Honestly this place deserve six stars. It was so easy to find two suits for my husband. Also, he was great at picking out colors on belts, shoes, handkerchiefs, and ties and when it comes to pricing, they help you out with a price that works for you.

Walking in there was no salutations, just a direct sales approach more of a cold contact engagement with no ice breaking. After I informed the person in the front of my desires, she escorted me to a certain section, I passed another salesperson who locked eyes and gave a warmer greeting that made me feel more at ease. I didn't find what I wanted because the fad is skinny pants, I do not wear anything skinny, that's not my style and that's predominantly what this store stocks. The sweater and shirt that I tried were fitting on the smaller size as well. I was informed that they do special orders for a classic fit but the price would be doubled, starting at $350. My personal opinion, the fashion industry should consider that they can't force a person to adapt to the current styles so bring back the styles were all men can have choices and not succumb to a certain fad. There was slight turbulence leaving the store due to the person assisting me asked the sales rep for help with locating my desires by referring me to another company. He said he didn't know but I guess he was thinking on it and passed the information to me and the sales lady rudely interrupted him saying that he told her that he didn't know of any locations. The improvement needed, in my eyes and my plus one's eye were, 1. Don't throw your sales representative under the bus, save the disagreements for the empty store. 2. Don't leave the front unattended, especially when you ask the rep to assist. Well. The search continues!

Hi- I've never…read morewritten a yelp review before and probably never will again but needed to in this case to let people know just how horrible this place is. We rented a suit here for the grooms party for my friends wedding, 10 men, $300 per suit. My first issue with them was when i called to give my measurements, my phone call was answered by a very rude man who told me I could not possibly be that shape and size and they needed to come in (I'm pretty normal 6'1 190 lbs). I live in Manhattan so it is not very easy to get to. After some back and forth and a very complex plan involving an longtrain and expensive uber ride, I went into the store to get measured. This was the only somewhat pleasant part of the experience. He threw a suit on and measured me, no big deal in and out in ten minutes. When i checked the measurements vs. what I had tried to provide over the phone the only difference was the inseam on the suit jacket which was a one inch off (mine over the phone was longer). The wedding day came and it was time for me to get the suit. I had a friend pick it up since I live in Manhattan and it is not easy to get to. He gave my friend trouble saying they don't really give the suits to wedding party members etc. After some back and forth he finally let my friend take the suit. At the rehearsal dinner the friends who had picked up the suits warned me how poorly they fit and that they had to go back to have them adjusted. The wedding morning I put on my custom suit to find that the sleeves were about five inches shorter than they should have been. The suit clearly hadn't been altered from it's last "custom fitting." The pants, aren't custom at all they were a no belt one size fits most pants. I spent the entire day with my hands in my pockets to avoid the embarrassingly short jacket sleeves showing. When the suit was returned I complained about the size of the suit. They offered to return my $50 deposit even though I was "late, and the wedding was weeks ago." I never signed a contract or anything saying when to return the suit and the suit was returned 8 days after the wedding. After dealing with this company I decided to see how much these "custom suits" were online. The Ike Behar Evening Suit we had rented were for sale on many websites (for purchase not rent) at $150-$300. Moral of the story, avoid this place at all costs. You can buy much nicer suits for $200 or $250 and spend another $50 to have them completely tailored to fit your body (and they will actually fit your body) and it's something you can keep for more than 8 days. For any competition of Viktor Talbots, if you are going to be in the business of custom suits please at least provide your customers with well fitting suits and/or good customer service and experience because this was overall horrible. I would imagine any good recommendations on this page are from family and or friends of the owner or employees.

Victor Talbots - Third time to rent a tux here. Never disappointed. You get more than your money's worth.

I was intrigued because I'm always looking for unique clothes and accessories that not everyone else has. Plus, the name is catchy (I used to work in the fashion industry and I'm a professional Marketer who notices these types of things). I finally made it there about a week and a half ago... I'll DEFINITELY be back soon! The boutique is small and cute while remaining unpretentious. They had tons of trendy yet affordable clothes and accessories. They also had their end-of-summer sale. I wound up purchasing the cutest yet versatile lobster tote for only $6! Some fall stuff had already been displayed, but at a very reasonable price point. What made my experience truly wonderful was the store manager- a lovely woman named Nancy who assisted me. She was friendly, helpful, and not pushy (a huge plus for me). We had a nice long conversation about all kinds of things and her husband, Leo, was onsite and took part in the conversation as well. It's impromptu moments like this that I truly appreciate and you don't find every day. I'll visit again soon as I'm only about 15/20 minutes away. I hope to meet the owner so that I can tell her about my experience and met her know what she has an MVP staffer! PS - I was told that after 5pm (I forgot which day) they offer bubbly during your shopping experience- a nice touch!
