We ordered a whole pizza pie, half pepperoni, and half sausage. The pizza crust is perfect. The side crust is soft inside and a little crunch on the outside. The under crust has nice charring! The topping was plenty. The sausage covered the four slices. And the pepperoni almost covered the other four slices. There was a lot of cheese covering. It's been 2008 since I had their pizza. Really don't know why I waited that long. But no more. One of the top pizza restaurants in the area. Will be going here soon again. The order of zeppoles were shaped like doughnuts. It was ok. It was on the chewy side. Probably better if it was more fresh. Order ahead so you don't have to wait! They are very busy and I know why! Love the pizza! read more

I stopped in with my family today to place a large, last-minute pie order for a family gathering, and I was blown away by the experience. Despite how busy they were, the owner went out of his way to make sure our order was ready quickly. He--and the entire staff--were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. I called DiMola's on Route 22 in North Plainfield to place an order and simply asked if they offer a senior discount. The man who answered (he told me his name was John) immediately became nasty and sarcastic. He refused to answer the question and insisted I give him my full address first before he would even tell me yes or no. His tone was rude, condescending, and downright hostile the entire call.I've never been spoken to like that at any restaurant in my life. There are dozens of great pizza places in the area that treat customers with basic respect--I won't be ordering from DiMola's ever again, and I'll make sure my friends and neighbors know about this experience too. I am from Tennessee, but originally from the Bronx. We do not have Pizzerias in Nashville, just Artisanal pizza at high prices. Dimolas serves delicious food at reasonable prices. I've had their pizza, chicken parm and chicken Marsala. All very good. The folks behind the counter are very nice and treat you respectfully. This was my first time ordering from here since I recently moved to town. I would just like to say everything was excellent! From the friendly person who took my phone order to the wonderful people working at the counter when I picked it up.... everyone was so nice and that really goes a long way. I ordered one of their special combos of a pizza, wings, and soda. Great value and great food. I had a sausage pizza and it was loaded with sausage and very tasty. I am torn about Di Mola's, but ultimately will probably look for a new pizza place. On the one hand, their pizza is delicious and is certainly the best I have tasted in this area. On the other hand, I have never once had an order be ready on time when I have arrived to pick it up, even when I have received notification that it was ready. I wouldn't mind if I had to wait a few minutes, but the last three times I have had to wait more than 20 minutes past the scheduled pick up time. The worst part is the staff was never overly concerned about this. I received a perfunctory "sorry" that was half hearted at best and no further attempts to rectify the situation. The final factor for me, though, was when I went to pick up an order recently during the second influx of Covid and not a single employee was wearing their mask properly. Two had them below their noses and one had it hanging off his ear, then on his chin. I know that might not bother some people, but it does bother me, especially when they have signs posted telling patrons they must wear masks. Di Mola's, your food is delicious, but unfortunately the poor service outweighs it. read more

this place had to change hands. We ordered a large half meatball and onion pizza with an antipasto salad last Thursday. The pizza was cooked beyond recognition. The meatballs were actually sliced so thin they were cooked crispy the onions that were on the pizza was beyond caramelized onions cook so much just about disappeared, the bottom of the pizza was dark dark brown one shade away from burned. They told me to delivery would be an hour and 10 minutes when it arrived an hour and 40 minutes later my Bill had a 495 delivery charge. and $1.75 service charge a half an hour late and cold. The driver asked why I wasn't offering him a tip. I really didn't feel like cooking which is not like me in the least so I decided to order a Sicilian pizza and a chicken Parm sub. From the time I placed the order until I picked it up was about 20-25 minutes. This place is located on rt. 22 east in North Plainfield in a small strip mall.There is parking , and you can eat there. My Sicilian pizza was delicious. When I took my first bite, the dough was soft just the way I like it. Di Mola's sauce had plenty of flavor and the crust had texture and was golden brown. It reminded me of the way my Aunt Mary made her homemade Sicilian pizza. It was very authentic ! The chicken Parm sub was equally good. The chicken was breaded and fried and then layered with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on a hogie roll hot out of the oven. The chicken was very tender and moist loaded with sauce and cheese. You can't go wrong! I wanted to try their fried calamari but I was too full. That will be on my list for next time. This place is definitely worth trying! read more

I'm not sure I will ever find a decent slice of American style pizza in this area. I was anxious to try Di Mola's as I read the reviews of people raving about. I ordered a large cheese pizza with chicken toppings. The girl on the phone was very nice and recommended many options but I was just in the mood for chicken. The delivery driver got there fifteen minutes quicker than the expected time and she was also very polite. Unfortunately that's where all the good things end. The pizza itself looked decent but as soon as I took a bite I was overwhelmed by the sweetness of the sauce and I was having trouble chewing the mozzarella as it was sticking to my teeth. The sauce itself tasted almost like ketchup and left an odd bitterness in my mouth throughout the rest of the day. The cheese tasted very processed and almost synthetic. Cheese should melt on pizza not consume it-this is a no no. Finally, the chicken was rubbery and had a slight gray tone to the color which usually means it's either old or had been recooked. Drive the extra ten, fifteen minutes to the surrounding towns if you wanna experience good tasting pizza. read more

I moved to the area at the end of August and was stressed from a crazy ass moving day. I ordered a Sicilian pie with garlic and sausage from this place for pick up. Upon arrival I had a pleasant convo with the guy working the register and ended up leaving with a bunch of free slices in addition to my order since I told him it was my first time there. The pizza is delicious and as a Jersey kid (whose mom is obv Italian too) who has eaten a whole lot of NJ/NY pizza that's saying a LOT. Since then we've gotten delivery at our house and the meat Stromboli and accompanying sauce are great. Calamari has a little too much breading but was flavorful. Same with the wings. Always a pleasure eating at this local pizzaria. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. They make the pizza the way you want it and they aren't skimpy on ingredients. There's usually places to sit on a Fri night since most people either takeout or deliver. The pizza isn't too salty and ingredients taste average to me. The pizza isn't too thin but it isn't thick either. With a lack of local pizzaria's around the area, Dimola's stands out as one of the better ones I've had.
