I received extra special Service from my Dewey Pest Control Tech, Ray and his Branch Mgr. Jason Wallis from the Oxnard, CA. office 4 weeks ago. Both guys came to my house and applied TLC to my entire front, back and side yards concerning a really bad infestation of Aedes Mosquitoes. Jason donned a Jet-Pak device and super sprayed anything GREEN on the property: grass, bushes, trees, leaves , plants --you name it! Meanwhile, Ray embedded new Mesh Pots throughout my yard with a new 2024 scent that attracts the critters and takes them out. My wife had been going crazy with many bites for most of the Summer. Now, one month later...we are free of Aedes Mosquitoes. Ray will drop by later today, Nov. 7, 2024 to re-spray and check out the Mesh Pots. Ants have been out of control this summer, I finally broke down and asked a friend who she used. I read some Yelp reviews and decided to call Dewey. I called on a Wednesday or Thursday and had to wait until Monday. The salesman, I say salesman showed up and told me he was my " Ant Expert!" He also told me if the exterior spraying didn't work he would come back and do the interior..... The exterior spraying did not work, I called and I've been waiting for 3 days for a call back. He said I had a 30 Day warranty. I might take him 30 days to call me back. I am so dissatisfied with their service, customer service, and lack of concern for their customers! Shame on you DEWEY!!! Yesterday we had a knock on our door from a rep for Dewey. Funny enough we were in need of pest control. The guy said perfect we can come out tomorrow (which would be today) between 12-3. Here it is 3:00 and no one has shown up. We called and got the run around that they didn't know when the tech would be out to our house. This after my husband took half day off work to be here and cleaning out our entire kitchen late last night. Nothing was given as a solution other then can't you just wait for him to show up? I contacted multiple pest control companies for an ant problem at our new home and Dewey came out immediately when I called. The service technician Brent was supposed to come out for 3 days but when I called explaining ants were all over my kitchen and dining room he made his way over that same day. He was extremely knowledgeable but above all else he wasn't pushy at all. He explained everything in detail and was upfront and honest and knew exactly what he was talking about and how to fix the problem. He is exactly what any company would want as a sales technician. i have been with dewey for about 30 years. the service has been consistent and good. my service rep, ray, is excellent.

Service is not worth it, had to get many spider webs removed myself just a day or so after. They showed up 3 weeks after they were supposed to based on an every 2 months. Told they would show up on the 18th, they didn't and when called told the 30 and I had to ask to get it rushed so it could be on a 2 month schedule. Was charged 3 weeks before the guy came. And to top it off my dog had a major allergic reaction with swelling and burned paws hours after they came and sprayed. Not worth it. read more

Unreliable and very expensive. Their tech will come out spend 3-5 minutes spraying what looks like water around the permitter of the house. About 2 months later they will come back and do the same thing. The charge is about $90 per visit which is ridiculous for the value you are receiving. You could probably go to Home Depot and do a better job yourself or do what I did and go online and order a DIY pesticide kit. Their office is unresponsive and if you try to complain or give them a call you will be sent to a third party company that takes a message and forwards your compliant to the branch. No district manager no corporate office. Very misleading. You could never get a hold of anyone. They sure know how to collect their money and threaten their customers. If you miss a payment that they will suspend your service and harass you on the phone everyday, however, when it comes to customer service they are worst in this industry. I live on 1/2 acre, the guy would spend less than five minutes on my yard. I have cameras. He would not knock the cobwebs down on his visit even after I directly asked. After a complaint to the office I was told he would come back out, he never did, and then I get a bill for two months later and they haven't even come back from the terrible service two months prior. Dewey Pest Control of Oxnard is the best. Professional, friendly, dependable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with. I've been a quarterly pest control and termite inspection customer since 2012 and just had another termite inspection this week. The inspector spent over 2.5 hours in 94 degree heat doing a thorough inspection including diagraming our house and his recommendations. We had the report the next morning. Their pest control technicians come on time, are neat and respectful of our yard and home and are also very knowledgeable. Communication is great, if they are delayed or appointment rescheduling is needed, they always call in advance so you're not left hanging. They did an okay job but the guy always seemed disheveled and distant. A little spooky actually. Even when someone else would do the service, I would get some real characters. It was difficult to tell when they had been there. I had them for 3 years and cancelled when I moved. I did not restart the service with them. I give them 3 stars because they were pretty cheap. I would give this no stars if possible. We called Dewey while we had a bad mice infestation in our house. Each time we scheduled a time for the exterminator to stop by our house, he would either: 1) no show or 2) show up outside of the time frame in which he provided with no warning or phone call prior. We spent a couple hundred dollars just for the guy to set traps that we could have easily done ourselves. We were expecting a more thorough job, as it is clearly evident we have a really bad rodent problem, but just laying the traps was not worth the money we paid. After the initial problem got worse shortly after setting the traps, we called the exterminator back to schedule another check up, in which the receptionist said that she would follow up once she checked information on what they could do for us. We never got a call back. Don't do business with them. read more
