One of my favorite coffee shops! Quaint local and such a vibe. Their ham and Gruyère croissant is by far one of the best I've had in the CO, maybe ever (still need to make my way to France). Flakey and buttery and perfect! They have an incredible and vast bakery with so many unique options. A great spot to get a local gift as well. It's always packed and the line goes out the door but it's worth it and moves quickly. A must stop if you are in the south Gaylord neighborhood!

Returned to try a few more pastries and got the broccoli savory galette and mushroom chipotle danish. Both were 10/10 amazing! The mushrooms were roasted and seasoned perfectly in the danish, although it was a tad oily (I think due to the cheddar they used). The galette was unique and delicious. Super flaky pie crust and a very flavorful filling with large chunks of broccoli. The service was very quick and they had a large selection available even at 11:30 on a Sunday.

Stopped by here, my first time, after visiting the art walk today. I ordered a honey lavender latte with oat milk that was absolute perfection but what really had me in a chokehold was the almond croissant. Flaky, buttery crust with a warm gooey center of almond filling. I literally said out loud, if I ever go to Paris, this croissant will be what I compare a Paris croissant to. Best croissant I have ever eaten thus far! They bake their own pastry here so it's all fresh! I am obsessed with this place now and can't wait to go back!

The atmosphere was cute and staff was super friendly. My mocha was good but I was disappointed with the devils food Bundt cake. I was expecting it to be fantastic based on the name of this place! I want to come back and try the almond croissant after it received a glowing review from my friend who ordered it. Seating was pretty limited at 2:30pm on a Sunday, but we were able to find a tiny table.

Awesome neighborhood bakery in the wash Park area. Be prepared for a line on the weekends, but it moves quickly. Excellent pastries and coffees. It's attached to a very cute gift shop as well. So stop in there on your way out.

Last minute decided to stop by to avoid traffic, and I am so glad we did! This place is a great brunch spot. We got lucky and avoided the wait and dined at the bar. This place stayed busy! Nothing about the breakfast burrito stood out, except for the size was huge! Enough for 2 to 3 servings. It was good but I don't think it is something I would order again. I do, however, highly recommend the chicken and waffles. The chicken was tender and the gravy sauce was saucy and the flavor was spectacular (insert drooling emoji). Need a quick pick me up? Order the Cortado! Creamy yet strong and went down smooth :)

Since the pandemic, I discovered that things have changed with the set up and that the orders are placed outside at the side window - actually, I love this idea! While it worked just fine inside, albeit always a bit of a tight squeeze because they're just so darn popular!, this option was really convenient and works wonderfully. The line moves quickly, there are several seating areas outside (I think there was indoor available for after you picked up your order but, I did not confirm - it was such a beautiful day to be outside anyway! The menu is pretty much the basics and several syrup options - I don't need fancy, just good coffee. They're also super doggo friendly ~ two dogs in front of me with their owners together and one of those pups was clearly a regular based on how quickly he jumped up to the window to get his biscuit... and another.... and another... the final jump, I was sure he was going to get himself up and into the window lol! Pricing is reasonable for the inflation we are all feeling at this time, service is very friendly and fast, and my Chai Latte was perfect. I decided to add a touch of caramel that really took it up a notch - asked for a smidge and got a smidge! If you're in the area, check it out ~ it has a very cozy, neighborhood feel and there were clearly many regulars there but, they treat everyone like a neighbor - what more could you ask for?

You have to order outside at the window, even if you're planning on staying a while. This was a bummer for a few reasons. First, I could not see any of the food items and second, there were only to-go cups, a massive pet peeve of mine. Coffee was pricey for tasting mediocre. I had a hazelnut latte and the amount of cinnamon heaped on top was overwhelming and I couldn't really taste anything else. They have a ramp which was good so I could navigate my stroller inside. However, no changing table so I had to change my infant on a blanket on the floor (never a fun experience). There was also an unpleasant smell upon entering the shop. Small tables were scattered about and some had outlets for working. They had a little free library inside which I always love to see. Overall though, I was really disappointed and can't say I'd have a strong urge to return.

I grabbed a table on the small patio. Broadway was still relatively quiet, the shady side of the street providing relief from the strengthening summer Colorado sun. The weather was perfect, one of those Denver mornings that reminds you why you moved here and why others are still coming. At 8-something on a Saturday morning, that's prime urban coffee-drinking real estate. The coffee was good. My Americano with steamed almond milk was comfortably above chain coffee, but it doesn't quite reach the elite tier of Denver coffee roasting and brewing. No complaints, just my honest assessment. What Bardo does exceptionally well is atmosphere. The space is warm and lived-in: exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, booths that provide just enough privacy, and a long, narrow layout that creates an intimate, neighborhood feel. It's cozy without trying too hard. Outside, the patio consists of just a handful of sidewalk tables, offering a front-row seat to the neighborhood waking up. Located on the northern edge of Baker, where South Broadway's coffee shops, vintage stores, and eclectic energy give the neighborhood its distinctive character A mix of artists, students, remote workers, vintage shops, music venues, and old Denver character. Even at this hour, the place was full of the kind of people you'd expect in this stretch of Broadway. Saturday morning Broadway has always had that energy. People who seem to have nowhere urgent to be but somehow are already fully assembled by 8 AM. Tattoos. Bikes. Interesting glasses. People reading actual books instead of doomscrolling. Service was friendly and efficient. Nothing performative, nothing rushed. Bardo isn't trying to be the most polished coffee shop in Denver. It doesn't need to be. Its strength is that it's comfortable, local, and real. On a perfect Saturday morning, with good coffee, a shaded patio, and the city slowly coming to life around you, that's more than enough. A lot of happiness isn't fireworks. It's sitting in the shade on Broadway, watching the city wake up, and realizing you're glad to be there. Go for: The patio, neighborhood energy, and warm interior atmosphere. Skip if: You're searching for a transcendent coffee experience or the city's most ambitious espresso program. Best time to visit: Anytime, but early Saturday morning, before Broadway fully wakes up and the city still feels like it's stretching before the day begins is my favorite.

It was packed, every table, but one was full, and we were lucky enough to snag that. Even with a full house, the place was very quiet, people respected the "wfh coffee shop" culture, and did not seem to be talking loudly or taking meetings. The drinks were great, not too fancy, but my Matcha was yummy. We also tried a gluten-free zucchini bread and a lemon pound cake which really hit the spot. Prices are pretty fair, and I had no issue finding street parking even on Broadway, although I had a busier time of day, I can imagine it might be more difficult. I love that this place was open later and I would definitely come back I know people have different remarks about the Wi-Fi, the staff gave us extra Wi-Fi codes in case we ran out, yes, there is a timer and you have to make a purchase, but they are very chill about it and will give you a new code if you run out

I liked that the atmosphere struck a good balance between not being too quiet so it feels weird to talk and not being too loud where I'm feel like I'm yelling to my friend and can't hear her.
