The car was running fine and no warning lights were on. After they repaired the air conditioner, two miles from the shop, the check engine light started flashing. They said it was safe to drive, and to bring it back in. It isn't ok to drive a car that is misfiring, so I had it towed to the shop. They then said it needed a new knock sensor $90 and replaced that. Then all sorts of warning lights started flashing and they said it needed a new ABS Pump & Module $1289. At this point we were hamstrung and reluctantly agreed. Roughly $3500 later, on the way home again the airbag light went on and the fasten seat belt light started flashing. At this point I wouldn't trust them to open the car door, let alone attempt to fix anything ever again. Lesson learned, don't take your car to Mangols.

I decided to wait on the repair as I considered how to pay for it. After a couple of days spent pondering what to do, I decided to get some other repair quotes for comparison. My first stop was at Rick Yusi Automotive, who was referred to me by a friend plus their reviews were impressive. Not only was the repair quote less than half the cost of the original quote, but they did an amazing job replacing these critical safety parts. Additionally, while researching a check engine light warning, they discovered my gas cap was defective. Rocky called to tell me it might be the reason for the warning and asked if I wanted him to replace it. I told him to replace the gas cap and sure enough, no more check engine light. I expected that it would be an overnight turn around for the repair, given how busy they were, but imagine my surprise after dropping my car off in the morning to receive a call that it was finished by early afternoon. It's very hard to find service like this at such a great price. This will definitely be my new auto repair shop. I highly recommend Rick Yusi Automative for any and all repairs! They Rock!!
