I took my two pairs of shoes for repair. One pair is still good but the leather boots with leather soles looked messy, and the glue wasn't doing its job. I don't even wear them a lot. I took it there again and after the second time the soles are still separating. I will not use the services of such a business again. You'd think that gluing shoes would be the most basic request but if that's not done correctly then I don't know what kind of expertise one can expect on more difficult shoe repairs. Very tacky and messy work, he was unprofessional when asked about the mistakes he made on my pocketbooks , with his disrespectful comments he told me I should have brought them back to the companies that I bought them from., Nevertheless I paid him 40$ per item, now I understand why he is so miserable and will forever be.... This business will never see my face ever again. I don't have the pocketbook to sent pictures of what he did . Very good work and Jim the owner was helpful and friendly. Jim explained the necessary repairs for my hiking boots and a pair of Steve Madden low boots that needed new heels. I know others who have gone here for years and are loyal customers. If you buy expensive shoes or boots you can get them repaired here. Cheap shoes are not worth the money to repair. Right before the pandemic I brought in a pair of brand new white Dansko nursing clogs all leather. The Shoes were a little to tight on my foot so he was kind enough to take them and said hed try his best. I believe they were a pair of 36 or 38 barley worn. They cost me over hundred dollars. Small place on busy street in Milford...they do alterations and shoe repair and seem to have a lot of machines and repair materials for use on their items. Guy working barely spoke English but was very sweet and fixed my sandal in less than 5 minutes...it needed some heavy duty glue for a strap that came lose out of the sole of the shoe. He told me that this particular glue has a compound that works stronger than super glue and that I should have no problems again. Paid $6....VERY reasonable and was in and out in less than 5 minutes on a Friday afternoon. I would go back again or recommend to others....shoe repair places are hard to come by these days. read more

I recently bought a pair of Birkenstock's and although they are the proper size for me, because my feet are so flat, the straps on them were still just a little too loose even on the tightest notch. Someone suggested I go to a shoe repair place and ask if they could add another hole to the straps. Well, I found this place and did just that! Initially he thought he might not be able to add another hole to the straps, but upon further inspection he said he could do it. He was able to add another hole in the straps in just a few mins, while I waited. Extremely reasonable price as well. Now they fit perfect! read more

I used to use this place all the time and brought thousands of dollars worth of clothes to be tailored until the other day when I returned with an item that was not done properly. I was told that I never brought the item to him. Since the new name change I think maybe the business has turned bad and I will no longer be using this place. This place is fantastic. Had boots repaired here for $25 and was quoted elsewhere at $45. Had another pair of boots that other cobblers told me were "unfixable" repaired while I waited for less than $15! Craftsmanship was excellent and both shoes are like new. This guy is great. I brought my husband's work boots there so he could fix the sole on one. He made it better than new and then polished up the other boot for good measure. Botched resoling job. Not ready on time. Wanted to charge extra to fix the problem he created. Never again.

I wanted several pairs of shoes repaired and cleaned so decided to bring my shoes here based upon yelp reviews. The man that owns this business stated he did not clean light colored shoes. I did question how this is possible when it was a shoe repair I was in and he gave me some excuse. Based on his response, I figured he must not repair the shoes himself but sends work out to a third party. I also stated I wanted one pair of suede/leather shoes cleaned and heels and full soles on two other shoes. He said he would do the work and requested I pay up front, which I did. He then stated repairs would take three weeks because he was going on vacation. I agreed because I didn't need the shoes back immediately. I came three weeks later and picked up my shoes. When I got home I realized the light tan pair of shoes was ruined with permanent ink on one side! The leather/suede shoes were not cleaned in the back and the heels were not replaced on two pairs of shoes - which is what I paid for. After fully inspecting the work that was not done, I realized he completely overcharged me for work that was not done. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT bring your shoes here. I can't in good faith recommend this business to anyone. read more

I brought 2 pairs of shoes in. The black ones needed new tips on the heals. The grey ones needed tips on the heals and the strap tightened. When I went to pick them up, the owner couldn't find them so he asked me to come in the back room and look for them. Three weeks later, one of the tips fell off. I went back and asked how long his warrantee was and he said 1 month so I showed him my shoe where the tip fell off. He said it wasn't his work. I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I reminded him of how I had to go in the back room and look for my shoes and the $42 dollars I gave him but he insisted he wasn't the one that did the work. Unbelievable! That someone would lie to avoid putting a little rubber tip on. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there but if you do, get a receipt because he didn't even give me one and I had to pay cash before he even did the work! read more

Was told it would take a week of more because the set up of the sewing machine would take time for the special stitching. Twice I have had pants/shorts altered (e.g., waist taken-in), and this guy has done a terrific job. He takes the time to fit and pin the item thoroughly and correctly. The items took about a week to complete (faster than the other alterations shops in Milford) AND they were ready when promised (also, better than the other alterations shops in Milford). He pressed the items, put them on hanger, and wrapped them in plastic for a clean presentation. While these step seem elementary, they are unfortunately not common at other alteration shops. read more
