I order Shrimp Marinara Dinner/ Shrimp w/ mussels in a mild sauce over linguini and two orders of Garlic Knots with extra garlic and garlic sauce. well the Garlic Knots came over cook,hard and dry. Also no mussels. ( This order took over one hour and 10 minute ) call the store and complain about the garlic knots and the missing mussel. They were giving no kind of remorse. they offer to give a free meal but I said no and that this is the last i will order from them. San Remo is under so call new management, way to go. read more

San Remo is located in a small stripmall along the bustling US 22. They've got a classic setup complete with wooden tables and chairs along the walls and a corner countertop that surrounds the oven. Because I visited during peak COVID-19 in March 2020, no slices were available. I instead opted for a person plain pie. The staff was wearing masks and social distancing was enforced during my visit. The pizza had a great sauce and a crisp base with good structure. The salty, buttery cheese was quite good and the crust was pleasantly fluffy. Excellent family owned Pizzeria! We love to get a white pizza and add eggplant(fried thin slices of eggplant like ep parm), onion, and broccoli is our fam fav! Also a classic cheese pie is always great. Each pie ordered gets like 4 free garlic knots with it on the corners of the box which is always a perfect touch. San Remo has decent food at decent prices. They also have delivery and take-out. Its not just a pizza place, they also offer Italian meals. Parking is usually not a problem as they are located in a strip mall on Rt 22. Seating inside the restaurant is never a problem as most people order delivery or takeout. There is no liquor license. They also offer pizza by the slice. When you call in your order, they can customize it for you, so you are not limited to just what is on the menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I found this place online by the food reviews given and my boyfriend wanted pizza for lunch so I randomly fell upon this place. I was about to get about 6 different slices of pizza and the owner told me it would be cheaper if I buy a whole pie and he will build the slices how I wanted. He was so kind enough to not to extra charge me because he said it would cost more than buying 6 single slices. Which I do appreciate because I never saw it that way for the other places I been too. You can tell he loves what he does and even cares about his customers. In the 10 minutes I was there waiting for my pie, regulars were coming in and he knew them by their name and their order which is nice to see. I definitely love to come back. I been raving about my experience to my family since my first visit. Thank you for the wonderful customer service and pizza ! I'm just keeping things real. Paisano's now is not great pizza, they fell off. San Remo's is still very decent pizza most of the time, depends on the pizza maker. Their food and sandwiches still rock. We actually come here often just to pick up a spaghetti with meatballs (one entree) and a salad which is enough to feed two people. They make a really good pasta and I love the family that owns this place. Whenever we're in the mood for Italian we call San Remo's ahead and pick up. The pizza is very good but go try the food bring the whole family or take out. San Remo's needs to thrive, in that particular area it's definitely the best pizza joint around for all around pizza and Southern Italian-American food! read more

I got the large margherita pizza, the garlic knots, and spaghetti dinner. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the reviews that I've read. The prices were pretty good considering the competition around the area and NY. The margherita pizza ($14.75) was okay. I know fresh mozzarella cheese was used and I saw the dough being tossed, which gave it an awesome texture. There were slices of tomatoes, which was interesting since I've never seen it like that before. I also felt there was a lack of basil and was under-cooked in the sense that the cheese didn't quite melt, but just softened. Overall, I felt like it lacked something. I compared it to my experience with Lombardi's in NY, and it didn't live up to that standard. The garlic knots looked fantastic, but was served cold to room temperature. I would have liked it if they were toasted before being bagged so I had to warm them up in the oven at home. They were pretty average and the portion was about right. I believe there were 6-8 for $2.25 and there were two extra in the pizza box. The spaghetti ($8.50) portion was big enough to serve two people. It was average. If you like a lot of sauce then prepare to feel disappointed as there was less than adequate sauce for the portion. It also included a standard take out salad with lettuce, onions, green bell peppers, and Italian dressing. I am willing to give this place another try since I want to try what a NJ hot dog tastes like. I may have gotten the wrong type of pizza so I'll try a slice for lunch sometime this week or next week. read more

San Remo's is a great little Italian pizzeria, Jersey style. This isn't the kind of place I would sit down in to eat, it's more of a takeout/delivery place. When I do go in to pick up, it's very clean (as opposed to what the other review mentioned), and the staff are always really nice. It's just the ambiance is lacking, again, Jersey pizzeria style. The Pizza is good, but I really like San Remo's for the entrees. They are very well priced, and the quality/quantity of food never disappoints. Delivery is consistently good, but in the pizza business they do have their occasional busy nights where orders take longer to get, to be expected anywhere with delivery. I would recommend the lasagna dinner, which comes with bread and a nice salad. Their cheese steaks are also very good, and the fries that are included are good and crispy, not rubber like a lot of other places who offer carry out. San Remo's has been in business for many years now, surviving longer than any store in the complex it sits in for a reason. They are consistent, know good Italian food, and to this day keep me coming back. It's the kind of place I know the phone number by heart (literally)! read more

PIzza is thinnest around these parts, so I do like that a lot. Calamari is okay. Garlic bread is okay. Cluck-U chicken is okay, its not as good as a regular store front. Family run so the staff are super friendly and very nice. Never had anything go wrong with my order, everything is flavored well, its a good pick up place for a quick slice. Tonight I tried San Reno for the first time. I ordered a large pizza (half with the works, half pepperoni) and mozzarella sticks. The food arrived warm and delivery was pretty quick. The pizza is a bit thinner than I usually prefer but it had a good amount of cheese and was very tasty. Unfortunately the rest of the order and experience didn't match the pizza. The mozzarella sticks were dry, with too much coating to too little cheese, and it almost tasted like they were packaged, not home made. The garlic knots (which they were nice enough to throw four of in with the pizza) were also very dry. By far the worst, though, and what will most likely make me not order again, was the delivery person. He called me since he couldn't figure out which house was mine, and he was exceedingly rude and had a bad attitude. I described the house and said I could see him parked right outside of it, but he still asked me to come outside. Fine, I would, despite the cold, and told him I would be out in a moment. Without another word (no thank you, no good bye) he hung up! Then he took his sweet time getting out of the car and to the door (as I am standing in the cold), made me take the pizza out of the warmer bag (just holding it out to me without a word) and making me provide a pen to sign the credit card slip. When I told him I had to go inside to get one he was clearly annoyed. The entire interaction seemed like a chore to him and his tone of voice was aggravated and monotone throughout, despite my being happy, polite (saying hi, thank you, etc.) and accommodating. His rude attitude was completely unprofessional and left a bad impression of the entire restaurant. He has cost them a customer as I don't feel the need to get a side of surly with my pizza. read more

The pasta / meat entrees are well portioned & easily split bw 2, come with salad & bread. Prices are reasonable which is good for a family. Subs are also very tasty. Horrible! My boyfriend and I ordered from here a lot and didn't have issues. One night we order and they say they'll make us the last stop. Well over an hour later no food and no phone call. We called over and over and got no answer. Finally they show up an hour and a half later and we say forget it who's paying for cold food? A few days later I order unknowingly it was the same place and the owner screams at me saying their never delivering to us again.
