Stopped in to have the clasp of my watch repaired and to have a link removed. This was one of the worst experience my sister and I have ever experienced!!! We initially went in here to inquire about a Rolex watch. The manager Kevin assisted us and he was very professional (4 stars); discussed with us different styles. My sister then decided on the 31mm stainless steel black mother of pearl dial with jubulee bracelet, which cost around $10k. My sister had to put a deposit down in order for the watch to be delivered from another store. Kevin stated that it will arrive in a couple of days and the store would give my sister a call. A couple of days later, no phone call (1 star for that!!!). My sister had to follow up and spoke to David. He said the watch didn't come in yet and it will in a couple of days, that someone will also follow up. A week later no phone call, therefore, my sister and I had to go into the store personally and get our deposit back. We were just disappointed with the un-professionalism that this store had displayed especially for a $10k watch. When we arrived, we asked if the watch was in and David stated that it's back in the main office. That was such bull shit, excuse my language!!! If it was to arrive, why wouldn't they keep it at the store to sell it. He wasn't even that apologetic and was rude giving us an attitude that he did follow up with us and that it's our fault that we never came, which was so untrue!!! He also made a smart remark that made him such a pompous old prick. Sorry for the name calling, but I felt very insulted of his comment. Instead of him truly apologizing, he said..'oh well, we can easily sell the watch anyhow.' Now really??? Who the hek he think he is being a salesman and making that comment to us like that! If he had the brains to realize that not many people can fork out $10k for a watch instantly especially with the economy. For god sake, can he afford one without the discount. We went to the location in Sacramento at the Arden Fair mall and there were EXTREMELY rude. We then went to this location and everyone was really friendly. We were purchasing wedding bands and it's such an exciting and once in a lifetime moment, the people here made it fun and we left very happy. The salesman was knowledgable, listened to what I wanted and he wasn't pushy. He didn't assume we would or wouldn't spend a certain amount and showed me many options ranging from a couple 100 to a couple wedding bands over $1000. Stockton is lucky to have such a luxury jewelry store as Devons. I recently purchase made my first purchase from Devons after years - yes, years - of deciding where to buy a Rolex. Ultimately, I chose Devons over two Bay Area luxury jewelry stores (and authorized Rolex dealers) where I normally purchase jewelry. The choice was easy: every time I visited Devons prior to my final purchase (two or three visits), I was impressed by the staff's knowledge, patience, and overall attitude. My eventual visit to make a purchase was no different. Indeed, I think it was the smoothest and most enjoyable big purchase I've ever made. Although I will probably still go to my regular Bay Area jewelers for future non-Rolex purchases, I will be certain to return to Devons for any future Rolex purchases (and maybe other purchases). Let me start by saying every kiss does not being with K. My fiance and I initially were going to go to Kay Jewelers for our wedding rings and we're so glad we didn't. Bal assisted my Fiance and I and he was phenomenal, great customer service and very personable. We had a budget, and although we went a little over, he worked with us, was not pushy and we were able to get my engagement ring, my wedding band and my fiances wedding band for a great price. They were in the middle of a system upgrade so the process was a little lengthy BUT both Heather and Bal kept us occupied the entire time. We were not approved from financing through Synchrony and Heather and Bal went above and beyond to get us in house financing to ensure we can buy our beauties. To top it all off, the sizing was done in a timely manner and I was able to pick up my rings 3 days later. Bal ensured to keep in touch and make sure I knew what was going on. When I went to pick up my rings Heather greeted me with a smile, was super informative and steamed my ring before I left. Visiting my 91-year old Uncle and 81-year old Aunt in Stockton from Southern California over the Fourth of July holiday, I noticed that my Uncle's Time (not Timex) watch - a watch that he received from a Time Magazine subscription offer - required a new battery. Hence, I Yelped to locate the closest jewelry store and discovered DeVons Jewelers. I was a little concerned as we approached their premises as they proudly displayed in their window signage that they were a Rolex Authorized Dealer. This concern was elevated when I walked up to their locked front door and realized that one had to ring a door bell to be granted permission for entrance. Nevertheless, I rang the door bell and Camlyn promptly opened the door. As I was discretely describing to her the reason for our visit, my Uncle immediately went up to the