I had surgery on January 20th with Dr. Deuk. I had 2 herniated discs (c5-c6 & c6-c7) that Dr. Deuk performed surgery on. I've been in pain for the last 7 months suffering from headaches that turned into migraines, numbness in my hands that caused me to make complete change of life style and quit my job. Today, I'm pain free and on the road to recovery! The team at Deuk Spinal Center were incredibly kind and so helpful. Dr. Deuk's free online consultation was informative and gave me a second opinion if I should go under the knife. It urns out now to be a knife, but rather a laser with a 4mm incision. C6-C7 herniated disk and I am trying steroids, anti-inflammatories, and something that tells my brain the nerve does not hurt. I will try this along with physical therapy for awhile to see if it helps. If it still hurts or gets worse, I would gladly have Dr. Deuk do my surgery. It was nice of him to take the time to meet with me and review my MRI. read more

I liked Dr Deuk but I was expecting more. I have: "Multilevel cervical spondylosis with severe foraminal stenosis and nerve root impingement, plus mild-to-moderate cervical spinal stenosis." The only thing he spoke with me was about my c5 to c7. All others problems was not addressed, like the anterolistese C3-C4 which is extremely important to check. I think for someone like me he isn't an option. If I had less problems he certainly could be my doctor.​ read more

Dr. DEUK caused permanent spinal cord injury that ruined my life. After which, he accuse me of lying about my pain in order to get disability. When in fact, I had to go through an extensive second surgery in an effort to correct some of the damage caused by my first surgery. I'm permanently disabled, and in constant pain. I had pain on my right side and a feeling of some instability with my right leg. I had sharp stabbing pain when getting in and out of a car, doing basic housekeeping like running a vacuum cleaner, loading a dishwasher, or even pushing a shopping cart. My right-sided pain would immediately occur whenever I carried an item (even my purse) in either hand, from the imbalance of weight. My pain also reared its ugly head going up and downstairs, to the point of putting things to go downstairs next to the steps so my husband could take them down. If it was necessary to use the stairs, I would wait until the end of the day because I knew that one or two trips down and up the steps would bring the pain on and ruin any other activities I had planned for that day. Standing/walking/sitting too long would bring on the pain. ...The pain would radiate into my groin, hips, back of the thighs, and occasionally down to my right foot. Also, my sleep was terrible because pain kept me flipping side to side, and even lying flat on my back. I tried a pillow under my knees, and between my legs when trying to sleep on either side. I never felt rested and it was taking a toll on my body, since sleep is the time when your body heals. The lack of sleep would also make me less of a patient person...not a good thing when you're married! ...I had the 'very fast' SI Joint Deuk Plasma Rhizotomy treatment, and it brought immediate relief! I literally skipped to my post-op exam room (at 67 years old!). I highly recommend Deuk Spine Center for anyone with 'any' back pain. I was told by several orthopedic surgeons I needed a fusion on my L4,L5,L5 S1 Well after my zoom consultation with Dr Deuk he assured me I didn't need a fusion and he would fix me. I personally spoke with him also about my neck issues and Mr Deuk true to self recommended a procedure that did not address the core issue... I got thee more opinions and ended up getting the proper surgery I needed which was a C2-T2 cervical/thoracic fusion. Just get multiple Drs to look at your films and off the record ask about other Drs reviews... The consensus is clear... Dr. Deuk and his entire team were exceptional. I came to him with extreme lower back pain and severe shooting pain down both legs. After submitting my MRI through his website, I had an initial consultation just two days later. During that consult, Dr. Deuk was completely professional, thorough, and able to quickly and accurately diagnose multiple issues. Surgery was scheduled within two weeks of that first consultation, and the results were remarkable. The procedure was a complete success, and I was essentially recovered--aside from a restriction of not lifting more than 40 pounds for a year--before I could even get in to see my second-choice neurosurgeon. That provider wouldn't have been able to see me for a consultation until seven weeks after I initially called. I've read some Yelp reviews claiming Dr. Deuk is inconsiderate to his staff or rude to patients. That was absolutely not my experience. before going into any type of neck surgery, you must check with Dr. Duke. I went to Dr Deuk in August 2023 from Australia because I had a lot of pain in my neck but also some in my back. He promised me that I would be pain free. I have audio to prove it. This is what he did: Deuk Laser Disc Repair C5-C6, C6-C7 Deuk Plasma Rhizotomy C5-C6, C6-C7, C7-T1; RT L4-L5, L5-S1; BL SI Joints When I woke up on 08/29/23 from the surgery I developed a dropped head syndrome and massive lumps in the back of my neck. Before surgery I could keep a horizontal gaze, keep my head erect but now my head is forward. My neck extensors, trap muscles are weak. I was charged $72k USD to be totally messed up. The surgery was a total failure. When I got back on 09/06/23 September I had another MRI that showed paraspinal muscles damage post surgery. It's been 6 months since the surgeries but I am worse off than before. I have constant stinging, debilitating pain in my neck 24/7. The pain travels to my lower back, legs and feet. Pins and needles, extreme tighness, horrible cramps in my neck, traps, shoulders, shoulder blades. arms, hands, fingers, back, groin, legs, feet and toes. As of a few months ago my right side of my neck has become symptomatic because I believe that decompressing of an already thin and dessicated disc could have compromised the stability of my cervical spine. Now I only have 10 degrees of head tilt back and35-40 degrees left/right rotation whereas before surgery it was normal. I have to take opioids and neuropathic medicines to manage the pain somewhat. I wish that I never went to see him. I would have been better off without surgery but I was desperate to get pain relief that never came. I also suffer from major depression as a result of my constant pain. This surgeon's agenda is to push surgeries to make a lot of money from people that have been suffering with a lot of pain. I was convinced by his YouTube testimonials which sounded positive. I now believe that they pay actors to make surgery convincing for people with neck and back pain. I have checked online and found that he has had some legal cases against him in the past. I wish I knew before. Stay away from this bloke and his business partner Dr. Patel. I had Disk repairs on L3-4, 4-5 & 5-S1 along with a Piriformis release. I did not need ANY pain Medications after my Surgery, there was minor soreness from the Piriformis release.
