Ordered a Grandma's Pizza and a large original pizza half pepperoni and half mushrooms. Asked for them to be sliced double because it was for an event where mostly finger food was being served. Pizza was delicious as usual, sliced as requested. Only complaint is that I was surprised that I was charged an $8.69 "tip". Had no idea about the gratuity. I mean, when I'm eating a slice or two at the pizzeria I'll put a couple bucks in the jar at the counter for the kids taking the order. But for picking up a couple pies? C'mon now. I've been here over 20 times. Sometimes they have school orders and can't fill locals orders for hours. They were out of pepperoni today. At least a half dozen times they overcharge $2.50-$3.50 for a topping on a personal pizza and neglect to even put the toppings on the pie. I make a lot of money and would never complain but i won't spend money here anymore. Dominoes is down the road and better. read more

Recently moved back in the area and the grandmas is better than ever. Now live farther away than before and still make the drive to get it. There is more cheese than I remember from back in the day. It is topped with chunks of tomatoes, which I sometimes don't like at other places but they stew them or something because they are perfect. Nice seasoning and great overall taste. The pizza is so good. It's too bad they can not get the orders right, cannot deliver on time (or even within an hour of estimate), forget to even make your order and seriously just don't really care. Been a loyal customer for years despite the mix ups bc the pizza is so so good. After a break, gave another chance tonight and had to call to see where our pizza was after waiting two hours despite estimated delivery time of 1.5 hours. Shocker! Pizza not made. I am a first time customer who was in the area on business when I drove by Clemente's and decided to give it a try. After reading the reviews on their Grandma's pizza pie, some of which stated the Grandma's pie was the best they ever tasted, I ordered one to take home. My advice: save your time and money. What were the reviewers thinking??? The Grandma's pie was horrible. It was tasteless, had a paper thin crust and barely any sauce or mozzarella on it. If it were free, I'd decline. Whoever wrote the reviews on this pizza pie, have never eaten a good tasting Grandma's pie in their lives. Lesson learned. I will never patronize Clemente's again. My experience taught me no matter the pizzeria, sample a slice of whatever pizza you order first -- while you are still on the premises. If I did, I would not have wasted good money and rendered myself with an inedible meal. I threw the entire pie out. The only positive to patronizing Clemente's was I made a donation to a local small business when I paid for the worst ever Grandma's pizza pie in New Jersey or New York City area. read more

I've lived in the area for a while but had yet to try Clemente's until tonight - I've been missing out! The pizza is delicious. I brought my kids and ordered the prerequisite chicken tenders which were so good I'd order them as my own entree. Excellent matchstick fries as well. The staff was very accommodating and friendly especially considering my 1 year old cried for most of our time eating in the dining area (which is cozy and great for a quick bite!). I was looking around the area for a small personal Hawaiian pizza but they usually only make large pies because it is a specialty pizza but Clemente's accommodate my order . Clemente's does a thriving pizza business but we ordered 3 half pans of pasta/chicken to go. The penne with vodka was remarkable. Adults loved. Finicky kids loved. We demolished that dish. Chicken parm was also great and we liked that they cut the chicken breasts in big pieces which was good for a big group if some folks just wanted a taste (but you WILL go back for seconds). The third dish of cavatelli and broccoli wasn't bad. It just lacked a little flavor (that could be fixed with a little more garlic, olive oil and salt). Honestly, it was probably just the contrast to the first two dishes that were so rich and bursting with flavor. We would look forward to ordering from here again and definitely will add a pizza next time because I fully expect the buzz is worth it. But don't overlook the pasta alla vodka and chicken dishes which were pretty impressive. I hope there are leftovers for breakfast. read more

Then when I say if the pie can be ready for pick up at 8:45 she says that's not possible I look online and their restaurant is supposed to be open until 9pm, I don't get it. So I then asked what time they close and she said that they like to "sometimes" leave around 8:30- 8:45. The business should at least update their times online. read more

I typically love Clemente's and have been patronizing this place for years. So have friends of mine. BUT, not sure what happened lately but we had pizza last night and it was SO salty. Like, killer salty! EH! My 15 year old even agreed and said she could feel the salt for hours afterwards. What did they do? How is this possible? I need an explanation! My salad was great...fresh spinach, tons of kalamata olives and delicious dressing. There are so many pizzerias in a two mile radius so if they cannot fix their pizza, on to the next! So disappointed. I don't live in the area but was there for an appointment. Everyone there recommended this place. It was a simple order veal piccata. Comes with salad and pasta. I asked for spaghetti and dressing on the side of the salad. And when I went to pick up the order it get light. I was about to open the bag to check the order as I said it felt light. the young lady behind the counter said oh no, it's definitely the right order, when I get all the way home and open it up there's no salad. I ordered online, waited 45 minutes and went to pick it up. I walked in and the place was basically run by teenagers. I gave my info for pick up and the pizza wasn't even in the oven yet. Was my first time there with my 4 young kids and we were greeted with a smile, the guy making the pizzas was interacting with my kids as they watched him toss the dough into the air. The food was amazing!! From the pizzas to the pastas, everything was fresh and finger licking good! This was my first time ordering from Clemente's and it will be our go to from now on. We ordered a chicken parm dinner two slices of pizza, one plain, one pepperoni. They both were excellent. My toddler, who is quite a picky eater actually ate some of this pizza! I was so happy. The chicken parm is so good. I am very picky about my sauce and this one did not disappoint, which is probably the first time I can say that in 15 years. Being a mom of a small child I don't ever get to eat my good when it's hot. This time was no exception, so for the food to still be so good when it was lukewarm speaks volumes. I can't wait to eat it while it's hot! Hopefully next time. Some reviews have said that the service wasn't good, I had no problems wit the service. They were very nice and moved quickly through the line of people waiting to pick up and order. The portion sizes were very nice too and the price was just right. I have moved into this area less than a year ago and I have not been loving the Italian food around by me. Some of it has been good, but not as good as this. I was in the mood for a cheese pie so I decided to try Clemente's . I placed my order over the phone and pick it up instead of eating there. (I wanted to watch the Heat playoffs.) The girl who took my order was very friendly. She told me it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was. The aroma when i entered was amazing! There are two sections to Clemente's. One which is the pizzeria, it has 4 tables and Cafe Italiano which is part of the same place but a sit down restaurant with waiters. The pizza was large and baked beautifully. It had a crispy crust with lots of mozzarella cheese on top. . It wasn't thick and it wasn't thin just perfect.The sauce was tasty and u could taste a hint of herbs and garlic.YUM! Next time I go back I want to try the Grandma pie. Everyone tells me it's outstanding ! There prices are very reasonable and for a pizzeria they have an extensive menu. The first time I ordered food I had to go somewhere so I asked how long it would take before I ordered, they told me 45 mins so I went ahead and placed the order. By the time an hour and a half passed I had to leave so I called and canceled the order. At this point I was sort of expecting the owner to call and apologize, but not a peep.
