Conveniently located within downtown Atlanta . There is a Train station nearby which takes you to airport and other places south bound . Parking is a bit wierd inside the campus for visitors . (other GSU faculty and staff were great)…read more Parents and students: be aware that the Honors College at GSU has a troubling internal culture that can impact student experiences. Leadership frequently forgot the names of Black students and faculty who had been part of the program for years, while white and lighter-skinned students and staff were consistently remembered and engaged. Students were also treated unfairly. For example, one student with ADHD/Autism was yelled at by a leadership employee for harmless stimming, and others were spoken about negatively behind their backs, including being called "weird" despite social challenges. Black students were often only engaged for photo ops or promotional events, rather than receiving genuine support. Overall, the environment can feel hostile and unwelcoming, and students should know that office culture may affect their experience in this program.

This is open 24 hours to graduate students within the J. Mack Robinson College of Business and has everything you need to make your student life better. Vending machines on every floor, private study rooms, public study areas, plush couches and chairs to relax, as well as video capability in almost every classroom that most professors use to record classes for you to review for when you inevitably zone out during a 4 hour+ class. Gotta love that it's in the middle of Buckhead also, so you can head over to the bars after a final to drown your sorrows. The staff and faculty are for the most part friendly and welcoming. The GSU Buckhead Center is the perfect place to take courses to get that degree you'll need to take your career to the next level!

Probably not employed where I am. Yes, some of the classes were less than riveting (accounting and finance just aren't my favorites), yes, the group projects were a major pain in the butt to coordinate and carry out on top of readings, classes and extracurricular activities like having a life, and yes, Emory is not a cheap way to get your education. However, without the resume critiques, class speakers and professors with real world experience and connections, presentations where we had to look "business professional," and numerous gatherings set up to network and add impressive sounding clubs and titles to your resume, I don't think I'd be where I am today. I actually learned a lot during my two years here that I feel prepared me to go out and find a job in corporate America and make a living. As opposed to being a classics major with a minor in basket weaving, and moving back home after graduation to live in my parent's basement. And I did enjoy a good number of the classes (mostly the marketing ones), and I had my best semester of college while I was here. It was my spring semester of junior year and I managed to snag myself a coveted spot to go on exchange to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Without a doubt, the scariest decision I ever made, and the best time I had all through college. And if I hadn't gone to the business school, such an opportunity would not have been available to me. During that 4.5 months in Asia, I developed a love for a city outside the US, traveled to places and had experiences I'll never be able to recreate and met some of the most amazing people I've had the good fortune to encounter. I swear, by the end of the semester, I was ready to quit school, learn Cantonese and try to get a job living and working in Hong Kong. It was that good. It changed me forever for the better, and I'll be grateful for that opportunity for the rest of my life. Agreed, there are many things wrong with higher education (most notably the heinous prices they put on the more prestigious and private institutions), but I have to say that the skills I learned and the polish I acquired at Emory's Goizueta Business School were, in my opinion, invaluable.