counter and began speaking with Kevin. Kevin treated by Uncle - a WWII Veteran with the 11th Airborne Division - with the UTMOST RESPECT and immediately replaced the battery. WOW - this type of service is not experienced every day. I was so impressed by Kevin's professionalism that the least I could do was to view their inventory. Kevin took another 20 minutes of his day to preview their current Rolex Product Line, albeit, I was NOT even thinking of making such an acquisition. I thanked him for his time and when I offered to pay for my Uncle's battery, he told me it was on the house. Another WOW. He then proceeded to hand me a Rolex Book detailing their 2018 Product Line just in case he stirred my curiosity in such time pieces. Another WOW. So to make a long story even longer, I spend the weekend researching Rolex and its history and acquired new founded knowledge and an appreciation for this fine company. Therefore, I contacted him the following week and expressed an interest in the Rolex Explorer (214270). He advised me to return to the store and he would make it worth my time. He did and I make the acquisition. Needless to say, I was very impressed by his salesmanship and knowledge of their Rolex Product Line. He was value-added and relationship-driven versus transactional-driven in his sales approach. The closing was also very unique and methodical as he was assisted by both Camlyn and Alisha to properly document the transaction and abide by the Rolex Protocol - i.e. triple verification of the serial number, immediately notifying Rolex to formalize the warranty and record the sale, etc. This was a truly impressive sales cycle that started with a simple act of kindness to an elderly gentleman and replacing a 30-cent battery which ultimately resulted in the sale of a Rolex Explorer. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business establishment due to Kevin and the culture he has instilled in his staff to be professional and respectful to all - an EXCELLENT buying experience. read more

My husband proposed with a pearl ring he bought from the DeVon's in Medford, OR (where we currently live) (and btw he stated he had a very positive experience there too) but he and I are both from Stockton/ Lodi. On one of our many trips to visit family in Stockton we decided to buy our wedding rings/bands there since the Medford store had closed down. I was a bit disappointed when I walked in to discover 2 of my good friends who work there were not currently working at that time. Kevin the manager told us they would be in later if I wanted to return but he was more than happy to help us now if not. I strongly considered waiting until their shift started but since we were only in Stockton for a limited time and still had lots of family to visit I thought the timing wouldn't work out. Kevin was very patient as we browsed, unsure of what we really wanted yet and he was very friendly and helpful showing us several options and helping us narrow it down. I left with my pearl ring cleaned and a new engagement ring and wedding band for me and one for my husband and a very satisfied customer! I've gone in several times since, each time we are in town we go have our rings cleaned or fixed (I accidentally bent one of the prongs holding my diamond in place) and not only are my amazing friends Anthony and Ciarra so friendly and helpful but every single staff member we have encountered in there has been courteous and professional! I had a couple people give me personal recommendations for Devons so I really wanted to buy the engagement ring from them. Anthony was the person to help me out. He showed me a few really nice rings but wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Just when I wasn't sure if I was going to find what I wanted Anthony pulled a few strings and put together the perfect ring. It had to be customized a little bit and he told me that it could take a couple weeks. I told him I was hoping to do it that weekend because of a perfect opportunity to make it a special proposal. I went in because my ring got stuck on my finger so I needed to have the ring cut off due to my finger being swollen. After getting the ring cut off I left it with them to repair at first I was a little skeptical with how the ring would come out after being repaired after 4 days of waiting ( The number of days they told me) I went in to pick it up and the ring looked brand new. You couldn't even tell the ring had been cut and they also cleaned the ring. I can't remember the guy that cut my ring off but the lady (Ross) that helped me was very nice and helpful. devons is a little on the pricier side. i went to have a loose diamond set on an engagement mounting that i wanted to buy there. while i was there i seen an engagement ring that i loved for men. i gave them all my info to order the setting and they never called me back. well i didnt end up getting the diamond set there nor did i buy the mens engagement ring there. i bought the same exact mens rings, and i mean the same exact ring by the same designer for a third less. so please do your homework before going there. the people were nice in person though. read more
