I wish more stars were available to give these guys. There's a reason that I'm willing to drive in from out of state to bring my car here. I've come to DAP for tire mounting, turbo replacement, random engine lights, etc. Every time, they go through the car thoroughly take pictures, take notes before sending to me for repair approval. They've taken plenty of time to work with my (very slow to approve) insurance company. Lee even had to stay late with them on the phone to get the repair completed when I was on a tight deadline. They didn't have to do that. They're experts on European import cars and I don't have to worry when I drop it off that some problem is going to stump them, as I've had happen with other mechanics. If i could give less i would. I ordered a steel oil pan kit for my 2017 golf sportwagen. Immediately on arrival, I noted that one of the studs for the oil pressure sensor was slightly angled, but due to the nature of my vehicle leaking from the oil pan, I did not ask for a replacement as the repair was urgent. When I went to install the pan, the bolt was halfway down the stud and the stud completely broke. The bolt wasn't even anywhere near flush with the oilpan. I emailed the company, they took a long time to reply, and when they did, they obviously did not even read my complaint, immediately telling me that I overtorqued the bolt and they would not be refunding me. I didnt even get a chance to torque the bolt. The fact that they did not take the time to READ and ask questions or even attempt to understand the issue, confirms they are preying on the consumer. Shame on them. My car is now leaking oil once again due to their poorly made product and they are refusing to take responsibility for it. Upon doing the research I should've done prior to making the purchase, I found multiple reviews of the same stud snapping, some of these reviews dating back years. Not a new problem, and they obviously have not made an attempt to fix the existing issue. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this DISHONEST company who doesn't take the time to actually read and understand the issue, rather they glaze over and assume. This is ridiculous considering i now have to fight to have my money returned as well as having to redo the job so my car isnt leaking oil. My credit card company is aware of the details. I cant beleive they advertise this as a "quality" part. read more

Dealing with DAP has been super annoying, I created an order and didn't have an account created at the time of placing my order and was told that I would not be able to link my order to an account to the same email address that the order was place and subsequently had no way of tracking or modifying my order. Additionally, when my order was received at their warehouse I was informed that my order was flagged as shipping method "for pickup" even though I live all the way across the country. I ordered $2700 worth of parts from these guys (pp brake kit). The way they sent the items was like a 4 year old packed it. These dummies seriously stuffed about 150lbs worth of items into a cardboard box and thought that would suffice. Well....by the time the box got to me it was in the shape of a ball. All my brand new brake parts were scattered in the box banging on each other and scratched the crap out of my new rotors and calipers. I sent them an email about what happened and they never responded back. They just want your money and don't give a sh*t about anything else. Don't buy parts from these guys. read more

Ordered a water pump and thermostat housing to replace a leaking one on my 2015 Passat 1.8L. Part arrived, my buddy and I swapped it out after watching Paul's YouTube video. Everything went well, ( had to buy a few specialized tools.) However, could not get coolant to circulate, even after calling DAP for advice. Ended up towing the vehicle to their shop so that they could look at it. They tried a couple of things, but it turns out that I was shipped the wrong thermostat housing, and, they discovered that they had the wrong part listed in their computer. The solution: They obtained the correct part and repaired my vehicle at no charge to me. Great shop and Great folks to work with...Matt, service writer, was especially helpful. read more

I had a bent wheel and took it to Keffer VW and they told me it was my entire suspension system busted. Took it to DAP and they recommended an aluminum wheel specialist who fixed our issue.
