While visiting Bakersfield, my siblings and I decided to hang out at Valley Plaza Mall and grab a bite before continuing our shopping adventure. My brother recommended Devil & Angel Desserts, so I figured why not give it a try! This was actually my very first time trying a Korean corn dog, and after my brother ordered one, I immediately copied him lol. He went for the Hot Cheeto-covered mozzarella corn dog, while I chose the potato corn dog with half mozzarella and half sausage. Honestly, I was sooo happy with my choice! The potatoes on the outside were perfectly crispy, nicely salted, and super satisfying. It definitely filled me up, and I ended up liking it way more than I expected. I also really liked how modern and convenient the self-service ordering screens were, and both of our orders came out surprisingly fast. The shop itself is super cute, the prices were decent, and they have such a fun variety of treats to choose from. I normally don't eat at the mall but my niece and I decided to walk the mall on Saturday, May 24, 2025, late afternoon. So I saw Angel N Devil had Tanghulu and I've been wanting to try it. Unsure of what to order, I asked the cashier for her recommendations. She recommended the strawberry and grape tanghulu. The fruit was sweet and fresh and the candy coating was thin and crisp. So delicious. I could have eaten two fruit skewers. Although the grape/strawberry combo was good, I would go with all strawberries next time. I highly recommend this item. My niece wanted the pistachio and chocolate strawberries. This was a complete disappointment and would not recommend nor would I order again. The chocolate was so thick and low quality pistachio cream. I recommend this item at Blue Fig Farms..the very best Dubai strawberries I also ordered a Korean corn dog with potatoes. I ordered the half cheese and half meat. It was delicious and the cheese was super stretchy. I would order again. I ordered the Mango Peach Tea Refresher. So delicious and would order again. Overall we were satisfied with everything except the pistachio/chocolate strawberries. The price was around $33, a bit expensive but expected. Give them a try next time you're at the Valley Plaza. read more

This was my first time ordering a corndog from Devil & Angel Desserts. It's just another option in the mall food court, so there's not much to say about the service or ambiance. The one star is strictly for the corndog. It wasn't really worth the price for me. Sugar, mustard, and ketchup aren't really standard toppings here. You can select up to two and additional toppings are an extra $0.25. The sugar is so lightly sprinkled that I thought they had forgotten to even put any on. The mozzarella cheese is stretchy and the hotdog is like any other. The batter was fried well and had a good crunch, but altogether it lacks flavor. Mixed feelings after the first visit. I've seen this place and been meaning to try it so when I had to stop by the mall to have a chain repaired at the jeweler I decided to give it a go. The Vietnamese coffee milk tea was delicious. The coffee really cut through nicely but was tamed a bit by the milk, the boba was tasty it just hit on all points for me. The Korean corn dog was a bit of a miss. I tried it with the hot Cheetos. My first issue is I paid for a side sauce and they forgot it which I didn't realize until it was too late. Then the corn dog it self wasn't coated well, compared to other places in town the coating was patchy in spots and fell off really easily. It didn't taste much of the hot Cheeto either, I got more sweetness from the breading than I did anything else, just wasn't quite what I was hoping for. It wasn't a bad experience, I really want to come back and try the candied fruit so we'll see how the next visit goes. read more

