pure Leaf Tea (both sweet or unsweetened). I was in the area and really wanted some ribs. Not the standard, but some smoked ribs. Made the drive to Full Rack and knew I was in the right place as I smelled the aroma of a smoker before entering. Parking was easy as they are in a strip. The staff has always been pleasant. The options were plenty. They do a vote via text for a weekly special which is cool. I have tried the pork rib and beef rib specials which did not disappoint. They also have a reward program that you can earn discounts with. I've gotten a few in the last few months. If driving far then it's worth trying a variety of things. Things I've enjoyed: key lime bar, slab of ribs, baked beans which are made with beef, chicken, & beef ribs. Brisket was good but too much fat for me to try again. Updating my review after a large carry out order for a midday family birthday lunch for my father. First, I called to place the order which was fairly large. The lady who took the order was friendly and precise. In the past when placing large orders at other restaurants, I've felt like they act inconvenienced. The lady on who took my order was very helpful and patient. Another bonus, everything was correct. Also, it was ready at the time quoted. We got ribs, a couple burgers, Mac and cheese, brisket, beans, fries, coleslaw. Everything was delicious and fresh. For the price, we had a ton of food of great quality. read more

Stopped here back in May but I forgot to post. Service was excellent. Just a small place with a few tables but mostly carry out. We tried a couple things, the meats were excellent. The Mac and cheese was just okay but maybe we got it on an off day. Cornbread was on the drier side, which I don't prefer but I know some do. This place is a solid five out of five stars easily one of my favorite restaurants. I've been coming here since they first opened and haven't stopped; this review is long overdue. The staff is outstanding everyone is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely great at what they do. The food is top-notch, offering high-quality BBQ at fair and reasonable prices. My personal favorite is the smash burgers, but everything I've tried has been consistently excellent. This review is for the food truck that was at the St Clair Shores Farmers Market July 11th. An excellent sandwich from the food truck!! We both got the brisket sandwich with pickets and cole slaw. Gotta admit...very little Cole slaw. Barely a spoon full...I guess I thought it would be a side. But the sandwich was excellent...the meat is perfect. A nice bun. They have BBQ sauce in a squeeze bottle if you want more. I loved the Mac and Cheese. Very VERY cheesy with a good rich flavor. It's a food truck so the atmosphere is food truck! I am very disappointed and won't be coming back. I ordered an extra cup of bbq sauce which opened up in the bag and ruined most of the food. I attempted to eat two pieces of the burnt ends, mind you they were drowned in the bbq sauce, and they were horrible. Full Rack has really upped its game since its opening. It gets most of its business from carry out, but there are 3 tables available for dine in. All of the food on the barbecue menu here is consistent. The "stay smoked" is the way to go if you're a barbecue lover. The smash burger is locally one of the best around. The prime rib sandwich, which is a December special, is delicious. Regardless of which main course you choose, the French fries, mac & cheese, and smoked beans are all top notch sides. When you walk into this pick-up joint the smokiness hits you full on in the olfactory memories of family BBQs in the park. I had the 2+2 (puck two meats and two sides) - ribs and pulled pork. My sides were mac and cheese and green beans. The meat was succulent, perfectly smoked, dry rub style, and honestly rivaled some of my favorite places in the city. Sauce I chose was Carolina Gold, and a bit sweeter than I prefer, but it had that thick gooey glaze-like consistency that clings properly to its target! Sides were also extra yum. They aren't dialing it in here, folks! Mac and cheese was not the cheese powder type so common at places that otherwise have fine mains, but had a sharper flavor, lighter color, and some added spices that gave it a little more personality. The green beans were absolutely top shelf, seasoned with some smokey bits of meat and the perfect hint of heat - not so hot that you need to recover, but definitely a full-mouth pepper sensation that pleasantly lingered. Me likey!!!! I will order a giant order of just these green beans alone in the near future. I'm a fan! Can't wait to try brisket next. And gotta try summa that coleslaw and cornbread! You can tell from the smell in the parking lot that youre in for good eating. Ordered the full rack with two full mac n cheeses for 36 dollars and the service was spot on. I really wanted to give this place 4 to 5 stars just or the quality of food alone, but employee Hayden is not only is extremely rude and unprofessional over the phone, he talk's like a character from 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure'- an old movie from back in the day where vocab is limited to words like 'dude' or 'come on man' which seems to comprise about 50% of his vocab. In summary, the owner (who I've spoken to over the phone a few times when we've visited Michigan) is professional, and inviting to talk to, whereas Hayden seems short tempered and an absolute fail when it come to handling pressure let alone interacting with customers- we'll go back there when Hayden moves on to his next 9-5 gig....SMH read more

Full Rack BBQ is new in the area and I've ordered carry out from there a couple of times now. The interior is cute, picnic tables with table clothes and sauce on the table. Their menu is a decent size; not too many items but it covers almost everything you'd want to order at a bbq place. I just wish they had more sides. The first time I ordered, I got a 1/2 lb of brisket, a piece of corn bread and Mac & cheese. The brisket was smoked nicely and wasn't dry - it passed the fold over rest without breaking. The Mac n cheese was pretty good; it tastes like Kraft Mac & cheese but with seasoning/spices added (kind of tasted like Montreal steak seasoning to me). The cornbread was good but very tiny so don't just order one piece if you want it. The second time, I ordered a half rack of ribs and a brownie. The ribs were smoked nicely and were tender and delicious. They were kind of peppery though so if you don't like pepper, you might not be into their spice rub. The brownie was awesome; super chocolaty, fudgy and delicious. Both times I ordered the quality of the meat was excellent. Both times, I wished they had a sweeter version of bbq sauce available. What they have is a vinegar based sauce and it's pretty strong on the vinegar flavor. I used my own sauce at home (sweet baby rays) instead and was happy because for me, I liked it with the pepper on the ribs. Solid addition to the neighborhood, will definitely return. read more
