So many trinkets and gifts to purchase, really tied into the area theme and made it feel complete to visit. Biggest tourist trap of all the traps around there. Prices were better across the street at the KOA gift shop and at Devils Tower Gulch at the top of the hill. Better choices at the other two places as well. Get you ice cream at the DT Gulch. read more

They also have t-shorts, souvenirs and etc. Also if you are into aliens this is definitely the place to visit. They have tons of alien items in this shop. Every single kind of Devils Tower memento that you can possibly imagine, from tshirts to hats to bells. Bumperstickers and magnets and models of the mountain (small, medium and large) and of course, postcards. No stamps today, though. For me, the winner was that they were offering a completely free wifi signal. So I sat at one of their benches, used up their wifi to find directions to my next stop, wrote my postcards and enjoyed a frosty beverage before getting back on my way. Plenty of parking and even room for the bigger vehicles. Clean bathroom and the prices are reasonable. While you can stay here and save the $11 or so for entering the park, it's worth the money to get right close to Devils Tower. Don't come all this way and miss the last mile. read more

This was a fun place to shop following our stop at Devil's Tower. We had an array of collectibles to choose from. It was a great place to rest, recoup, get food and recover before moving on to our next stop. The customer service was good and the store was fun! read more

Insane price gouging here even for simple things like water. Literally go anywhere else. They don't deserve business.

OK, there are two of these across from each other. Competition, the American way. Anyway, this is a store that sells a little of everything. They have a cooler with some drinks and milk. They have t-shirts of Devils Hole and other Wyoming sites. They have hats, baseball caps and cowboy hats. They sell postcards. Mugs, calendars, candy, pens, and more. I was here early and it was open, I found what I wanted, which was milk. And some postcards. The owner was really nice and open. Told me all about the area. How hard it was to find good help as well. No employment shortage here. But its pretty isolated, so not many people to choose from either I suppose. Id stop here again for sure if I was passing by. read more

It's an overpriced gift shop just outside Devil's Tower National Park. I would recommend stopping here after you go to the gift shop inside the park. We picked up several things at the park gift shop but stopped here because I still had my heart set on a t-shirt to commemorate the trip. I noticed in particular the same copy of the DVD of Close Encounters was $25 in the park and $50 at the Trading Post. So watch out for steep prices when you shop here! Overall, I wasn't pleased with their selection of t-shirts. They have a lot but the women's shirts tended to be too girly looking (can't girls have nice outdoorsy looking styles too?). The cashier that helped us was not particularly friendly or helpful. I ended up leaving generally disappointed with the whole place. There is also a small diner in the front of the shop that seemed to serve mostly fried food. If you forgot to pack a lunch for your trip to Devil's Tower this may end up being your only food option. read more

Watch out: prices here are astronomical. We stopped in for a bite to eat and to grab a drink from the cooler. The 'snack bar' meal we purchased consisting of two little cheeseburgers and a corn dog with a small soda was over $21. The bottled coffee drink from the soda cooler was $4. There are no prices marked, just signs everywhere warning that you'll be prosecuted for shoplifting. (In fact, there are threatening signs littering this entire place -- no picnics outside, no bathroom use unless you purchase something, etc, etc.) Unfortunately this is pretty much the only option for miles around the Devil's Tower area. It's a shame the owners take advantage of people for this reason. read more

I first learned about the Trading Post from their website http://www.devilstowertradingpost.com while planning our trip to see the tower. They conveniently sell almost everything they carry in their store online. The souvenir T-shirt I was looking for showed out of stock online (glad I checked first) so I requested a re-stock notification and received an immediate e-mail reply from Jim, the owner, that he had placed an order for more. A week later when we visited the store we met Jim who was very friendly and told us that unfortunately the order had not yet come in but he would e-mail as soon as it did. The Trading Post has the biggest selection of souvenirs and tourist memorabilia in the surrounding area. The other options being the KOA gift shop on the other side of the road which didn't have nearly as good of a selection, the park Visitors Center which has a limited selection of items, and the Devils Tower View diner about a mile away. You will find a variety of items here to satisfy your passion for the historic national monument, everything from postcards, books, apparel, and kitschy novelties, and yes, even collectible memorabilia from the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I picked up a vintage wax pack of unopened trading cards and I know I paid too much for them, but the point was that they were actually bought at the legendary monument made famous by the film so I didn't care. The trading post also has a snack bar that serves hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and chilled drinks if you just need some relief after hiking around the tower or for the road and has free wi-fi too which is great since mobile reception around the tower can be unreliable at most times. Be sure to make Devils Tower Trading Post a stop when you come to see the historic landmark. read more

You'll notice 95% of customers exit without buying a single thing. Also note, you can bring your dog inside if you CARRY it. So the options are leave your pet in your hot car or carry your gratedan....I'm not sure what the point of this stipulation is but it's really limiting for solo travelers and the well being of their pets. Thus far I've traveled across the country and back and this is the only gift shop, convenience store that implements this bizarre policy. I was looking forward to supporting local and stocking up at this location. You're better off going to the next stop and getting yourself warm hospitality and tasty ice cream there. read more

This is it, No other choices when it comes to hats and souvenirs. After visiting the devils tower I stopped in here for a souvenir and something cold to drink and we hit the road. The people were nice and they had all the typical tourist memorabilia and I can't really think of anything to complain about so five stars all the way. read more

The employees are really helpful and nice and they have a vast selection of t shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hoodies, and decent quality souvenirs in a building near the tower. I was unable to drive to the tower area itself and appreciated being able to shop without having to pay the park fees. read more

Stopped in last week for souvenirs and a hot dog. .... It's a bit on the expensive side, which I can deal with. ... I'm glad to see that this place is receiving the many poor reviews it deserves. We were very disappointed when politely asking if they could take down one of their display T-shirts as it was the last one in that size. They said no. WT...?? Isn't this a place of business? I'm sure they'll make up the lost sale to us when gouging you at the register. Too bad it's nearly the only game in "town." This is a convenient spot to view Devil's Tower and take great pictures, without having to pay the entrance fee. Also, the shop is what you might expect -- there are some really neat souvenirs and some really goofy/kitschy ones as well. You can get a quick bite here, too. It's worth the time, at least once, to stop here and see what there is on offer. read more

Nice location but overpriced in every aspect. Save the money and go elsewhere and get more bang for your buck. Ice cream line was not organized at all but the ice cream, when you eventually get it, was worth the $5. The store, to its credit, does carry everything imaginable related to the Devils Tower. Ridiculous overly priced "snack bar." Prices are posted on a tiny printout posted perpendicular to the bar, not listed on the large board behind the counter, so they can get your order and screw you on the cost. Then they give you lukewarm, prepackaged meat in soggy buns. I have no idea how the health department hasn't closed them down. We bought 2 hotdogs and they charged us $5 for each one. Several minutes later another customer was checking out and buying a hotdog and they charged her only $4. Crooked, gross place and I would never step foot in there again. read more