This dessert shop is located in the food court of valley plaza mall. I tried the sunset galaxy drink, me and my son loved it! The combination of flavors and the jelly inside were perfect. I just wish it was alil colder and less concentrated. They also have korean corn dog and other cool desserts to try! Service was fast too. I have been looking forward to visit since they opened and I couldn't wait to get the Korean corn dogs. So we decided to go on our lunch break and check it out. I liked the potato one, but the hot Cheetos one wasn't for me, hot Cheetos dust everywhere on every bite and I don't know if it was just me, but it didn't taste like hot Cheetos to me. I believe you should try it for your own opinion. I've had Korean corn dogs at other places and this one was super greasy. I don't see myself going out of my way to grab Korean corn dogs here, but I would definitely like to try it again to see if it was just that one time. Staff was okay. The lady at the counter was informative but she didn't look like she wanted to be there. This place wasn't busy at all, when we went there was no line, but then again we went during lunch during the week. I can only imagine it's busier on the weekends or the evenings. I haven't been to the food court in so long and so when I saw Devil & Angel Desserts sell boba, I was already sold! They also sold korean corndogs with a variety of toppings to choose from. The service was also fast considering the line of people in front of us! For boba drinks, we got: Horchata smoothie, Cookies n Cream smoothie, Vietnamese coffee, Sunset Galaxy, and Blue Lagoon. For the korean corndog, we got the C5 (mozarella stick with hot cheeto topping and drizzle of honey mustard and sweet chili on top). All were so good. The boba drinks were all a 5/5 and the boba balls tasted really fresh themselves!! The korean corndog was big and the cheese pull was there! BOBA. If boba is what you mainly sell I would hope that it's a least fresh and good. Personally I hate when the boba balls feel as if they were left overnight and they turn hard. Most if not all of them weren't even chewy just hard and that was very disappointing considering it was 6.50... and it's $1.00 more to change to oat milk. But it was very sweet and I personally enjoy my drinks sweet but there should be an option to change it. There was only one worker in the front handling making drinks and taking orders so it took some time for the drinks to come out. When asked for it to be remade cashier got aggressive saying I wouldn't be able to have it made the way I want(with no sauce). That they've never made it custom. I ordered a strawberry yogurt smoothie along with a churro flavored mochi donut! I did not know the drinks automatically came with boba so I had to interrupt the person working on drinks to inform them no boba for my drink. Thankfully he hasnt started on it yet so he was really kind on that slight last minute adjustment to the order. Anyways I enjoyed both the drink and the donut! I have not tried mochi donuts previously so these donuts were perfect for a first-timer like me. They had the 3+1 going on so I had the fresh strawberry, cookie monster, ube, and churro as my +1 donut. I gave away the churro mochi donut so I am not quite sure how it was but I was able to taste all the rest. I love the chewy texture the donuts had and they were all delightfully flavored. I could not really distinguish each flavor from one another if I had blindfold on but they were all delicious and went well with my coffee. I haven't had the chance to try their drinks or other desserts but I am glad they have this place at the mall, conveniently located at the food courts. read more

I can't exactly comment on the service because I used the kiosk to order. You can order with a person or use the kiosk to the right of the order window. It's a little confusing because the kiosk to order from is underneath the pick up side of the window. However the corndogs I ordered were very tasty. I have no complaints on the actual food. The mustard and ketchup ratio on the dog wasn't overwhelming. The potato was cooked well to where it was just the right amount of crunch. On both corndogs I bought the half sausage half cheese. I paid about 13$ for both and decided against sauces on the blue takis dog. The takis were not stale or anything so the flavor of the takis on the dog went together well. read more

It's u fortunate they no longer serve ice cream as it's probably the first thing that attracted me to go. Their corn dogs are good but they are a bit skimpy with the sauces. Most places you get a side of it and here you just get whatever they drizzle on for you. The boba is also below average. I liked the brown sugar topping but the boba was so inconsistent. Some were okay and some were almost not cooked well. Have yet to try the donuts or candied fruits but overall it's just pretty average or slightly below from what I've experienced. I have had the Korean dog twice now and I really enjoyed it both times as the cheese is gooey and the potato topping is never burnt and just an enough amount of crisp. The Tai tea and Taro tea are good. For someone that doesn't like boba, there's has some flavor and is easy to chew. My friend and I have been planning to try this spot out and it did not disappoint! We tried the Passionfruit Mojito, Blue Lagoon, and Sunset Galaxy refreshers and they were all tasty (the passionfruit mojito were our faves tho)! We also tried the Hot Cheeto Rice Dog and that was also a 10/10 that we got another before we left the mall LOL. The Affogato was also so delicious, the soft serve ice cream was creamy and had a smooth texture. Service was amazing; the staff was polite and our orders came out in a reasonable time. Instead of calling our order number once they had everything prepared, they would call out once our drinks were finished, then our affogato, then our rice dogs.
