I purchased a car from this dealership in May 2025, and I have had nonstop issues ever since. Just…read moreone week after purchase, the check engine light came on. I had to bring the car back 6-7 times before it was even somewhat fixed. Not long after, the car broke down on the highway and had to be towed to their shop. I was without a vehicle for over a week. When I finally got it back, the very next day the car was hesitating to start and warning lights were coming on again. I returned it once more, and they said they replaced a hose. Two weeks later -- the check engine light came on again. When I told Carla that I would not continue making payments until the car was properly fixed, she became upset instead of trying to help. I asked if we could work something out to get me into a different vehicle, and I was told, "This would happen to any of the cars on our lot." That response alone says everything. Today I went to the dealership just to retrieve some personal belongings from my car and saw "REPO" written on the side. This was shocking, as I personally drove the car there, it was never repossessed, and I was never notified of anything related to a repo. When I started having problems with the car I was told "this never happened," This dealership has been dishonest, unprofessional, and dismissive throughout this entire ordeal. I strongly encourage anyone considering buying a car here to think twice.Save yourself the stress, money, and safety risk, I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone

That was years ago and we still use that car at work on a daily bases. I then had an accident in my Cadillac and returned to Starkey. Larry dealt with the insurance company and made sure I had the best parts and repair possible. I have referred my family and friends to Starkey Automotive and we have never been disappointed in this family run business.

I bought a Jeep from him and shortly after having the Jeep I started to get the death wabbles. A issue he was well aware the Jeep had but said nothing to me about after basically replacing the whole front end I went back into his shop and tried to get him to give me my deposit back and we can call it a wash on all the money I gave him for the Jeep which totaled about $4,000 but I was willing to take the loss to be able to get into something more reliable. He then told me no let me out you in something better. We have had such a hard time with that Jeep and the death wabbles. I am gonna sell it to the auction. He then put me in a f-150 and which in the first year again another problem. The rack and pinion went out on it. He replaced and I paid him to do so. Well a few weeks later I got what seem to be the death wabbles in my truck!! Some how his guys loosened the control arm bolt and my muffler cracked in half because of how they jacked the car up. Every time he works on a car it has another problem when you get it back. But I just got it fixed and went on with my life. Well two years in the power steering pump and radiator go out. When I got the truck he assured me that he had just replaced the power steering pump with a brand new one. (Nothing he uses is brand new) he will lie to you about that. So I let him fix those and again we work out a payment plan and I get the truck back. Well a week later the truck starts pouring out trans fluid and I get stranded in the middle of no where. The truck goes back to ole Larry's shop again and he figures out his guys messed up once again. Now I fell behind on my payments for a month work slowed down but I was gonna make it right and get current. I dumped a lot of money into this truck, even got new wheels and rims on it to make it look really nice. Well Larry saw how nice it was when he as working on it and saw that he could take the truck from me and resell it for close to what I was gonna pay. He will screw you over guarantee his repo rate is probably one of the highest out of any dealership around.

I purchased a cash car from Sindi Motors March 2nd which has turned out to be one of the most costly mistakes I've made my entire life. I drove the car less than 1 day before the check engine light came on and the car would NOT accelerate over 35 miles per hour and the engine light begin to flash. I called Sindi Motors was given the run around about the owner/manager not being available and that my contact information would be provided to him for a call back regarding the issue the car was having. Of course no call back was received therefore I took the car to a local mechanic shop was advised the car needed a catalytic converter and P0302, P0303, P0304, P0300, P1166, P1167, P1399. I had the catalytic converter replaced, changed the spark plugs and wires and made a repair plan as I had spent on my money on the 2900 purchase of the car and it was obvious the car lot wasn't going to be of any assistance. I was given the run around about my title which I still haven't received to date and per Texas Department of Motor Vehicles it was not requested however on yesterday 04/18 I was finally able to pick up my license plates and registration which clearly shows it was not requested until 04/16/18.This morning on the way to work the D4 light began to blink on the car and it seemd as if it doesn't want to go. After being towed to a nearby repair shop and having a diagnostic and a compression test completed I'm now being told the engine needs to be replaced as there is no spark in cylinder 4 and that both the top and bottom O2 sensors need to be replaced. They are also saying as the first repair shop said that this car was definitely not worth what I paid for it in the condition it is in. I was given a registration and Vehicle Inspection report showing that the vehicle passed inspection and the repair shop I'm at said that's definitely false. The repair shop assisted me in looking up my VIN number via AirCheckTexas and it clearly shows this vehicle failed inspection on 12/5/18 but magically it passed inspection on 03/21/19 which is strange because I had the vehicle in possession and did not take it to be inspected. Needless to say I'm angry now and will try one more time to speak with the owner to try and resolve the issues I'm having if they cannot be resolved I will most definitely pursue a lawsuit if nothing but small claims court. It's one thing to sell a used car "as is" I totally understand that however it's not OK to take advantage of hardworking people and commint fraud by producing fake documents and declaring that a vehicle has no mechanical issues when clearly you patched it up just enough to sell. If I were you I'd take my business elsewhere because these people are not to be trusted.
