When I started to have my existing foam flat roof replaced in August of 2025 on my home in Southern Marin, I initially used a company based out of Roseville, CA. This was to be a "3‑day" job. Early on the second day, I checked on the job at my two‑story residence to find debris spread over the interior of the upper level of the house. Floors, furniture, and carpets were covered with what looked like black, gritty sand. I immediately contacted the company, and they said, "Oh yeah, that can happen when your flat roof doesn't have any plywood between the roof materials and a slatted ceiling." From a few texted images, the roofers immediately identified why this had happened but had made no effort to protect my furnishings and floors with plastic sheeting or to suggest that this was something I should do. The following morning, there was a small amount of water that came through the unfinished roof after a light rain. I was able to clean this up with less than one roll of paper towels, but now I had mud in place of the sandy grit. I asked how they were going to protect the interior of my house, as there was a forecast for heavier rain. I was told, "No problem, we will tarp it better." The following day, I came back to find gallons (50-100?) of water covering my hardwood floors, furniture, and carpets. I had a water‑damage company come in and set up dehumidifiers, fans, and heaters. These ended up remaining in my house for five weeks as they attempted to dry out the interior surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings). Eventually, I was forced to pull up the hardwood flooring as it had started to warp and delaminate, and during this entire process, the owner of the company was non‑responsive and, when I did speak to him, he showed zero concern and, in fact, treated me like I was the problem. At this point, I was at the end of my rope. I was given a referral to Ryan at R&R Roofing. Ryan quickly set an appointment to come inspect the situation and showed a great deal of concern, empathy, and professionalism. He was able to quickly file for a new building permit and schedule his crew to start replacing the still‑incomplete original roof to help avoid further water damage. The job was done quickly and efficiently, and the roof looked great. My neighbors saw the finished results and also asked for a quote on their roof. As unpleasant as my experience was with the first company, working with Ryan and R&R Roofing allowed me to regain faith in humanity and feel confident in the great new roof they installed. I wish I had originally contracted with R&R Roofing, and I would recommend anyone needing to get a new roof be sure to speak with Ryan. I give R&R and Ryan 5 stars for their performance! Well it started out when I was having my gutters replaced and Will the supervisor from the gutter company told me I needed a new roof! I told him before I do anything I have Sunrun solar on my house 24 panels , and I have to have it approved by them for a contractor to remove the solar, or I can have them remove the solar. He said I have a friend Ryan. from R&R roofing and he is sure he can help me out. The next day, I got a phone call from Ryan. and the following day Ryan. was at my house one hour earlier than his appointment! (Two big pluses in my book , A phone call and early for the appointment). Mind you I am three hours north of where Ryan. is at. He did a walk around my house and said I will get a quote for you within a day and the next day I was emailed a quote! Also, very helpful Ryan. knew of a solar company called Suacci North out of Novato,ca. He said they would get the paperwork proposal and installation contract together. Send it to me so I could forward it on to Sunrun. Sunrun's quote per panel was $380 for removal, where as Suacci was A lot less per panel . I emailed it to Sunrun and waited 10 days and no response so I got on the phone called Sunrun another hour wait on hold but got through and yes they got my attachment but never opened it ! The lady from Sunrun said she would make sure it got in the hands of the right guy and three days later I got it authorized to use Suacci North . I called Ryan. from R&R and said we have been okayed to go ahead and do the roof and the solar, and he called me back the next day and said we will be up the following week. The following Monday, the roofing crew was here by 9 am and off to work, they went on my roof. They started right away, removing my roof and Kevin and Mark showed up from the solar company and got the solar panels off my second story. By Wednesday my top story was roofed and Mark and Kevin showed up Thursday morning, to put my solar back on and also updated my Sunrun system and made sure everything was running properly before they left !, and the roofers finish. Friday morning was detail and boy did they detail everything spit and shine! (Another big plus in my book) The crew was awesome. They were always informing me what was going on , and boy did they clean up everything nails, dirt sand it was awesome. I want to give out a big cheers to Ryan. and his team. He provided a very detailed inspection/explanation and even climbed in the attic to find the root cause of the leak for the water damage. The main was that the roofing consultant Tommy was very thorough in his various assessments and explaining the costs and procedures carefully. The price was on the lower end of the scale-which I was happy about. He also conveyed an open trustworthy demeanor that put me at ease and made me think that I was in good hands. I was satisfied when it was time to pay the final bill because there were no surprise costs. The crew were very polite, conscientious, and hard-working, and cleaned up after themselves very well. R&R replaced our roof back in February of 2025. The estimate indicated a job duration of 2-3 days. The crew that came finished in one day. I verbally communicated my concern that the gutter covers which had been installed just prior would be preserved in good shape as they found them. Everything seemed fine until the first big rain. I noticed there was a lot of flow down the drainpipes, from what looked like a blocked drain. This was not supposed to happen with our gutter cover system. Our handyman checked the gutters and found a ton of debris in the gutters clogging the spouts. In addition, he showed me pictures of incomplete roofing, uneven sections and exposed areas. I contacted the company and they sent a crew right away. They filled 3 or more large trash bags with debris, cleaned out the gutters and corrected the uneven and missing parts. I thought this was the end of it. A year later, my handyman went up and checked the gutter covers. They were badly damaged, with missing screws, indoor screws instead of outdoor ones, and areas of clogging with debris. It appears that R&R Roofing did not use care when dealing with the gutter covers. They damaged them beyond repair. As a result, we had to pay our handyman to bring the gutters and gutter covers back to proper functioning. read more

I completed this review on google review but also wanted to add to Yelp. Customers complain when things go wrong but sometimes neglect to praise outstanding customer service. This company is outstanding. If you are looking for an honest and professional roofing company, look no further. R&R Roofing is very professional, transparent and honest. My elderly mom's house had a couple roof leaks during the last storm. They came out and put tarp on the house to prevent the leak and then provided a quote to fix the leaks. Because of the professionalism and courtesy they showed when tarping the house, our family decided to use R&R Roofing to fix the roof before the next rain. The staff provided the work exactly as quoted. Requested no payment until the work was completed. They also cleaned up the entire workspace. We were so impressed that we also hired them to fix the inside ceiling. And again, the job was completed as quoted. And shout out to Tina who runs the office and always returns every call. Also,Rudy who comes on site and ensure everything is completing as stated. Going forward before I use anyone, I will be calling R&R Roofing. This place appears a sketchy. Tommy answers the texts and says he used to own the company and says Rudy his employee now owns it? Why are there only 2 reviews? When I start to ask Tommy questions about the contract he wants me to sign (btw he wrote that w/o even driving to the house), he tells me that I could do it myself. When I say I need to talk to the owner, he says he is too busy and to sign the contract first and then I can meet the owner. read more
