Saw this place while shopping at Ross and decided to try it. I paid $7 for a cold hot Cheetos with cheese I won't return. No bueno

I feel like it has a little bit of everything: the brownie, ice cream, hot fudge and nuts. We love their hot fudge and always order and extra on the side. The staff is always so nice and welcoming (probably only had one server that seemed like he would rather be somewhere else but we have had bad days). This place kinda stinks though. A mixture of ice cream and hot fudge as well as a wet overused towel altogether. It's not too bad or too overwhelming that you wouldn't be able to eat but it's always the first thing I'd notice as soon as I walk in. Otherwise, the place is clean and organized.

The first time I visited was over 25yrs ago and it literally looks the same. One tip I have is that if you get the chili dog, that hotdog is big enough for 2 people, unless you have a huge appetite then I would suggest to have at it because the chili is pretty good. I remember bringing my boys when they were little. I love that this place is still here after all these years. This is definitely one of Bakersfield's gems! The menu is simple, but there's nothing simple about the ice cream menu. Make sure to get some of that caramel sauce, it's soooo good and nothing about it has changed over the years. The decoration inside is still cute, even though not much has changed, I don't think they need to change it since it's still a cute ice cream shop. Service depends on how busy it is. On our recent visit when we first arrived the gal was on it, but it started getting super busy quickly and I watched this girl wait on 5 tables at the same time, so she wasn't as quick as she was when we first arrived. Staff is really friendly and If you haven't had Rosemary's then you need to bring the kiddos and the family to check it out. There's parking in the back in case there's no parking up front.

I almost always get the same order every time. A large sundae with Reese's on the bottom, cookie dough on top, hot fudge, and almonds with a handful of peanut butter chews on the side. This location is a great place to stock up on chews as they can sell any amount of mix and match in bulk of whichever flavors you want... which is something anyone would know and is only a slight indicator of my obsession with their chews.. lol This location in particular is my favorite to visit. The interior is completely decorated with the classic ice cream parlor decor, complete with large circular booths inside as well as comfy chairs in the enclosed outdoor area by the cozy fire during winter. You might even be lucky enough to have a wild Chewy sighting, their mascot, at this location. lol What a local icon! This location also goes ALL OUT with Christmas decorations during the holiday season. I grabbed a few of their custom ornaments and soaked in the festive vibes. They also have solid sized water cups, which is a niche thing to appreciate, but it is most definitely appreciated. I would be remiss if I didn't give a proper shout out to the staff at this location. Their staff are some of the most kind and attentive you'll ever find. They want to see every guest have an amazing experience and it shows in the pride they take in their work as well as the care they show when interacting with each of their guests. Their impeccable customer service feels personal in a way where you can't help but feel a part of the Dewar's family. Special shout out to Ashley, Brooke, Joey, and Sieclenda for always being so amazing!

When I walked in, the place was spotless super clean and the ladies working the counter were really friendly. They had a huge selection of paletas different flavors with and without fruit in them de leche or agua. I decided to go with the Tamarindo with Chile and a Coco de leche. My wife had the mango con Chile that had real mango pieces in it . As soon as I bit into the coconut paleta I was in heaven.I shared the coconut one with my wife and she loved it as well. Next was the Tamarindo con Chile that brought back child hood memories of the hot summer days in the 805 when the paletero would pass by ringing the bells on the cart.I was about to leave and noticed the fresh fruit cups in the fridge, so I got one to go for lunch the next day. They definitely gained a new customer today, if your in the mood for some fresh fruit bars or craving the fresh fruit cups la Nueva Michoacana is the spot to go for those hot Bakersfield days, don't make the same mistake I did and sleep on this place. I took pics of the fruit bars after the fact so they're already being devoured!

They did have lots of options but no visible prices, strike 2. The items did look good and lots of fun options but looking at the actual food being delivered to customers I decided to pass. They have the dreaded tip option at check out-that I'm really just sick of seeing from places that aren't serving me anything and are just making people uncomfortable-Strike 3. Customer service was average to below average. My wife actually did like her raspado but said she definitely wouldn't return. My son ordered chocolate covered banana and he liked it but he pretty much likes anything sweet. Hate to give bad reviews to local businesses but there is just no reason for us to return or recommend this place!
